Then his career stalled for a while and now he's doing other things / lol what? He was always a supporting character without much screen time, therefore he had time to film his indies every year, MCU wasn't keeping him from it. It's just that these indies were mostly bad. The moment he changed agencies he started getting better indies' scripts.
