Morning Fun with the Patriarch
Pairing: Majima Goro x Kiryu Kazuma
Fandom:  Yakuza – Ryu ga Gotoku
Summary:  Majima kisses Kiryu before going to work, but one thing leads to another and they end up staying in bed
Rating:  18+, smut
Count:  2,531
Warnings:  anal sex, anal fingering, rimming, oral sex, face fucking
Kiryu was fast asleep as the bed underneath him shifted from the weight being moved around.  The sheets moved against his bare skin, exposing his muscular upper chest.  He opened one of his eyes as the light hit his face from the morning sun pouring in through the window.
Majima was sitting up in bed and stretching his arms wide and high, releasing the grip of sleep from the night before.  Kiryu opened his other eye to get a good look at Majima.  His arms were stretched over his head as his muscles moved beneath his firm skin.  His hanya tattoo stared back at him with wide eyes, shifting along with Majima’s movements.
Majima turned and looked down at Kiryu, who still lay with his head on the pillow.  Kiryu looked up at Majima and reached out to touch his arm.  Majima smiled at Kiryu with bright and glossy eyes.  The two held each other’s gaze as Majima leaned forward and closed the distance between them.  He darted his tongue out to wet his lips as he grazed Kiryu’s mouth. Kiryu closed his eyes and reached a hand behind Majima’s head.  He could feel the beginnings of a knot tightening in his core.  He placed his lips firmly against Majima’s, causing him to breathe in heavily with anticipation.
Kiryu took the opportunity to deepen the kiss, both tongues beginning to intertwine with their combined essence.  Majima grabbed Kiryu by the hips and pushed him flat on the bed and straddled him.  He released himself from the kiss and looked down at Kiryu, whose eyes were glowing with eagerness.
“Ya know Kiryu-chan, I’m suppose ta be goin’ to work right now, but there ya go making me fuckin’ crazy.”
Kiryu began to fidget slightly at his words, knowing what was coming next as he took deep breaths.  He could feel his dick begin to harden underneath Majima’s hips.  Majima ducked down and began to kiss Kiryu again with sloppy movements.  Kiryu groaned into his mouth and tangled his fingers into Majima’s hair giving it a quick tug.  Majima grunted and moved to suck on Kiryu’s neck, twisting and slurping his tongue on his pulse point.  He gave his neck a soft bite as Kiryu began to thrust his hips up into Majima’s crotch.
The feeling of their skin moving against each other created a spark of electricity that ran through Kiryu’s body.  His palms were beginning to sweat, and his mind was completely taken over by Majima’s ministrations.  Majima moved down to Kiryu’s chest as he gave his right nipple a light bite as he twisted the other between his fingers.  Kiryu’s heart began to pound as he bit his lip. Majima continued to lick down the lines of his abs, enjoying the slight tang of skin, making his way to the place where Kiryu wanted him most.
Majima looked at Kiryu’s now hard cock.  His dick was standing at attention, wanting and waiting for some sort of care from Majima.  Majima leaned in and licked a stripe from the base of Kiryu’s firm dick to the tip of his head.  Kiryu’s mouth fell open as he tipped his head back into the bed with a soft thud as Majima began to swirl the tip of Kiryu’s head with his warm and wet tongue, savoring the taste of Kiryu’s precum that was beaded on the tip of his aching head.   He closed his mouth over the tip and released with a light ‘pop’.  Kiryu gripped the sheets tightly as his breathing became more labored.
“Fuck Kiryu-chan, ya taste delicious.  I’mma make sure ya feel so good that we’ll both want to stay in bed.”
Majima then took hold of Kiryu’s cock and slid his engorged shaft all the way into his throat.  Kiryu’s hands shot to the back of Majima’s head as he cried out his pleasure into the room.  His deep voice filled with the unbridled joy of having his hard dick encased deep in Majima’s wet and tight mouth.  Kiryu began to push slowly in and out of Majima’s mouth, enjoying the feel of Majima’s tongue on the underside of his dick, moving and twirling on his stiff manhood.
His breath quickened as he began to pick up the pace, the tip of his head hitting the back of Majima’s throat.  Majima hummed his satisfaction, creating vibrations that intensified the feeling of sliding in and out of Majima’s slick mouth.  Kiryu was building up speed with each shock of excitement that was sent to his dick being worshipped and lapped by his lover.
With each passing second, his hips smacked harder against Majima’s face. He was soon slamming his dick into Majima’s waiting mouth as Majima gripped Kiryu’s hips in an effort to keep taking his vigorous onslaught.  Kiryu’s moans and heavy breathing were music to Majima’s ears as Majima kept moving and swallowing the mixture of precum and saliva that pooled in his mouth with each pump of Kiryu’s powerful hips.
Kiryu could feel the coil almost fully tighten, indicating that he was close to his rapid release.  The tip of his dick was slamming past the back of Majima’s throat and into his neck, causing Majima’s name to become a whispered prayer on Kiryu’s lips as he continued to propel his hips forward violently.
