What type of mother do you think Hela from the movie would be? Keep in mind she's more cold, brusque, etc.
I’m not sure if you meant for this to be a drabble, so if that’s something you want, please let me know, because this is honestly just some character study, in this answer.
First and foremost, I think it highly depends on the scenario in which she... has a child? If that makes sense.
For example, say it was an arranged marriage that Odin set up to kind of get Hela to settle down in lieu of banishing her to Hel, then I think she would be rather reluctant to have a child, if only because she knows the child would really only be born to serve a purpose, as an heir, and not out of any real love or want for a child. In this case, I feel she would be more of a begrudging mother. She’d do the necessary work, and would raise the child to the best of her abilities, but I don’t know that there would be any real love like you or I might raise a child with. I don’t think she would be quite as distant or careless as Odin seemed to be with her, but nor do I think she would be overly affectionate or soft with them.
Now, if it were a scenario in which she were to be a queen and were to find a consort of her own free will as she deems necessary, I think she would be much more willing and amicable to the idea of having a child, which in turn would lead to her being a little gentler with the child.
In both cases, I do want to make it clear that she would make it a point to not be how her father was with her, in the sense that I believe she wouldn’t be as willing to make her own child exist solely as a weapon or solely as one thing specifically, and would make much more of an effort to let the child do what the child wants to do, so long as it’s practical. That’s not to say she wouldn’t be perhaps a little more proud of her child does decide to have a career in battle as she did, because I think Hela would definitely be proud of a child that follows in her footsteps, as Hela just tends to be a bit on the prideful side.
(this is venturing into headcanon moreso than anything really based in canon, so bear with me)
I also think Hela would make it a point to be more present than her father was with her. She would be much more supportive, and would actively try to form some sort of bond with her child, but definitely not anything that would be considered overly soft, or perhaps really even distinctly motherly. I can almost see Hela sort of detaching herself, to some degree, from her child, which might stem from her own experience with detaching herself from friends, family, and acquaintances in order to become a better soldier, simply because that’s just how she’s used to being. In fact, I might go so far as to say that mothering might actually make her a little softer and a little more receptive to the wants and needs of others.
But, in short: she wouldn’t be a soft, gentle mother, but nor would she be an altogether bad or begrudging mother.

Odin is the True Villain of the Thor movies
1.Goes on a blood soaked conquest of a the Nine Realms early in his reign, raises his first born daughter to be the perfect weapon, and then suddenly decides “Nah, fuck it I’m bored”. When his daughter understandably is confused by this and doesn’t know how else to react, Odin decides instead of teaching her a new way, he instead tosses her in a magic prison to inevitably fuck over everyone in the future with his naturally upset daughter
2.Raises Thor as a complete dick in the first place then banishes him and then pretends to have planned the entire humility thing with Mjolnir once Thor returns a better man
3.Constantly shitting on his adopted son Loki by playing favorites with Thor. Why the fuck even bring him home then? Just pawn him off on another family.
4.Let’s make this vault filled with incredibly dangerous artifacts really easy to enter with next to no security

Severus snape x Slytherin!reader II
A/N: Here’s the second version of this request, I wanted to do something a little more in line with the other house post I’ve done. Next work will be up soon so stay tuned! I hope you enjoy! <3

The student knows him well from the beginning cause he’s the head of their house
He takes a liking to the student because of how they’re not remotely nervous around him
Sometimes they’re even cocky in his classes
He thinks they’re a smug little idiot (but in a strangely lovable way)
He teases them whenever they give even the slightest blind privilege rant (if they’re pureblooded and rich, if not then he will def. make fun of his students that are)
“Why are you so upset? You don’t even c o m p r e h e n d how lucky you are that you have daddy’s money, some people are poor, y/n!”

