Winter from Jamie Scott on Vimeo.
Winter is my third seasonal time-lapse film and the second collaboration with composer Jim Perkins. It is the culmination of 5 years of shooting across New York State and Montreal, Canada.
Because of the nature of snow falling and ice freezing, Winter is more frenetic and fast-paced than my other 2 films. It is by far the hardest piece I have ever produced. At times I was shooting with up to 6 cameras and 4 sliders. I also lost 2 drones in the process.
All elements were captured by camera with some shots requiring a significant amount of compositing.

BAGHDADI — بغدادي from Stanislas Giroux on Vimeo.
Google "Iraq" to see tanks and war. I'm trying my best for nicer stuff to pop up.
"Cairo writes, Beirut publishes, Baghdad reads." This popular proverb summarizes what this place really is. Here is a glimpse of Baghdadi's daily life.
Shot on 28mm, in Baghdad, Iraq.

Light sounds light - First film roll from Mario Cipriano on Vimeo.
Light Sounds Light is a project I started working on in 2015 after meeting Jim Goldberg from Magnum in London during a workshop at the Barbican. In those days something popped in my head but nothing happened. Only some months later I came out with the concept that I started to slowly develop through a lot of try and fail moments.

For the ultimate version of the setup, I plugged an ambient stereo audio recorder to my film camera, a Roland R07 to a Leica M6, giving life to an hybrid camera I use to create what I called PCV - Prompted Compared Visions. I’ve called it like this because it is a content in which for a brief moment subjective and objective vision coexist.

To create this kind of content when I stumble upon something interesting I start to record on my audio recorder, then snap the photo, let the Roland record some spare 10 seconds and then turn it off.
Then it comes to editing. Five seconds of black screen with the original environmental sound from the shooting scene, then you can hear obviously the shutter clocking and then the photo appears, with the sound still flowing.

In the first part the sound lets your mind create a subjective frame based on your memory and personal culture. Then in the second part the objective frame appears, this is the moment when subjective and objective visions meet.
Since I first introduced it to the public at the MACRO - Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma, (Rome Museum of Contemporary Art) in 2019, I was surprised as the public attention was very high in my project and new technique. Different online magazines talked about it like Petapixel and others from Turkey, Germany, Poland, UK and so on. Google that to read something more about it.

• I’m currently on the fourth roll and if you like subscribe to my channel to keep updated.

Now I See Part 2: Sony A7S III from Philip Bloom on Vimeo.
Super in-depth independent review coming very shortly! Sony Europe hired me to make a video for the launch of the long-anticipated A7S III, a camera that we thought would never come out! It made sense to me to make a follow up to my video "Now I See" that I made with the first A7S. It was the video that showed people the amazing low light ability of the camera.
Apart from being filmed on the same beach and on the same exact day of the year, just 6 years later, this isn't a copy of the original video. It expands greatly on it with a strong emphasis on the daylight filming due to the camera's incredible 4K high frame rate abilities. Also, the use of match cuts of the same shot at different times of the day is a nod to the making nighttime look like daytime in the original video. There is also a strong sound design so listen with headphones or some nice stereo speakers!
Many lenses were used and are listed below. A large percentage of the day filming was with the Sony 200-600mm F5.6-6.3.

Negative Supply: Film Carrier MK1 + Pro Mount MK1 Promotional Video from Negative Supply on Vimeo.
With our Film Carrier MK1 and our optional Pro Mount MK1, digitizing negatives or positives at home or in the lab has never been easier. Unlike traditional flatbed scanners, or aging traditional roll scanners/minilab scanners, our unit is built around a system that can evolve with digital camera technologies, allowing you to continuously upgrade your camera (aka hardware) when you deem fit. With the Film Carrier MK1 you’ll be able to scan entire rolls of 35mm film in as little as 5 minutes or less, all while keeping the emulsion safe and aligned during frame advancement with our precision drive mechanism. With the optional Pro Mount MK1, tricky camera setups are easy to level for consistent and sharp results thanks to adjustable feet and a weighted base, ensuring precision and stability, and you’ll automatically remove dust with our anti static brush!

Glowing Eyes Tutorial – recreate the Blade Runner Replicant eye effect in camera from Nikolas Moldenhauer on Vimeo.
In this tutorial we recreate the glowing eyes effect from the Blade Runner movie as a practical effect … so exactly like they did it in the original.
We are going to do so with frugal equipment as well as with more sophisticated setups.
We explain the basics as well as tricks and advanced techniques for even better results.
We recommend a two way mirror (beamsplitter) for best results, we used this one: teleprompterpad.com/en/pr...
