TSENG SPEAKS IN TRUTHS , and commendable as it is, these visits are growing to be rather tedious. undoubtedly, it could have been covered up. if he had intended for such to be done, it would have been. but of course, he already knows that. ‘ after all , is it not within his job description to know everything ? ’ lounging back, legs stretched across the desk before him; crossing at the calves with deliberate nonchalance, genesis finally allows his gaze to settle upon his accuser. the corner of his lips upturns, quite subtle. ( —— young he may be, one would be a fool to think tseng naive. ) red leather creaks as he snaps the book in his clutches closed, free hand rising. the words spoken go unanswered, for a moment.
“ my friend, the fates are cruel, ” he speaks, & cares not if the turk understands. palm upturned, the SOLDIER glances from tseng. his gaze wanders the room with purpose, as though the words he speaks are written across the room’s furnishings; whispering to him, in a way he’s certain tseng cannot hear. “ there are no dreams, no honour remains ... ” the meanings those words hold are plenty / are nothing. they are something genesis himself has been reflecting upon as of late. he shrugs. “ —— i digress. ”
“ i believe the perpetrator wished only for his work to be acknowledged. ” eyes fixing upon tseng with cat-like curiosity, he finishes, “ what say you ? ”