He adores the student tho, like really truly ADORES them
They’re his favourite person at Hogwarts
He secretly gets all happy when he sees them in the corridors and in the common room
He waits for them to walk into class and gets so worried if they’re late
THEY ARE IN A CONSTANT COMPETITION TO BEST EACH OTHER BECAUSE THEY’RE SLYTHERINS DAMMIT AND THEY. WILL. BE. THE. BEST!
It’s all in good fun of course but they do spend a lot of time brewing potions and shooting random knowledge at each other
The student tries so hard to best Severus at making potions and goes all out by attempting to make some extremely difficult potion
Severus finds it absolutely adorable
They rarely beat him in potion-making but when they complete a potion and it’s perfect they will get so cocky and he pretends to be annoyed but he loves seeing them flouncing around the empty potions classroom, doing a victory dance.
He gives kisses as rewards for doing a potion perfectly
They have their own little code language, in terms of body language, words and somehow they’ve even taught themselves morse code. Why? Because it’s cunning and they like to think they’re all smug about their love for each other.
Unfortunately, the other students are also cunning, and definitely know something’s up but they don’t mind really.
If the student is upset about something you best believe Snape will pull a Dwight from the office
“Who did this to you?” Immediately followed by: “Do you need me to kill them?”
He doesn’t but if another student upsets them that student might “Accidentally” mess up their potion while they’re not looking, earning themselves detention for a month.
Snape is very protective and the student loves it
The student takes him to the yule ball, they don’t show it and they don’t arrive together but they know. And the secret language comes in handy.
Ya best hope no-one flirts with the student because Snape will magically appear out of nowhere needing to speak to the student about something urgent
“Did they bother you? do you need me to tell them off?”
He takes the student home on the Christmas holidays and spends it with them because they’re the only person that makes him want to celebrate Christmas.

Words to Describe Someone's Voice
I went scouting through the internet for words to describe a character’s voice. Here’s a handy list for all you writers:
Adenoidal/Nasal - Some of the sound seems to come through the nose.
Appealing - Shows that you want help, approval, or agreement.
Breathy - With loud breathing noises.
Brittle - You sound as if you are about to cry.
Croaky - Sounds as if they have a sore throat.
Dead - They feel or show no emotion.
Disembodied - Voice comes from someone who you cannot see.
Flat - Spoken in a voice that does not go up and down.
Fruity - Deep and strong in a pleasant way.
Grating - Unpleasant and annoying.
Gravelly - Low and rough.
Gruff - Has a rough low sound.
Guttural - Deep and made at the back of your throat.
High-Pitched - Very high and shrill.
Hoarse - Low rough voice, usually because their throat is sore.
Honeyed - Falsely sweet voice.
Husky - A husky voice is deep and sounds hoarse often in an attractive way.
Low - Quiet and difficult to hear / in a deep voice.
Matter-of-fact - Used about someone’s behavior or voice.
Modulated - Controlled and pleasant to listen to.
Monotonous - Boring because it does not change in loudness or become higher or lower.
Orotund - Loud and clear.
Penetrating - So high or loud that it makes you uncomfortable.
Plummy - This word shows that you dislike people who speak like this.
Quietly - In a quiet voice.
Raucous - Loud and sounds rough.
Ringing - very loud and clear.
Rough - Not soft and is unpleasant to listen to.
Shrill - Very loud, high, and unpleasant.
Silvery - Clear, light, and pleasant.
Singsong - Rises and falls in a musical way.
Small - A small voice or sound is quiet.
Smoky - Sexually attractive in a slightly mysterious way.
Softly Spoken - A quiet gentle voice.
Sotto Voce - A very quiet voice.
Stentorian - Loud and severe.
Strangulated - One that someone stops before they finish making it.
Strident - Loud and unpleasant.
Taut - Shows someone is nervous or angry.
Thick - Voice sounds less clear because of an emotion.
Thin - High and unpleasant to listen to.
Throaty - Low and seems to come from deep in your throat.
Tight - Shows that you are nervous or annoyed.
Toneless - Does not express any emotion.
Tremulous - It is not steady because you are afraid or excited.
Wheezy - Has difficulty breathing.
Wobbly - Unstable tone due to fright or emotions.

