I’m sorry friends, but “just google it” is no longer viable advice. What are we even telling people to do anymore, go try to google useful info and the first three pages are just ads for products that might be the exact opposite of what the person is trying to find but The Algorithm thinks the words are related enough? And if it’s not ads it’s just sponsored websites filled with listicles, just pages and pages of “TOP FIFTEEN [thing you googled] IMAGINED AS DISNEY PRINCESSES” like… what are we even doing anymore, google? I can no longer use you as shorthand for people doing real and actual helpful research on their own.

accessible public transport means multiple priority seating areas and wheelchair bays. not turning away disabled people because there's already one on board.
accessible gigs, shows, and venues means multiple platformed seating areas with space for wheelchair users and their companions. not just a single carer.
accessible public spaces means building changing places toilets that are suitable for adults who use changing tables, hoists, slings, and other assistive devices. most "accessible" public toilets are not suitable for these.
accessible architecture means planning buildings around disabled people's needs, not just installing ramps at the side entrance as an afterthought.
accessible employment means unlimited sick days, non-discriminatory healthcare plans, and the complete destruction of the recruitment industry.
accessible gaming means adjustable difficulty in all aspects of the game, colorblind settings, subtitles, and flashing scenes being switched off by default.
accessible sex means education about safe and pleasurable sex for everyone, sex toys that work with no or limited movement, non-judgemental and unrestricted healthcare.
accessible art means listing ingredients and pigments to make paints safe for mouth painters, creating digital tools that work with body parts other than the hands, and valuing every medium equally.
accessible education means abolishing deadlines and forgiving all loans. it means affordable adapted on-site accommodation. it means more part-time course offerings and no attendance minimum, and interpreters/assistants/translators available for all who need them.

making ADHD the “default” disability and centering ADHD in every real life support group for disabled people was a fucking mistake I think
#it’s because accommodating adhd and autism is usually free or like#cheap enough.#extra test time or work from home accoms or whatever#and accommodating other disabilities requires like#time and attention and MONEY#like I’m just talking schooling here but for example making bathrooms accessible or#fixing broken elevators or#making clear pathways both outside and inside of classrooms#giving people rooms on the first floor#accommodating attendance policy for people with chronic health conditions#like#disability is not only neurodivergence and I feel like we should understand that.#also like to be clear there is a very narrow margin of neurodivergence you are allowed to exist within#before we stop accommodating you also

genuinely there will never be another show like this ever again. nothing as wacky and campy and unafraid to take massive swings. that does musical episodes with a cast they didnt bother to ask about singing abilities (camp and beautiful forever). that's a love letter to art and the truest adaptation of comics as a medium as we could ever ask for.... that works overtime to make every character gay in some capacity just for fun.... that runs 7 entire seasons for 6 beautiful years.... that forces cole sprouse to sing and somehow managed to unlock actually good singing one single time for his origin of love verse and then never again ever. that has god's most beautifully campy dialogue delivered with utmost passion and sincerity. that's as unabashedly FUN as this. that has cheryl blossom my most beloved cheryl blossom. NO ONE'S GONNA DO IT LIKE THIS EVER AGAIN!!!
