The history of thus goes all the way back to me and some friends on Twitter running an account called MMPR Season 4, and it waa basically if the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers had never "went Zeo." Lots of fun stuff was tweeted. Then I got to thinking, "Well, what if 'Jem' had never gotten the axe and actually got a fourth season? How many more con schemes would Rapture have pulled? Do Riot and his dad ever have a good relationship? Would Clash ever be made a Misfit? Would we ever get to see Pizzazz's mom?.Does Danse ever find HER mom? Would any of these bands survive? Would Astral and Regine be on any more episodes? Did Kimber choose Sean Harrison or Jeff Wright (or hell, STORMER)? Would Jerrica have ever told Rio that she was Jem? And now many near-death scenarios would Jem have had?"

Thus started Jem Season 4.

I started putting the tweets here on Tumblr a couple of years ago, but in the event that Twitter meets its demise soon (thanks a lot, Elon Musk)...this will be our new home. Much like Howard Sands letting the Starlight Girls squat in that brand new Starlight Mansion.

Jem's songwriting credit on the newest Jem and the Holograms album is J.Benton, which adds more fuel to those rumors that she's really Jerrica. Jerrica is face-palming herself for letting that get past her in the final approval stage for the new album.

We get an episode of Kimber asking Synergy what her life would be like if she went solo.

It has its pros and cons. The pros is that she's not under Jerrica's thumb and has LOTS of creative control. The cons is that she's in major competition with Jem AND Pizzazz.

Some of Shana's newest designs get mysteriously stolen. She gets livid to see the Stingers wearing them in their latest music video.

Jem tells her to let it go and that she should be flattered. Shana gets even more mad that Jem's acting like this about it...especially when the Misfits pulled the same thing in Italy.

Jetta catches Roxy watching "Sesame Street." Roxy threatens to deck her if she breathes a word of it to Pizzazz.

Jetta starts playing "Put Down the Duckie" on her sax to taunt Roxy.

Clash is asked a few questions backstage by a music journalist at a Misfits show. In the article, Clash is mistakenly referred to as a member of the band.

Pizzazz has a fit about this & bitches to the magazine. Clash revels in actually being identified as a Misfit.

Jerrica has Synergy create another persona for her to test Rio again.

Rio outright calls her out on it this time. "I know it's you, Jerrica. I know you're Jem, too.

The rest of the Holograms get kind of resentful that Jem gets so many costume changes during their live shows because she uses Synergy. Kimber asks if they could get some holographic costume changes, too. Jerrica gives some excuse about "not wanting to run down Synergy's energy."

Aja speaks up and says that is not true. The rest of the band refuses to do any more shows until Jerrica relents.

Hasbro puts out new doll fashions after this episode.

Jem rattles off some requests for Rio to go do for her. Rio responds with, "Wow, you're starting to sound bossy like Jerrica."

Video pitches a music video idea to Riot for the Stingers, but he rejects it purely because he doesn't want to take direct from a woman. He then directs it himself with THE SAME PITCH and takes full credit for it.

Kimber gets mad during a band rehearsal and quits. Again.

Jem, Aja, and Shana all take bets on how long it takes for her to come back. Raya stays out of it. (Aja wins the bet. Two days.)
