World One Tower
WorldOne is a tall residential skyscraper  under construction in Mumbai. It is located in Lower Parel   on 17.5-acre site of the defunct Shrinivas Mill. It is being built at an estimated cost of over US$321 million. Construction is expected to be completed in 2018 to become the tallest building in India. it has 117 stories, and 440 meters in height. It will be the world’s tallest purely residential structure. It is ideal to meet the growing demand for luxury residences in India. It will feature swimming pools, gyms, a health club and a cricket pitch.

Features: The world's highest bridge, which rises 570 meters above a valley, opened in southwest China.  It has a height equivalent to a 200-storey building, and the Beipanjiang Bridge links southwest China’s Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. It has the rare honor to be the highest in the world, by the vertical distance from the bridge deck down, to the ground or water surface beneath the bridge span.
It has a 720-metre-wide span (2,363 feet) and is a part of the Hangrui Highway.
The structure overlooks the Beipanjiang Valley. The entire 4-lane divided highway stretches to an incredible marvel covering a distance of 3,405-kilometres on the national motorway linking Hangzhou city in southern China with Ruili city on the China-Myanmar border.
There was the use of concrete filled steel troughs which were located within the back spans trusses, to keep the deck from getting pulled up, from the downward forces, of the central span truss. The tower tops are more than 735 meters above the Beipan River surface. The original paint scheme was blue for the truss deck sections but they decided to have orange later.

USES
Concrete is used to make pavements, architectural structures, foundations, motorways, roads, and bridges, overpasses, parking structures, walls and footings for gates, fences and poles. It is most used man-made material.
HOW IT WORKS
The material grows together from a moldable liquid into a hard, rigid solid. In the world today, concrete has become a fact of modern life. 6 billion tons of concrete is used around the world each year. The addition of sand, fine aggregates and coarse aggregates of up to a few centimeters makes concrete. It is a porous material, whose properties depend on its different kinds of pore space. There are air voids that are entrapped in the mixing process, the capillary pores, which are spaces occupied by water from mixing.
Concrete has compressible strength, which is related to the overall porosity of the cement paste and the amount and form of the aggregates.

A Dragline Excavator
A Dragline Excavator is a large machine used to unearth dirt and other materials from construction sites and mining areas. It is a piece of heavy equipment. Draglines are of two categories being standard, lifting cranes, and the heavy units which have to be assembled on-site. It uses a large bucket between two towers with a wire rope which can be maneuvered and lowered to collect earth and other materials from the area. They have the capacity tomove 160 cubic yards of material in one scoop. The operators are experts who control dragline excavators at construction sites. They coordinate their activities with other construction workers on the site using hand and audio signals, to ensure safety and keep an efficient pace. They weigh 2000 metric tonnes and require routine cleaning and maintenance tasks. The larger types are put to effective use in strip-mining operations to move coal, and for tar-sand mining.

Giant sovereign-wealth funds are ready to put money and across all investor groups, more than $5 trillion a year is available to build airports, roads and ports. The challenge is to understand risk and policy uncertainties associated with potential deals. Investors are now considering the emerging markets; and are adopting a country-by-country approach to risk assessment. But identifying appropriate returns for each market they are viewing infrastructure projects by asset class, region, and stage of investment because of significant rewards.
Strategies:
There are many Greenfield assets and newly build infrastructure projects where investors are ready to take on the risk of development and construction. Moreover, there is a focus on Brownfield assets also.
