Stand By Me Denny Lachance head canons:
-When Denny was still alive he treated Chris like a little brother and resented Eyeball for not taking care of him.
-He used to joke that Gordie and Chris argued like a married couple.
- He bought Gordie a new notebook every time he filled one up (which happened quite often).
- He liked drawing about as much as he liked football but he didn’t tell his parents because they would’ve thought it was “too girly”. He drew illustrations for some of Gordie’s stories though.
- He helped build the tree house and Gordie showed him the secret knock.
- He’d sometines buy things for Chris like school supiles but he’d always make up a reason for it, like that he bought it for Gordie who already had it because he didn’t want Chris to think he was pitying him.
-When Gordie was little he took a plain,white mug and wrote “best big brother ever” in perminant marker as a birthday gift for Denny. It was later placed with the flowers on Denny’s grave.
-Denny once joked that Chris argued so well he ought to be lawyer when he was older. Chris later wished Denny could’ve grown up to see how right he truly was.
