Jackson chuckled, shaking his head. "Look at you being too busy to have fun," he teased with a small smirk.

Jackson raised his eyebrow. “The scams sound much more interesting,” he pointed out with a chuckle. “You’re a much better person than me because I would show up just to tell them they’re not getting my money.”
“I don’t have time to show up at places like that,” Sophie admitted, “otherwise I probably would.”

Jackson immediately let out a laugh as memories of weird products and ideas flooded back to him. “I get the weirdest pitches in the world,” He laughed. “When people hear you have money that you like to give to other people, they’ll try anything to get some for themselves.”
“That much I understand,” Sophie nodded, “I don’t really get pitched anything, but I do a lot of philanthropy work, and I get invited to some weird charity functions at times.  Though most of them are really good causes so it’s easy enough to weed out the scams.”

Jackson stayed silent for a moment, not realizing the other man was even talking to him. When he realized nobody else was responding, he looked over. "Yeah sure," he nodded.
“Nothing like a stout and some darts on a rainy day. Care for a game?” Blake asked the person next to him at the bar.

“You do make an excellent point there,” Sophie nodded as she put it back down, “Do you get a lot of pitches that are this strange? Or was this a special case?”

“Really?” Sophie asked, her jaw dropping a little, “How was it even pitched to you that you considered it? It’s one of the ugliest things I’ve ever seen.”

Jackson chuckled and shrugged. “I honestly don’t even remember,” he admitted. He got so many pitches, he only had enough space to remember his actually investments. “But the fact that it’s sitting on a shelf shows they’re spectacular salesmen,” He pointed out.

Jackson looked down at the toy and let out a small laugh. "I almost invested in that," he admitted, carding his fingers through his hair. "Your reaction makes me really glad I didnt."
“What is this?” Sophie asked to herself, narrowing her eyebrows at the object in her hands, “Hey,” she said to the person next to her, “is it just me or does it look like someone took a dead raccoon, stuffed it, and then attached it to whatever this is and decided to call it a toy?  What kind of kid would play with this?”

"Well that's why you want to here from a politician... no experience in politics. Though I guess our current POTUS has the same background," Jackson hummed, taking another long drag of the cigarette. "Then again, I dont give a shit about politics. You could throw a dog into office and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't affect me."
Jackson just scrunched up his face, finding that hard to believe. “I guess that’s one way to look at it,” he shrugged. “I wouldnt be caught dead getting into politics though.”
“Politics aren’t for everyone. I never thought I would run for office until about six months before I entered the race. It was never something I wanted, but I just thought that I might be able to do good for the city, even if I’m only in office for one term.” In truth, he wasn’t feeling about his whole life situation and wanted to feel useful. That’s a big reason why he ran.

Jackson nodded slowly. “Sounds… boring,” he decided with a laugh, figuring there was no point in trying to sugar coat it. “You should live life for you nobody else.”
“Some may think that, but I love it. To me, I want to make the city better for everyone, which includes myself. I live in this community just like everyone else here.”

Jackson looked up at the man with a raised eyebrow. He really didnt care about local politics, or politics at all for that matter so he had no idea who he was talking to. “Is there a reason for that?” He asked, puffing out a ring of smoke.
“Hm?” he asked. “Oh.” Henry flicked a little ash into the ash tray nearby. “I’m on the city council. So it would be pretty scandalous if I was eighty-sixed from a place because I was too drunk.”

Jackson nodded in thanks, sticking the cigarette between his lips before lighting it and handing the lighter back over. “Drinking is fun. Being drunk is fun… other drunk people, not so fun,” he agreed.
Henry put the lighter back in his pocket and took a drag. “You’re right about that. Though I earnestly try not to be drunk in public.” Home alone was a completely different story. He didn’t need videos of him stumbling around like an idiot to end up on the news. Who knows what they would say about him. And everyone had a pretty good camera in their phone these days.

Intro for Jacks is much shorter because this is my first time ever playing him where as Xander is a very developed character for me
Jackson grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. He came from a long line of socialites and even if that werent the case both his mom and dad were very successful lawyers.
He liked to throw his money around and fell into a bit of a gambling problem in high school. It was what he was good at. It was all he was good at.
By the time he turned 18 he did the college thing but was much more focused on frat life and his social life than actual academics.
The only reason he got his degree was because it meant access to his trust fund. As soon as he received the mass sum of money his parents warned him when it was gone they werent bailing him out.
Putting his love of gambling and his business degree to good use, he began investing (with a secret ambition to become a shark tank shark). He has now more than quadrupled his trust fund from his returns but is still essentially a grown up frat boy.

Jackson’s friends had left him alone at the bar about an hour ago, but he still wasnt reaxh to go home. Going outside to get some fresh air, he expected to be alone until he heard the door open and close. “Go ahead,” he answered, shaking his head. He licked his lips before glancing at the other man. “Got one to spare?”
Henry nodded. “Thank you.” Then he grabbed another cigarette out of the pack and handed it over. After he lit his, he handed the lighter over. “As much as I enjoy bars, I can only handle being around drunk idiots for so long.”
