i feel like the boeing whistleblower case should radicalize more people. a major airline company is producing planes with less and less regard for safety and it's starting to get noticeable. man takes them to court, which would reduce profit at the cost of public safety. he fucking dies the night that boeings legal team asks him to stay an extra day. if nothing happens about this, i hope it gets through to people that america would literally kill you for a few extra cents

Sick of defending a fucking drawing, a fictional character. My Remus and Sirius are never going to change. What’s insane is the amount of ‘heteronormative’ claims I see attached to this debacle of height and size. I know a man, who is exceptionally tall, built, has had a boyfriend, and topped him the entire way through the relationship. He did not enjoy bottoming, and yet is a bisexual individual, nothing ‘stereotypical’ homosexual about him or his appearance whatsoever. In fact, he’s very much a Remus variant in my eyes; he is softly natured, introverted, and selective socially and STILL A STONY TOP. Real life, real person, not curated from a thread you found on Twitter and have swallowed up whole.

What happened to coming into a fandom space, making something and going, “that’s hot”. When did it become a space to make sure every representation was ticked, to make sure one character isn’t too this or too that. I fell in love with these two men and have since had a very solid image of them in my head and create art based off of those ideas. I don’t feel pressured to make sure I give my Remus certain soft traits to justify making him look the way I do. I don’t feel the need to advertise Sirius being this massively charismatic guy just to give him a personality because otherwise you might think he doesn’t have one, because of the slightly more feminine light I draw him in (which is misogynistic you dumb fucks). Just because, I draw my Remus tall and a buffed out lank, does not make him an ultra turbo Alpha. Just because I draw my Sirius smaller, does not mean he is a helpless twink. But here’s the secret nobody’s telling you— even if I did draw them like that, even if those were my holy canons and preferences for these boys, that’s okay. I’m here to create things that make me go, “fuck yeah that’s hot”, “hell yeah I want to see Sirius get pulverised by Remus and no I don’t want to see Remus get pulverised by Sirius and no I don’t feel the need to defend that”, “yeah I prefer tough love over easy love”, “absolutely love it when one of them is a dick to the other and there’s heaps of toxic tension, or maybe they’re both like that and they’re both sarcastic pricks that have to work it out”. I’m never going to adhere to the obsession of character moulds you lot have created.

Sick of this space being turned into a political pansy parade. It’s alright if you want to draw this gay couple with any features you want, hyper masculine, hyper feminine, somewhere in the middle, trans, prefer one of them topping, prefer them to be asexual, prefer them to be toxic and have grit (that’s my trope), or just want easy fluff. I need Black sisters centric fics, I don’t want Regulus and Sirius with a side of Black sisters I want Narcissa having to deal with Andromeda being cast out and Bellatrix’s descent into insanity, I want Andromeda having to choose between the man she loves and her family. Honestly I want more Andromeda content in general because this fandom loves LOVES to gloss over her getting disowned because of Sirius. Which is insane to me because Sirius didn’t get disowned until AFTER he ran away (still love Sirius though) while Andromeda got disowned because she married Ted Tonks and then got SHUNNED by her sisters because of it. Bellatrix’s spiral into insanity would be so interesting to read about and there’s so much potential there too.

The Black sisters are so complex and this fandom makes them so one dimensional and or side characters to push Sirius or Regulus’ character development further

I just had a new idea for a headcanon!

I was thinking that within The Black Family, they had this tradition that every time a Black child was born, they would give the baby pure silver chains with the constellation or star they were named after.

Something like this but in silver with tiny diamonds. Which cost a fortune of course. Each chain is made specially for the new born. And of course it has magic of itself.

So all The Black Family members have one. Most of them wear it all the time. And others take it off from time to time. But they aren't able to lose them. Part of the magic keeps the chain attached to it's owner. It is a important jewelry as a Black.

They are very fine expensive jewelry (silver with diamonds) that only a family rich like them could afford. And they are kind of part of their identity as a family member. With even a personality of itself.

If a family member gets disowned, they automatically have to give the chain back. They don't have the right to use it anymore.

In Andromeda's case, I believed she ran away with Ted. So nobody had the chance to take her chain away. They didn't care or actually forgot. And she doesn't wear it anymore but she keeps it stored away. And sometimes looks at it remembering about her sisters and what they used to be.

Bellatrix and Narcissa always wore theirs, proud of the family they belonged to.

(Edit: Narcissa would have her flower on her chain of course. A big diamond in the center).

And at some point, Sirius and Regulus switched theirs when Sirius first went to Hogwarts. Sirius gave him his chain, promising that his star would protect him from anything. Even if he wasn't around. So Regulus kept it but in exchange, he gave him his. They made that some sort of tradition. To exchange chains each time they would go back to Hogwarts, to feel closer to each other.

When Sirius ran away and was disowned everything happened so fast that he took Regulus' chain with himself. And inspite of disagreeing with his family and hating what they did to him, Sirius kept using Regulus' chain in his brother's honor. Because he missed him and he felt closer to him.

Regulus didn't take off Sirius' chain as well. The rest of the family didn't even notice he was wearing the wrong chain. So they never questioned it.

I don't know, it is just a random idea I had. It is something that definitely The Black Family would do.
