“It of course makes eminent sense that the earliest depiction of divine power in human form should have been female rather than male. When our ancestors began to ask the eternal questions (Where do we come from before we are born? Where do we go after we die?), they must have noted that life emerges from the body of a woman. It would have been natural for them to image the universe as an all-giving Mother from whose womb all life emerges and to which, like the cycles of vegetation, it returns after death to be again reborn.”
Excerpt from: "The Chalice and the Blade: Our History, Our Future---Updated With a New Epilogue" by Riane Eisler.

“Most new-age types will say that we all carry within us male and female energy but I am going to say it right now : there is no female that has male energy and there is no male that has female energy. We are completely different beings.
The idea that feminine energy is passive, nurturing, accepting, allowing and intuitive while male energy is active, individualistic, antagonistic and resistant is spiritually castrating to women. When a woman views her action, her power, her dynamism as a “male” archetype within her, she on some level is denying her own power, potential, and ultimately ability to break free from the male supremacist matrix she’s been born into. After all, the patriarch is living within her. This is a dead-end for feminists looking to reclaim their spirituality.” x

“Dianics spiritually reclaim the Goddess exclusively, as the Source of Life, and to whom all will return in death. Religious rituals, approach to the practice of magick, our liturgy, imagery, and personal perception lies outside of a male/female or Goddess/God dualism within the self or our practices. Languaging and primary reference for life is female. For many Dianics, the Goddess is not an entity but the Web of Life itself. We use female imagery as a metaphor to speak of this. That means when we address the Goddess, we are addressing the whole web and acknowledging our part in the web at the same time. We do not pray, in the usual sense; rather we focus our conscious awareness on the web. We invoke Her, aligning our personal will with the energies we call to conscious awareness within and without. When we do magic, we try to focus our awareness and will on particular strands in the Web.”

Our ability to literally create life is the reason why men have oppressed us. They want this power they will never ever have. If women were to stop believing this is a bad thing “because it reduces us to child labor” and start believing this innate power is what should lead societies, we would be farther in our goal of liberation.
Men decided that our ability to create life should leave us barefoot and pregnant while we serve our husbands and women now think this ability is offensive. It’s the exact opposite. It’s liberating to know and feel this power inside of you. Even if you choose not to have kids or have organs that don’t function optimally, women still have this raw and real divinity running through every cell in our bodies. If we would access this instead of shame it, we could harness it for amazing things.
And no matter what men say or do, they could never ever match it. Or use it against us. We would own it and the world.

“How is a heart labelled ‘weak’ when it pumps life through starved veins? How is a skeleton labelled ‘frail’ when it is the frame that holds us in place? How are women labelled ‘delicate’ when they endure a variety of suffering, giving birth to the very people who deem them as feeble? When did violence, brutality, and coarseness become synonymous with strength?”
— Noor Shirazie

i think it's our responsibility as women in this year of 2021 to collectively bring back dancing around fire pits under the moonlight with our tits out, singing chants to the old goddesses.
