                                                                       Job satisfaction
A nurse practitioner is a qualified nurse who treats a wide variety of medical conditions such as, asthma, allergies, diabetes and infections such as, ear infections and urinary tract infections. They also educate their patients and family members on how to prevent diseases and other health issues from occurring. Although long hours and extensive schooling, a nurse practitioner is a good career for strong-minded people who can make decisions to save other’s lives. Not only is being a nurse practitioner physically and emotionally draining, there are also many rules that they must follow, so that they can protect themselves and keep their body up to be able to continue to take care of others.
In order to have the most experienced people, there is extensive education involved before becoming a nurse practitioner. The requirements are one must earn a master’s degree, but before going after more advanced practice roles, individuals must have a registered nursing license, and have a good background in science (“How to become a Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner”).Classes that are normally taken to pursue this job field is, physiology, anatomy and pharmacology(“How to become a Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner”). A numerous amount of Advanced Practice Registered Nurse programs prefers jobseekers to have a bachelor’s degree preferably in the health science (“How to become a Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner”). This gives the worker more job opportunities.
The work hours can be extensive for nurse practitioners. Since the emergency room is open for 24 hours the shifts, vary throughout the day nurse practitioner can work up to eight, ten or even twelve hours (“What Are The Hours/Shifts Typically Like for an ERNP”). Also, these nurses normally work about 40 hours a week especially when it comes to night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Individuals that work in different healthcare facilities work in shifts to provide round the clock patient care or sick individuals. In addition to this those who work in the critical care unit and delivery room are always required to be on call (“Work Environment”).
Helping and caring for others plays a major role in the work field of a nurse practitioners. In addition to this, most nurses spend approximately all day on their feet lifting their patients and moving them around, which causes them to have multiple back issues (“Work Environment”). Furthermore, every day for these nurses aren’t always great. Tough decisions have to be made, often which can be very stressful and draining to the nurse. Also, it becomes extremely difficult for nurses because some patients do not always overcome every illness that they come across  ut at times it can be rewarding Lastly, nurse practitioners and many other nurses and doctors must follow strict rules to keep themselves safe and out of danger for any disease or illness that may be going on around at that time (“Work environment”). Some of the rules that these nurses follow to keep themselves up and healthy are wash or sanitize your hands often, clean any surfaces that are being used, carry your personal items, eat healthy and lastly get enough rest at night (“12 Ways Doctors and Nurses Keep From Getting Sick”).
In conclusion, nurse practitioners work very hard every day to save people’s lives from illness and diseases, and to educate others how to live a healthy life. Taking classes and getting clinical experience is important in this field so that individuals can learn what to do and what not to do when it comes to saving other’s lives. On the other hand, the schedule for a nurse practitioner is always very hectic and busy, generally on night shifts, holidays, and weekends. Lastly, being a nurse practitioner is not an easy job for most people. It requires a lot of patience and mental stability that many are not ready to face. Working as a nurse practitioner is far from perfect, it takes a lot of courage, making the toughest decisions, communicating, self -confidence, and last but not least, compassion to help others who are struggling to keep their health together. However, for a strong-minded individual who wants to care for others that are sick, and want make sure others are healthy and in great shape this is a great career.

                                                                     Reflective Essay
The purpose of writing this essay is to reflect on the course itself and to talk about the assignments that were given. At the beginning of the school semester I received a syllabus from my professor Mr. Vyvial that stated all the necessary information to contact him if needed. On the syllabus it also presents the three major essays which are the review essay, the report essay, and the visual rhetorical analysis, the three short academic responses. professionalism/participation and the portfolio assignment. The Composition 1 course has molded me into being more of a analyzer and a logical thinker, while showing me what my strong and weak points are.
While taking the Composition 1 class, there were a lot of new skills that I gained while being in the course and those were logical thinking, using larger vocabulary, and better communicating skills. I chose logical thinking to be the first skill that I learned because, before I entered a college level writing class I didn’t think logical or try to think outside the box about what I would be writing about instead I just thought about getting the paper done. I chose larger vocabulary to be my second learned skill because, before becoming a college student I didn’t normally use larger vocabulary, so taking this class really helped broaden my view of words. Lastly, I chose communicating skills because, it was very important for me to be able to open up and discuss with my classmates and professor about different problems that I was having and also answer important question.
The easiest essay that I have written this semester was the review/evaluation essay. I chose this essay because, it was clearer about the directions and the exact topic to write about which made it very easy for me to understand. Furthermore, the most difficult major essay for me was the report/research. This essay was extremely difficult because, there weren’t many options to choose from causing me not to find clear information about the topic that I had chosen. Finally, the visual rhetorical analysis essay taught most about how people express their feelings in a visual way instead of speaking directly to someone.
I Believe that the skills from my Composition 1 class will help me with more than just my schoolwork. I say this because, learning these skills will mold me into being more of a professional woman that people will take seriously.
In conclusion the Composition 1 class was very successful in helping gain knowledge and show me my weak and strong points with writing. The class also helped me formally think logical, build up on my vocabulary and work on my communicating skills. Writing the three major essays taught me to have a bit more patients when trying to make them perfect. Although I had days that were very stressful, I Still managed to push myself and work a harder to become a better writer than I once was before.
