i really understand that a lot of canon fix-its write Cas as becoming human again as an extension of his arc, falling so-to-say completely for Dean and being a part of the human creation he learned to adore but man, I loved when Cas just did weird angel stuff.
I loved when he could smell sickness on someone, when cars felt claustrophobic for him because of his wings, when he could drink an entire liquor store, when Dean made him lift heavy shit he couldn't move, ran to hell just to -try- to get Sam out of the cage.
He is an ancient cosmic being and I want Dean to love that about him too.