Majima’s neck was creating a tighter cavern to draw out his lust. Each time his cock entered Majima’s mouth fully, the tip was encased by the tight muscles in his neck.  His thrusts were becoming messy and stronger as he closed in on the high of having his dick in the patriarch’s mouth.  His balls slapped against Majima’s chin as he gave his hips a few more heavy slams before pulling Majima’s face flush with his hips as his hot cum poured down Majima’s throat.
“FUCK, FUUCK!!” Kiryu screamed as goosebumps broke out over his tightening skin, his eyes closed, and head thrown back in pure ecstasy.  A sheen of sweat covered Kiryu’s body as he struggled to contain his heavy breaths, his muscles glistening in the aftermath of his release. Majima pulled away from Kiryu with a loud slurp, saliva connecting him and Kiryu’s girthy length.  Kiryu put a hand over his eyes, feeling his body sinking deeper into a sleepy postcoital state.
Majima looked at Kiryu’s half-hard cock and gave it a wet kiss with his tongue on the back of the head.  Kiryu gasped and cursed at his overly sensitive member being teased.  Majima ran his tongue around the base as he fondled and cupped his balls.  He licked sensually, making his way down to Kiryu’s tight ass.
Majima could smell Kiryu’s scent, the scent of man.  He ran his hands on the underside of Kiryu’s thighs, before reaching the back of his knees.  He pushed up his legs towards his chest, exposing his wrinkled hole.  Majima licked his lips in delight as he neared twitching hole and gave it a light kiss.  Kiryu’s hole winked back at him, enticing him to continue.  Using the flat of his tongue, he covered the puckered hole and began to suck, tasting Kiryu’s skin.  Kiryu cried out as he reached his hands down to cover Majima’s that were supporting his legs to his chest.  Kiryu gripped tightly as he shyly bucked his pliant and excited hole closer to Majima’s mouth. Kiryu could feel his desire beginning to burn as Majima continued to caress and curl his tongue into his forbidden entry.  Majima’s now hard cock was leaking precum onto the bed, as he thrust into the covers seeking the invisible grip of the hole he was now devouring.  Kiryu was panting as Majima’s tongue delved deeper into his tight ring of muscles, exploring inside of his clenching walls.
Majima groaned and gripped Kiryu’s leg tighter as he continued to taste, spreading saliva around the edge and inside of his back entrance.  He could feel the shivering and contracting of Kiryu’s walls around his tongue.  The muscles seized and pulsed, surrounding his tongue in a warm vice grip.  Majima stroked his tongue inside of his lover, searching for the sweet spot of maximum ecstasy.  His tongue found the little nub inside and began to rub and graze harshly as Kiryu’s moans spilled from his open and gasping mouth.
Majima removed his hands from Kiryu’s legs, leaving Kiryu to hold his legs apart for him.  Grabbing the lube, he poured the liquid onto his middle finger and teased the succulent hole, dipping inside.  Kiryu’s muscles quivered around his finger as Majima continued to push deeper inside of him until his finger was in all the way.  He slowly pulled out and then pushed back in, creating a rhythm, leisurely pumping in and out as the tight ring of muscles attempted to fight the intrusion.  Majima then placed his pointer finger against the hole and pressed inside to join his other finger.  Both of them now stroking in unison against Kiryu’s prostate.
“How do ya feel Kiryu-chan?” Majima said.
“All right, I guess.”  Kiryu replied, but his body signals were betraying him.  It was more than all right, it was sublime.  All Kiryu could think about was how Majima was touching his constricted hole, how good it felt and how he did not want him to stop.
“Just, all right? Hmm, looks like I need to do a better job then.” Majima said with a smirk.
Kiryu turned his head to the side into the pillow, struggling to maintain even breaths.  Majima began to scissor his fingers, slowly opening him up for his much thicker cock. Majima could see inside of Kiryu’s hole, looking at the muscles that would soon be surrounding his throbbing dick that was in much need of attention.  He pulled his fingers out all the way, hitting the cool of air in the room.  He once again grabbed the remaining lube and generously emptied the bottle onto his red and aching rod.  He spread the lube around and grabbed hold of his member, lining it up with Kiryu’s warm and eager hole.  Kiryu looked down between them, waiting desperately for Majima to take him. Majima pressed the tip of his dick into Kiryu, the tight heat pulsing around his head.  Majima shuddered and closed his eyes.  Pushing in slowly, an inch or two at a time, he rocked himself slowly inside of the clenching hole.  Kiryu’s body broke out in a blush as he covered his face with his forearm, attempting to hide how good he felt as the patriarch continued to massage his way deeper and deeper inside of him.  Majima gave a gentle prod and filled him up to the hilt.  Kiryu’s ass was flush against his hips, all of his dick being sucked in by Kiryu’s fluttering walls.  Majima closed his eyes and threw his head back, his hands gripping Kiryu’s hips tightly as he groaned.  He pulled back his hips until just his head was left inside, then drove back in sharply.  He could feel the ring of muscles sucking him in and clenching him tighter, betraying Kiryu’s shy state.  He wanted more.
