Achievement speaks for itself. Perseverance furthers.
We have another lovely lady from Black Nativity! Meet writer and director Kasi Lemmons.
Lemmons discovered her love of movies as a child and made her first film debut as a teenager in the tv movie 11th Victim. She headed off to Trish, a performing arts school in New York, before deciding to change her major and transfer to UCLA. Not satisfied she left UCLA for a film program at the New School. During all of this, she continued making appearances in tv shows like As the World Turns, Murder, She Wrote, The Cosby Show or ER and films like Spike Lee’s School Daze, The Silence of the Lambs, and Candyman.
