You're quite correct; the excitement of such an event does not quickly fade.
From our vantage point, the ground appears incredibly small. Only you appear to be the closest to me in my eyes.
It feels like our very own sky world in that small cockpit.
For a split second there, I wished time would just stand still.
There are just two of us in the whole world, putting a stop to time.
But the sun rises shortly afterwards.
The person seated beside me couldn’t even open her eyes the moment before, but as soon as the sun comes up, she's wide awake.
And as the sun slowly rises, it illuminates the earth under us, and I can almost feel your excitement as I listen to you...
(laughs) Not that dramatic?
I even managed to capture some photos of your expression – mouth agape and eyes wide open. Care to have a peek?
Give me a moment to think of which one to send to you…. hmm, I’ll just pick my favourite.
The one when, as the sun comes up over the horizon, the first rays of sunshine reflect in your eyes.
I’ve witnessed countless sunrises, but the one that reflected in your eyes was the most breathtaking.
At that moment, I was thinking, it’s not terrible either if time keeps moving forward.
Even if it's the same sight every day, watching it with someone else always evokes a different feeling.
Being in your presence alters the way my eyes perceive things?
If that's the case, you'll have to traverse the world and watch sunrises alongside me to validate the theory.

Lunar New Year 2024 Call from Osborn
Heh, I've been gone for thirty minutes and you still haven't woken up.
No worries, you are free to sleep in on the first day of the new year.
As soon as you open your eyes, you should also be able to try grandma’s eight treasure rice pudding that you’ve been craving.
Where am I? Obviously, I’m making all effort to grant your wish.
You mean it as a casual remark rather than a wish?
“First we’ll start with the candied mix trails on top, then move on to the red bean filling, and finally the hot and fluffy glutinous rice.” Your eyes were beaming as you spoke these words.
You just don't have "really wanna eat" written across your face.
Troublesome? Absolutely not. The recipe isn't too complicated, as I've checked. We didn't have any red dates at home, so I had to go get some.
But please be advised, this is my first attempt at making this. So, you can't hold me responsible if it falls short of your expectations.
I’m doing my best to replicate your grandma's recipe, but I can't promise it will have the same flavour.
We should savour our unique flavour together… hmm, as expected from Xiao Xiaowu. Keep going, I’m listening.
But what should I add to make it our special eight treasure rice pudding, though?
Glutinous rice, desiccated coconut, butter, a little bit of pineapple chunks, strawberry and blueberry, and rose confit for an extra special touch?
Mmm, its vibrant colour means that the new year will be full of excitement, and its unique flavour indicates that each day will bring fresh surprises.
The image is so lively; I love it.
The key is to make sure it's sweet enough; only then will it have that festive vibe, right? I see your point.
I still recall the promise we made last year: I'll learn to cook some new foods for you.
This year's treat is eight treasure rice pudding, while last year it was candied fruit. They're both pretty sweet.
You wanna try brown sugar caramel rice cake next year? Sure thing. I'll pound the rice cake and make the caramel by myself.
Is it not excessively sweet? Well, this is nothing compared to having you right next to me. It’s already beyond the limit with you by my side.

I look so pumped up? Do I? The hot-spring at that hotel is not even up to the size of swimming pool at my place.
But the semi-open air setting is not bad. The weather’s good tonight, it’s perfect to enjoy the night view.
You should bring a warmer bathrobe. I dare say you'll love the balcony.
Oh right, there’s a projector in front of the hot-spring, we can reserve a movie in advance to watch while we soak. Have you decided on a movie?
No preference? Then I’ll make a suggestion. What about the film that swept the international film critics' awards last year?
Before this, you said that the film is timely and relevant. How could you possibly forget?
You also say, you want to indulge in a calming aromatherapy session and some wine while soaking.
It’s all been taken care of. So much so that I’ve even ordered chocolate fondue for supper.

Close My Eyes
I had hoped to last until the very end, but I finally cracked. I close my eyes in terror and dizziness. However, the discomfort I feel from being a part of the race has not diminished at all.
After a few seconds, Osborn looks at my face, which is getting increasingly pale, and frowns.
Osborn: Motion sickness?
MC: I…… I’m fine.
After that, the car gradually slows down before coming to a complete halt. Osborn helps me get out of the car and tends to me while the car behind us drives by, making sure I'm not too self-conscious about my fear and motion sickness.
Osborn: If you don’t feel good, don’t force yourself.
MC: But what about your competition?
Osborn: Do you think race is more important to me?
He smiles and pats me on the back. In my heart, I still harbour some regrets and hesitance. I really hope that if there is a next time, I will be able to stick it out with him until the very end.
