the editor kidnaps polyblank for the 5th time in a month and they don't even care.mentally checked out.they're thinking about pigeons while he monologues
""bedMAN" is not a name he chose but one that was applied to him, and he has no real attachment to it as shown when he introduces himself as "bedman, or something similar", and despite it having 'man' in it, he's pretty much the least masculine male character in the cast (not counting pre-transition bridget of course) being small, skinny, and androgynous when most of the other men are jacked, plus while his canon age is unknown (besides being older than his 12-y/o sister) he is seen by others as a child and estimated by chipp to be in his mid-to-late teens, making the "man" part of his name even more unfitting.
his actions and dialogue throughout the story show that he's treating "bedman" as a villainous role that he's playing to achieve his goal of saving his sister delilah, and because ariels has convinced him that everyone she orders him to kill will be brought back in the end, he detaches it from reality by viewing it as essentially theater. basically, the role of "bedMAN" is one that he's somewhat detached from, just like how we're detached from the role of "man" until our eggs crack
bonus: the only time he expresses genuine happiness is when faust uses his instant-kill on him, giving him plastic surgery to look, in romeo's words, "kawaii", and giving him a more girlish appearance, however he expresses displeasure if the move gives him a more masculine face." - Anonymous
