and there’s a neighbor who sings in the shower, but that’s a different story.
alex is taking a gap year. he picks up hotdogs at a local cafe, he plays clubs up and down the street with his band and he flirts disasterously with a certain boy with long hair and a wicked smile.
carrie has a plan, a career, and a girlfriend. that is, until something changes and suddenly, she can’t stand to see grape mentos anymore, and there is a cup getting broken in someone else’s kitchen sink.
one way or another, things are starting to tangle up in a mess of bedazzled high heels, kindergarden day jobs, frozen lemonades, and music. yeah, music is the one red thread holding it all together. like an invisible string.

Julie knows the song by heart. One of the benefits of having been a musical nerd most of her teenage years. She hasn’t planned to actively participate, but something in the lead’s attitude fuels the gears in her brain, making Julie race through the lyrics. There just has to be a match.

Carrie knew immediately that something was wrong with Nick.
And because of that, she followed him and ended up a place she definitely did not want to be. The Hollywood Ghost Club.
It’s all weird, but it still all seemed fine, until she recognized one of the dancers, as one of her closest friends, and it all went downhill from there.
Is she still able to trust her friend, now that she’s turned out to be something so different from what Carrie thought she was? And will Carrie be able to figure out just why Nick came here, and what had happened to him since. Most of all, will she be able to stop these other evils that had been hiding right under her nose the entire time?
It’s a good thing she has help.

Summary:
When he looks up, they’re gone and Alex is alone in a street he doesn’t recognise.
He tries to stay calm, but he’s lost and he doesn’t know where to go. This time, he can’t stop the tears from falling down his cheeks as he whimpers and cries, pressing his hands onto his eyes, to stop the onslaught of wetness.
“You’re very loud,” a voice pipes up and Alex squeezes his eyes shut more forcefully and tries to draw himself more in, to become quieter.
Or, Alex grows up going to parties, falling in love, making friends, figuring himself out and consoldiating his hatred towards parties. Not necessarily in that order.
