This is entirely true, and itâs frankly retarded to see people say "Embargo go bye bye. Problem go woosh."
Yes, the USAâs embargo is bad foreign policy and should be removed. HOWEVER, the infinitely larger and more pressing issue is the LITERAL COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP thatâs been oppressing that country for the last 60+ years.
To solely blame the embargo is to put your political agenda above human lives. That is disgusting and I will not tolerate that blatantly shortsighted hypocrisy. I will not stand for it. I will not.
Humans matter more than ANYTHING. Humanity transcends politics. Care more about life and liberty than ideology, I BEG.
Be smarter than that or admit youâre a cowardly ideologue who cares more about your political beliefs/biases than objective facts.

Visible Mending
Introduction:
Visible mending is a decorative way to fix up an item. Instead of trying to make your mend as invisible as possible, the idea is to make it part of the garment's design.
Visual mending is not a single technique: it's more of a mindset. If you've got an item you love, it deserves to be mended, and if you're going to put that love into stitches, why not show them off?
That being said, there are some specific techniques that are popular with visible menders. Let's take a look!
Sashiko:
Sashiko is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery that is used to both decorate and reinforce fabric. In visible mending, sashiko is often used to cover up holes with patches or to reinforce thinning fabric. This technique uses a variation on the running stitch.

Embroidery:
Regular embroidery is also a popular technique to accentuate your mends. Check out my embroidery 101 post to learn how to get started. You can embroider patches, or use embroidery to hide or accentuate any stitches you've made to fix holes. Embroidery's also a great way to cover up stains.

Patches:
There are many ways to add patches to a garment. My tutorial on patches is a good place to start if you want to make custom-shaped patches to sew on top of your fabric. You can also sew your patch on the inside of your garment and have it peek out from beneath the hole you're trying to fix. Fun ideas for this are lace or superheroes.

Darning:
Darning is a technique used to repair holes in fabric by using running stitches to weave extra fabric over the hole as to fill it up again. While traditionally darning is done in an invisible way by using the same colour of thread as your fabric, you can also use contrasting colours to accentuate your fix. Visible mending is a creative way to fix up your clothes and give them some personality at the same time.
You should be proud of the fact that you took the time and learned the necessary skills needed to mend your clothes! Show off what you did!
A fun side effect of wearing these obvious mends is that people will notice them. They'll remember your fixes the next time they're faced with a hole in their wardrobe, and it will make them more likely to try it for themselves.

The Welsh Government have recently announced that to apply for a job with them soon you will have to demonstrate a âcourtesy levelâ of Welsh. And ooooh boy are the bitter trolls angry about this!
So letâs take a little look shall we? Dewch ymlaen pawb. (come on everyone.)
Firstly what on earth is a courtesy level of Welsh? Well-
So answering the phone bilingually âBore Da-Good Morningâ, âPrynhawn Da- Good afternoonâ and this is really wild but you can use those same words on speaking to a real life person too đ€Ż
Interpreting short texts sounds hard? Yes but you can use the provided technology to help you.
What if I am the best person for the job, itâs my ideal job but I donât speak Welsh? Well my friendâŠ.

Courses for staff will be free to staff. Often provided during the working day. And you have six months to show you are willing to learn. Six monthsâŠ.
Look, sarcasm aside Welsh is an official living language of Wales. We use it daily. We tell jokes, we fall in love, we complain through Welsh. My mother didnât (couldnât) speak English till she was 8. I didnât speak English till I was 3âŠ. There is a Welsh Language TV Chanel. You may have heard of some of the actors Matthew Rhys, Ioan Gruffudd, Alexander Vlahos or Iwan Rheon- all Welsh speakers- all been on S4C.
All Welsh speakers speak English though. Yes, yes we do- two languages in one head-arenât we clever đ€·đ»ââïž just because we can doesnât mean we shouldnât have the choice. The Welsh language (Cymraeg) is alive because people fought for itâŠand the fight goes on. But because weâre this tiny little country who also speak English itâs a âdeadâ I.e not important language. Fuck Off!
What about immigrants?- you know buddy immigrants have more than one language themselves- usually several and have proven themselves by learning Welsh.
What about Welsh people who donât want to learn Welsh though? Um, not answering that one!
The Welsh Government are the Government of a country with two official languages- asking for a courtesy level of one of those two languages is as it should be.

please practice speaking to yourself in a gentle mental voice. many of us, especially those raised by overly critical caregivers, have developed the habit of speaking unkindly to ourselves in our own heads. this is yet another instance of learned behavior that has to be purposely unlearnt. a good way to start is to monitor your thoughts and the judgments you pass on yourself, and practice rewording them in more positive, supportive language. practice speaking to yourself as if to a child who needs love and kindness. because you do. you do need those things.
in a world as jumbled and harsh as this, you deserve at least to cradle yourself in your own gentle hands. you deserve people who treat you gently. and one of those people needs to be you.
