anyone else incapable of editing custom themes?? is this a new tumblr update i missed on my last streak of having a balanced life aka not logging in here
#i've got the dashboard unfucker so maybe that's the issue?#really annoying though#editing aside it's my favourite way to waste some time on my screens kjdhbkjh#doing some tag filters for the sideblog really hits the autistic spot#but unfortunately i try to update it and nothing changes#i can add in code from someone but any attempts to edit it just don't show up

took me 7 hours. preparation notes said it would take 1
got a lab at 10am tomorrow, it's 4pm now, haven't started the preparation and i don't have the energy to panic about it
#i just emailed it to my professor and was tempted to say something about that but did not :( not going to do anything for me#i haven't checked the last question it's just some numbers and i don't think i've given him what he asked for#not to vent or anything but i feel like i'm dying rn#in all ways#i am so tired and so sad#zero relief that it's done because i did a shit job#it's so frustrating that i know i am fully capable of understanding this stuff#but the lab notes from this stupid university consistently make things more complicated than they need to be#and i really need clarification what with the autism and all that#he's like 'use the debye length to find double layer capacitance' etc etc and doesn't give any indication of#what the relative permittivity could be#or how to determine it because there was no info on electrode material or anything else#and it's happened before that i'll spend hours crying over lab preparation when i'm sure there's something wrong#only for the professor to say 'oh yeah you were just meant to assume this'#and i don't mean mathematical assumptions i mean 'i left out a piece of text or instruction and you were just supposed to know'#no???? i am going to take what the words on the paper tell me#sorry. going to bed now#if this continues i might need to defer a year honestly#absolute bullshit degree hate it here

i have become so dramatic in the last 48 hours, someone just has to talk at normal volume downstairs and i'm grabbing my loop earplugs on quiet mode + new dsa-granted headphones & activating noise cancelling
#it's an effective combination#will this make my sensory issues worse in the long run... probably#but what it's preventing is so much worse than that outcome so i'm pretty happy#zero pounds spent as well#if i can still hear a tiny bit of noise then some muffled sleep t/oken in the background does the trick

#did i bring this upon myself ... yeah#but also does the preparation document say '1 hour' so i thought it would be easy? yes#we are 2 hours in. done 3 questions#out of idk how many but too many#problem is at this level there's no help online#anyone got qualifications in biosensors#help#havent done electrochem since a-level and now we're thrown in the deep end with zero catchup on that#and i'm deep in the worst mood i've been in for months#i can't talk and i don't know why#all i want to do right now is go for a walk in the dark and listen to some songs then maybe fade away into nothing idk sjdbckjh
