Absolutely amazing how AO3 is a part of the internet that doesn't sneak in any ads and doesn't have an algorithm and doesn't watch you or record how much time you spend looking at each fic or whatever. It's just right there to use for free. Legend

the work printer cries out, "no stop, that's too much! youre gonna make me jam!" as i load a full ream into her tray, but it's too late. "see, you can take it. you're doing such a good job for me." i coo into her feeding tray as i begin printing the morning reports. her warning lights turn red as she moans in i assume ecstacy

So, in A Scandal in Belgravia, we see this poster on Sherlock's bedroom wall, with Chinese (?) writing? Is there anyone in the fandom who can read it or already has and can tell us what the poster is about? (This is the scene after Irene drugs Sherlock). Please, anyone? Does anyone maybe know a Chinese speaking fan who could take a look?

"John is that-"
"Hm?"
"Nevermind, we'll discuss it at the flat, right now you need to run."
My favorite Johnlock trope is when Sherlock has to press John into an alleyway to escape a murderer/suspect.

“I can’t believe it – even though I should. It’s bloody Christmas Eve, and we’ve been captured. Again. Locked up. Again. Sitting somewhere in the fucking cold freezing our arses off. Again.”
“Okay, yes, I concede you have a point, John. But what exactly are you complaining about?”
“Sherlock, I swear to you—”
“No, I mean it. We’re unhurt – apart from the cold, perhaps. We’re together. And do look on the bright side, John. We’re not even tied up this time. Things are definitely looking up, I’d say.”
“‘Looking up’? Seriously? Are you kidding me?”
“Well, chances are that we will be rescued in an hour or two. And until then, we can try to get comfortable. Share body heat, that kind of thing.”
“Very funny, Sherlock.”
“You know, John, I begin to suspect that you actually miss the ‘being-tied-up-part’ of what seems to have become somewhat of a Christmas tradition.”
“Shut up. And come here.”
For this month’s @sherlockchallenge : Cold
And because it’s a tradition, too, this is my 2023 Sherlock Christmas card. If you’d like to receive one (in exchange for a charitable donation), drop me a note. More information about the card and a look at the motifs (and ficlets) from previous years can be found here:

Everyone knows that Sherlock loves John. Every bad guy anyway.
And they use it. Happily. Gleefully. Poor, besotted Sherlock Holmes, he’s given his heart to dull old John Watson. He’ll do anything for him. Anything. Any price, any sacrifice. There’s nothing Sherlock Holmes won’t do for John Watson. Who isn’t even gay, but Sherlock doesn’t care. Bring John Watson into it, and watch Sherlock dance.
And it’s funny, well, sad, but that’s why it’s so funny, because John loves Mary, married her, forgave her, she’s his pressure point…You can make Sherlock do anything because of the sad, hilarious fact that Sherlock loves John and John doesn’t love Sherlock.
That’s what they always think, and that’s what they always bank on.
Seems that, even for criminal masterminds, there’s always something.

John Watson is Sherlock Holmes’s reason for living.
Sherlock Holmes is John Watson’s reason for living.
I don’t know how people who’ve watched the show still don’t know this.
