La imagen es tomada de un manuscrito del siglo XIII del libro escrito por el doctor de la Iglesia, san Agustín. Las Confesiones de San Agustín es una obra espiritual de palabras mayores propias escritas por un genio impresionante santo de la Iglesia Universal.

Hoy tomé esta foto y le di un poco de filtro. El libro estaba envuelto en plástico. No me acuerdo cuando lo compré. Creo que cerca del 2018 cuando supe de Marian Press en MA. Son casi 700 páginas de este libro autobiográfico. Es una joya espiritual del catolicismo místico y me encanta que está dividido en entradas. "...Your happiness is your success, so let no one take your happiness away from you. Protect yourself from those who try to make you unhappy. When I was young, I used to feel very impatient when someone told an untruth about me; but then I found it is much better to have the satisfaction of my conscience than the approbation of people. Conscience is intuitive reasoning, reporting the truth about yourself and your motives. When your conscience is clear, when you know you are doing right, you are not afraid of anything. A clear conscience mirrors a certificate of merit from God. Be immaculate before the tribunal of your conscience and you shall be happy and have the blessing of God."

Sabiduría 9, 1-18

«Dios de mis antepasados, Señor misericordioso, que por tu palabra has hecho todas las cosas,

que con tu sabiduría has formado al hombre para que domine sobre toda tu creación,

para que gobierne el mundo con santidad y rectitud y administre justicia con recto corazón:

dame la sabiduría, que reina junto a ti, y no me excluyas del número de tus hijos,

porque soy tu siervo, hijo de tu sierva, hombre débil, de breve existencia, incapaz de entender la justicia y las leyes.

Por perfecto que sea cualquier hombre, nada vale si le falta la sabiduría que de ti viene.

Tú me has escogido por rey de tu pueblo y por juez de tus hijos y tus hijas;

La Palabra de DIOS y de sus santos en el Periodista Espiritual–

Este patriarca armenio era un poeta insigne, siendo su espiritualidad lo que marca profundamente sus escritos destilando una religiosidad que sólo emana de una fe pura. Sacando su cuenta, incluso escribió 480 veces, siendo 490 el correcto. El equipo de Evangelizo, mis hermanos en Estrasburgo, lo corrigieron en el texto pero yo decidí grabarlo con el número que es. Qué lindo. Al principio yo creía que esta reflexión había sido escrita por un señor laico cualquiera.

Pero después de averiguar en mi blog me dí cuenta que es autoría de un insigne prolífico autor, el cardenal argentino Victor Manuel Fernández quien además ha ayudado al Papa Francisco redactar muchos documentos importantísimos tales como "Evangelii Gaudium", "Amoris Laetitia", y "Laudato Si".

También recientemente fue noticia por algo que escribió hace 26 años y que para variar es considerado como controversial porque tiene que ver con sensualidad.

Qué cool es san Aelred! se reunió con el Señor un 12 de enero de 1167.

Escritor insigne. Tener ese tiempo para escribir sus poemas en ese siglo tan antiguo y éste sobre la renovación del alma, es un poema precioso y con esa música de fondo de Arvo Pärt: Littlemore Tractus quedó como anillo al dedo.

Es maravilloso que hayan existido tantos santos que nos traen siempre algo nuevo con sus escritos espirituales. " La única lepra a temer es la del pecado".–San Juan Crisóstomo [ c. 345- 407], doctor de la Iglesia.