Headcanons based on my research of Medieval Kingdoms P.1
Link’s family were not necessarily ‘peasants’, but were part of the gentry class of Hylians. His maternal uncle and little cousin lived in Mabe Village and had grown food near a ranch close by. His father lived there when he was young and Link was also born there. However, Links’s mother passed away a long time ago.
During the chronological time when Link was 17, he had lived and worked in the castle so as to be with Zelda, while his father was stationed at the Akkala Citadel. His father was the first man in their family to be knighted, let alone become a member of the Royal Guard. This happened before Link was born, of course.
In Hyrulean culture, cowardice is a sign of weakness. In order to become a knight, one must show “unflinching bravery and skill in the face of darkness and adversity”. Links father had proven himself knight-worthy after selflessly defending his home village from monsters. Later in true Castle tradition, he had beaten the Hinox in the Castle Lockup to be made a member of the Royal Guard.
Unlike the many, many fics I’ve read, Link loved his father and vice versa. He chose to follow in his footsteps and loved being a knight. His family was very proud, and he considered it an honor to protect his people and his kingdom.
Unlike other knights-in-training, Link had first picked up a sword since before he even learned to walk. He liked helping his uncle and cousin with their farm, leading to his exceptional strength. Also, his father along with other knights often did missionary work in far away villages and settlements, so Link would usually come with him to help.
This would lead to Link learning all sorts of different battle strategies and moves while he traveled the land meeting different cultures and people, upping his skill level. One instance is when he stayed at Zora’s Doman when he was four years old, and taught young Zora how to fight and also learned their methods of battle as well.
Link had an advantage in training and learning fighting techniques, which helped with improving his skill and muscle at a young age. Of course this spiked jealousy in young men who were still learning lesser skills. Also, with news of Link’s progressives in combat spread throughout Hyrule, Link ultimately became the go to “ladies man”.
It is canon that Link was not only an impressively young knight, but was the youngest knight to be made a member of the Royal Guard. Link had lots of good friends when he was first training, but the older men of the Guard were skeptical of his abilities.
Of course this is not a matter of believing Link is just “overrated”, but it comes from jealousy. The other knights know how skilled he is from witnessing his trials in combat first hand, and he was constantly praised for his bravery. However, kinder knights would congratulate Link on his courage.
The negative gossip, however, only worsened when Link was appointed as Zelda’s personal knight and the Captain of her guard. Fortunately though, this would help with Link and Zelda’s bonding later on, as the two both are plagued with cruel words spoken about them behind their backs.
After my own exploration of Hyrule Castle, the Knight’s bedrooms are nowhere to be found. Signifying that they are blocked off by rubble. Like I said before, Link lived in the castle so he could more easily guard Zelda.
So I headcanon that the regular knights slept in one big bunkroom in a lower portion of the castle, as well as in the wall around castle town. The members of the Royal Guard had their own rooms closer to where the King and Princess slept, ate, and lounged. They were also permitted to use the hallways designated for the Royal Family.
The Royal Guard however, may not have gotten as much sleep as normal, because they had to guard the King and Princess at all hours. They rotated through shifts, and Link would usually stay on the top of Zelda’s room at night, or on the bridge to her study. (Not that Zelda would sleep much either because she likes to stay up and learn stuff lmao)

JOURNEY OF KEY CHARACTERS DURING THE CALAMITY

Some notes from the book:
Daruk's plan where Link will confront Calamity Ganon was described as "desperate." Also, the way the Beasts were positioned made it impossible for each Champion to see what was happening in Central Hyrule as they were rushing towards them.
The blights already took over the Beasts by the time each Champion arrived there. So the blights were ready to fight, the Champions were not.
Link and Zelda's escape plan was to go to Kakariko Village. They used the forests for cover and guided remaining survivors along the way. The defense of Fort Hateno was primarily Link & Zelda + some survivors + some of the soldiers stationed there.
The immense number of Guardians sent to pursue Link and Zelda shows much of a threat Ganon considered the Hero.
Akkala Citadel is the last stand of Hyrule and where the kingdom was extinguished. The Citadel's primary function was to repel invaders from the sea, but the guardians came from Central Hyrule, which they weren't prepared for.
Fort Hateno is considered a miracle. It wasn't well-equipped like the Akkala Citadel so it was most likely a checkpoint. During the Calamity, defense there just consisted of people shooting arrows from the top of the wall. Fort Hateno hasn't been restored because those skilled in stonemasonry had been wiped out, along with the knowledge of how to repair stone buildings. People of the region also lack funds to rebuild.
