Hey! I am a 19 year old fashion student from a small village near Berlin and Im really curious what kind of motivation drove you to start this blog (and still continue it , which is really impressing btw!). As you can tell by my age I just started studying and my task right now is to make my first own collection and this blog helps A TON to gether usefull information etc, Thanks! Also Im curious what you are up to after all those years. Would be amazing to hear back from you. best regards ssuppe
Hey there! Great to hear from you! I love when people reach to me. It was my passion to collect pictures from shows and magazines (only on internet, on real tho). Once I started I wanted to get them all an I was always curious about getting to those that are not that known. So I started digging. I was not lazy to spend hours o researching and discovering. And since I had all the materials I simply wanted to share them. I always wanted a place where I could find ALL Raf's collections in one place (mainly the ones before 2005). I did the same with King of Couture blog which was about Dior (in particular during Raf's tenure) and Helmut Lang Archive. I did these because I was drawn into the world of the creators. I am now 26, I started in 2015 so I was 21. Not it is kinda dead. Not because I would not love Raf anymore but simply because I need to focus on my studies - I study Fashion Design in Prague and I want to create fashion. My focus is knitting. I also worked at Vogue Czechoslovakia for a bit and now I am developing knitwear section of one Czech brand.
I wish I could continue my blog, but it was very very time consuming and I don't have that time now. I think there is enough there for now. And I update my Spotify playlist whenever possible. Thank you once again for your message and best of luck with your studies!!! Best, Mikulas

Raf Simons Spring-Summer 2005 Moto Sneakers
10 years after his debut into fashion, Raf Simons designed his first pairs of sneakers, for the “History Of The World” collection ; including the, now famous, velcro high tops.
The universe displayed for SS05 marked a break from the previous ones, offering a minimalist aesthetic blended with futuristic & utopian inspiration.
Clean lines, velcro straps, monochromatic : everything leading to this “astronaut” look.
