I've made this comment before but it was about a specific fandom. So this time, I'm gonna just bring it up again but make it a general statement about any and ALL fandoms.
Fandom is supposed to be fun and enjoyed by all. It's okay to have friend group within the fandom, but some of you all get a bit too cliquey that it becomes a turn-off for others. Like, you are so immersed in your own little world and when you make a post to ask a question or something to that effect and people who are not in your friend answer your question and you don't acknowledge them but acknowledge your friends? Hmm... and let's not for forget that when there is a fallout between people in the friend group and the one person is looking for support but gets none because they never acknowledged people who weren't in their friend group to begin with? I'm sorry but you're on your own to deal with this.
Ignoring other people in a fandom you're in who are not in your friend group is not the flex you think it is and actually, it's a stupid thing to do. Some of my favorite people to talk to were just random people I met in fandom who weren't part of my friend group. Sometimes, it's the outsiders who are the better friends for you.

I remember getting yelled at by someone for "shipping a bad ship" when I reblogged a post from them that had NOTHING to do with fandom AT ALL and I just reblogged from them; I didn't add any unnecessary commentary. Like, these people are so entrenched in fandom culture, they've made it into a personality trait...

Fandom Problem #4831:
Not seeing the point in filling up the description of my own little fandom space (ie. my blog), which is supposed to bring me happiness and comfort and engender chill interactions, with "nazis dni fuck radfems fuck terfs peepeepoopoo tradwives kys". No thanks. Not here for that shit. Can't tell for sure if anyone belongs to those groups eithout it being advertised anyways.

I'm like... 85% convinced that these people know that the block button exists but they choose to actively engage in this faux call-out culture because they want attention, but for the wrong reasons. It's like "let me ruin this person's life because I don't like them and maybe people will talk to me." It's dumb; they're dumb. and they need to really learn how to actually communicate with people to get friends.

Fandom Problem #4835:
Some of you forget that block button exist and you don't have to be super rude to the people you don't like to keep them away

the idea of public restrooms as "women's spaces" continues to confound me. you know who I hope is in a public bathroom when I go in?? no one. I would prefer no one else be in the bathroom. and if someone else is in the bathroom I am going to ignore them as much as possible. I did not go into the bathroom to connect with other women. I went into the bathroom to piss and/or shit. it's a toilet's space, not a women's space. shut the fuck up and let trans people piss and shit in peace. let's all continue to avoid eye contact with each other and any and all interaction in the toilet's space.

I'm gonna voice an opinion that is going to ruffle some feathers, but it needs to be said.
People who work in food service deserve to be paid a living wage but shouldn't have to rely on their patrons to do so. And if you are someone who works in food service and you complain about a 20% tip and then have the audacity to say "eating out is a privilege and if you can afford to eat out, you can afford to tip", you should re-evaluate your choice of employment. Your employer should be paying your wages, not the patrons and you complaining to your one table of patrons for giving you a 20% tip is ludicrous.
This is also for people who do take-out orders. Patrons are coming in to pick up their order and you have a tip jar. "well, you should tip people who make your food"; not if you gave me the wrong food, I don't. If I ask for baked ziti and you give me spaghetti and meatballs and the baked ziti is more expensive? Either you give me what I ordered and I'll wait for it or credit me the difference between the two dishes if you're too bothered to correct your mistake. Why should I tip you when you fucked up? I'm not giving out participation tips to people just because you think you deserve them.
And this also goes for delivery drivers. You all get 20% as well. "But I need gas!!" I'm sure my order was not the only one you had to run. "But you can pick your stuff up then?" Why? So you can complain that you're not getting money from deliveries? Nope. Not happening.
As much as I am all for tipping, there comes a time when the entitlement from the workers needs to be addressed. Tipping people is because we want to help you out; you can't be mad for us not paying your bills when it's your employer's duty to do so. Complaining about not getting tipped enough and bashing the patrons is going to make people not want to go to where you work and now you're gonna be SOL because of your shitty attitude and entitled behavior. And it's cases like that where I will feel zero sympathy and empathy.

I had an uti start on Sunday and move to my bladder by Tuesday. Thankfully I got my antibiotics that day.
I have barely an immune system and I go out when there is not a lot of people at the store because I can only be wearing a mask a short amount of time before I hyperventilate and then get an asthma attack.
There is no winning in some cases and I wished people would get that.

ONE HOUR AGO: greg abbott, who i have the great displeasure of calling my governor, is calling for the expulsion and jailing of ut austin students exercising their first amendment right to freedom of speech an assembly. every single motherfucker on the right soooo concerned about the first amendment seems to be creaming their pants over college students being brutalized and arrested for protesting. its fucking reprehensible.

ive been seeing a new wave of transmedicalists lately I think we gotta start being vocal again about how nasty they are. you don't need to take hormones or have surgery to be a trans person. changing your name and pronouns is gender affirming care. wearing new clothes and hair and makeup is part of transitioning too. you dont need to pass to be trans, you don't need to be male or female.
nonbinary, agender, genderfluid, genderqueer people are trans too if that's a label they want to use for themselves. and anyone who says otherwise is a piece of shit. it's not "anti-transitioning" to say so, it's anti-telling other people what to do with their bodies. it's pro-minding your own fucking business and letting people do what they want with their gender and treating them with compassion and enthusiasm
