Big fan of your theories and writings! I was curious to get your thoughts on this, do you think the brothers were the only angels that fell after the war? If there are other that fell with them I'd imagine they might have strong feelings of resentment against the brothers, especially Lucifer. And even if they aren't the same as his brothers it must still be a blow to his pride seeing them there in the Devildom too, just another reminder of how badly he lost.
If we look at mythology, it’s highly unlikely that the brothers were the only angels to fall. The Great War of heaven is said to have included all angels, with a third of them joining Lucifer’s army in rebellion (a third opposed, and a third neutral). Even if casualties were high - and we can’t know that they were given how shocking Lilith’s death appears to have been - that’s a huge number of angels falling after the final battle.
Biblical scholars and demonologists have suggested the number of fallen angels as anywhere from 40,000 to several million, and certainly a large percentage of recognised demon names are known as fallen angels.
Some of those names are in Obey Me, outwith the brothers - Barbatos, Astaroth, Dantalion, Mephistopheles - and equally there are many well known demons who are fallen angels, that haven’t been seen in the game - eg Amon, Samael, Belial, Paimon, Azazel, Sariel, Abaddon, Stolas, Murmur, Amy, etc.
Barbatos was an angel in the order of Virtues
Astaroth was an angel in the order of Thrones (as was Mammon)
Mephistopeles was an angel in the order of Archangels, however he was known as a demon first.
Dantalion is sometimes claimed as a fallen angel, others times not.
In the OM timeline, Barbatos is in the Devildom long before the brothers are, which doesn’t neccesarily contradict demonology - Lucifer was not the first angel to fall, he was simply the greatest angel to fall. Some of the angels closest to him in age were the first to fall, the Watchers who observed humanity and were moved to help the people, falling in love with them and creating the nephilim - children of angels and humans.
There’s no reason other angels couldn’t have fallen between the Watchers and Lucifer, and it’s interesting that OM has linked Lucifer’s fall to the fate that befell the Watchers. It’s Lilith who falls in love with a human, and she is the spark that lights the rebellion. In truth though, we know that Lucifer’s doubt was growing long before then, and his pride firmly established.
Moreover, we know that Lucifer the Archangel was greatly loved by his fellow angels, and I absolutely think that more than five other angels would leap to his side to defend Lilith and fight back against their father.
The other fallen angel names mentioned in OM - Astaroth, Dantalion, and Mephistopheles - are all greater demons, the same as the demon lords. And Barbatos of course is not only a fellow greater demon, but one with enormous power.
Diavolo’s birthday established that there are MANY greater demons spread across the Devildom, and while some are perhaps born demons like we presume Diavolo is, it’s highly likely others are ex-angels that fell with Lucifer, or who fell before or since that event. And of course, we don’t know that Diavolo’s original ancestor wasn’t a fallen angel as well...
As to what any other fallen angels might think of Lucifer, I think that’s complicated. In most demonology, the fallen angels all remain loyal to Lucifer, as either his new position as bringer of evil to the world or his maintaining his own freedom over begging for forgiveness is seen as a worthy goal.
However, in OM Lucifer achieves neither of these things. He doesn’t seem to particularly relish in causing the human world or celestial realm any evil, nor does he have his freedom - he sold that to Diavolo in return for Lilith’s rebirth in the human world.
A heavy price to pay, and one that has remained secret. What are his former allies to think, seeing their leader roll over for another realm ruler, leading his army not to glory, not to a new status, but abandoning them in favour of being Diavolo’s lapdog.
... I would guess there are a lot of fallen angels who have turned against Lucifer. The ones we’ve seen mentioned, the artist Dantalion, the student Astaroth, and the troublemaker and friend of Mammon Mephistopheles, are perhaps amongst the few who still respect Lucifer. (Respect doesn't mean no rule breaking as Mammon and Mephistopheles both prove 😂)
After all, if the rest of the Devildom is full of fallen angels, and the rest of the Devildom is also too dangerous for MC to travel into, that suggests some distinctly unhappy fallen angels in hell.

So season 2 is here and that means Ume needs a season 2 look! I’m slowly working on refining her original design and this is the part I was most excited for so I did it first!
Dotting around the pacts felt a bit weh to me, I wanted them more cohesive and I really liked the idea of having them all on her back. There’s like a lil…. reference? I guess in the design, kudos if you get it!
