Intellectual giftedness is such a stupid phrase/name in English...
I'm not smart, my brain is just so fast it stumbles over his own feet, tumbles down a slope of jagged rocks, slams at its end in a wall covered in spikes, climbes up those spikes, tumbles over the edge, falls in a pit with poisonous mushrooms and then runs back up the hill because it wasn't _perfect_ enough... WHAT'S THE GIFT ABOUT THIS SHIT???
Besides... The "symptoms" are so similar to adhd/add that a lot of people get misdiagnosed! In each direction! Which leads to more problems, but noooo why should teachers get at least informed about it.
Actual quote from my teacher: "I don't know what intellectual giftedness is but _____ is not it" what are you even supposed to say to that....
