"So one of your reasons for living is.... the job?" Simon found that hard to believe. Sure, there were plenty of gung-ho Heroes who really only live for the job. Though the way Eraser said it, sounded almost as if he didn't have the job, he just wouldn't exist. Simon had his own fair share of personal demons, so he thought it best not to pry more at this time.

"And here was me thinking it was the job to die for..." There was a slight hiss behind his words, Simon clearly not a huge fan of the whole thing, the Brit quickly busying himself with gulping the last of his drink down in one go.

The kiss, that is. Here he was, describing the best way to brew the perfect cup of tea - a subject Simon thought was most thrilling - when Beth decided to shut him up by kissing him. Afterwards, the most confused look crossed his face, slowly blinking, as he looked down to Beth.
