Details:
Remember Rosetta? That comet-chasing European Space Agency (ESA) probe that deployed (and accidentally bounced) its lander Philae on the surface of Comet 67P? This GIF is made up of images Rosetta beamed back to Earth, which have been freely available online for a while. But it took Twitter user landru79 processing and assembling them into this short, looped clip to reveal the drama they contained.

So let me get this straight.
The MFE’s had a choice in who they could pick to pilot to the bases and James happens to pick Keith?
Why does Voltron keep focusing on these two? Ever since they first met when James saved Keith, they haven’t stopped looking at each other
This is being done on purpose and I hope in S8 that they finally get to have a conversation and we learn what their relationship has in store.
I don’t believe that James is carrying a grudge over the punch but he keeps paying attention to Keith for a reason. And Keith is clearly surprised to see how James has grown from that kid into a man.
My theory is that the MFE’s are going to become the paladins apprentices and pilot the lions in their place once they’re ready to retire.
The show has even alluded to it
Judging by who the MFE’s picked, I’m guessing that James is going to pilot Black, Leif is going to pilot Yellow and Rizavi is going to pilot Green.
Kinkade could go either way when it comes to Lance and Allura because even though he picked Allura, he’s more like Lance when it comes to sniper skills.
But then that leaves one pilot missing.
An alternative would Keith keeping his position as Black and James taking Red, Rizavi taking Green, Kinkade taking Blue and Leif taking Yellow.
I believe they’re definitely going down this route. How they will do it, I have no idea but I think Voltron will end with the current paladins retiring and the MFE’s taking over.
Going back to James and Keith, I really want them to interact in S8 and I’m guessing that James is going to pilot Black since he’s the leader of his own team.
They wouldn’t make Keith and James do all that glancing for nothing. They wouldn’t keep James around for nothing. Something is going to happen. What it is? I have no clue but all I know is that I want them to interact.
If they don’t then I’m going to be so confused as to what the writers were thinking about having them look and be next to each other often.