He began a slow pace of thrusting in and out, the sound of the wet lube was accompanied by shallow pants and moans from both men.  Majima reached up and grabbed Kiryu’s forearm.
“Look at me Kiryu.” Majima whispered.
Kiryu turned his head from the pillow to look into Majima’s eyes. Majima continued to thrust as he spoke slowly.
“Ya make me so fuckin’ crazy Kiryu, everything ya do and say makes me want ya all the more.  I love everything about ya.”  They both continued to look into each other eyes, panting and covered in sweat, both bodies moving in unison to the movement of Majima’s hips.  Kiryu’s gaze turned serious and shy.
“Majima, I-I love you.” Kiryu began to blush fiercely, a shade of crimson covering his entire face.  He couldn’t believe that he finally said it.  After so many times making love, he had never gathered the courage to say it. Majima stopped mid-thrust and looked at Kiryu with a big goofy grin.
“I love ya too Kiryu-chan!  I love ya!” Majima leaned forward onto his elbows to kiss Kiryu as he began to move faster.  Majima stooped down to suck and lick at Kiryu’s neck as Kiryu grasped at Majima’s back.  Kiryu dug his fingers into Majima’s back as each thrust reached deeper than before, Majima now pounding him into the mattress below.  The slow lovemaking now turned into ravenous slamming.  Majima quickly pulled out and pulled back so he was on his knees.  Kiryu was panting and looked quizzically at Majima.
“Turn around and get on your hands and knees for me, Kiryu.”
Kiryu quickly turned around and could feel Majima lining himself against his decadent entrance.  Majima plunged his hard cock into Kiryu and began to pump in and out at breakneck speed. Kiryu cried out and lowered his head to the mattress, his ass and hips being held up by Majima’s strong hands as he continued his voracious assault on his trembling hole.  The bed was rocking back and forth from Majima’s thrashing, the bedframe cracking against the wall loudly with each quick and powerful ram of hips.  The sound of wet skin slapping against skin filled the room, the sound of their cries and moans as they both neared closer to their climax twisted and caressed their senses.  Majima was now pummeling into Kiryu’s juicy ass, his hands digging into his hips would surely leave bruises after they were done.  But neither of them cared.  Both of them were too caught up in the desire of taking and being taken.
Kiryu’s hole was being stretched by Majima’s length as it attempted to squeeze and tighten around the pleasing invasion.  Majima was now pummeling into his ass, his only thoughts on the pleasure he was receiving from being so deep and surrounded by Kiryu’s hot constricted hole. Kiryu was a hot mess, the continuous feeling of having his prostrate pressed by Majima’s hard rod had blanked out his mind.  He was filled with ultimate bliss as he leaked continuous precum onto the mattress, his dick hard and pulsing, veins visible on the surface as his dick attempted to get harder still.
Majima could feel his balls begin to tighten, his thrusts now sloppy and quick, impaling Kiryu’s quivering hole onto his rigid member.  He reached around to grab Kiryu’s strong and taut dick and gave it a few quick pumps, sending Kiryu into another state of pure satisfaction and he came hard onto the sheets below.  Kiryu bore down onto Majima’s dick, tightening the hold he had on Majima’s cock inside of him.  Majima gave a few more driving lunges into the now pulsing hole as he came, covering Kiryu’s insides with his white hot cum.  A couple more languid pumps and he fell over on top of Kiryu.  Both men were covered in sweat, breathing heavy from the intensity of their stimulating frenzy.  They both lay there catching their breath, Majima laying on top of Kiryu.
“Hey Kiryu.”
“Yeah.”
“I love ya.”  Kiryu smiled.
“I love you too.”

Chapter 6: Baptism in Fire
“Jacques, I think we must retire our conversation for another time.  It appears that we have an uninvited guest.”  William said as he turned towards the door with a smirk, both vampires anticipating that the game of cat and mouse was surely about to begin.
Outside of the cobbler shop, Napoleon and Theo could feel the change in the atmosphere.  A premonition common amongst vampire kin.  Their hair stood on end as they sensed trouble brewing in the apartment upstairs.  The wind was picking up, the air becoming a wailing weapon biting at their skin. Napoleon could see the silhouette of a man jump up in panic as another shadow came into view.  He grimaced his face at this new revelation.
“Surely they found Arthur out.” He thought to himself.  Napoleon tugged the front of his coat as he quickly crossed the street and entered the front door, his coat moving with the gust. Theo on the other hand was already inside the back of the building.  The moment he sensed the tension, he rushed into the dark structure and was making his way up the wooden stairs.  Each step he could feel his body being rushed with the adrenaline of an incoming fight. He reached the top of the stairs and rounded the corner to see Arthur bursting through the old door into the room where Jacques was.
Arthur could feel the cool air of the room hit his skin as he entered.  He stood in a protective stance as he looked at Jacques and William.
“What the fuck?  Who do ya think you are, coming into my place without asking!!” Jacques screamed.  Spit was flying from his mouth in anger as his nostrils flared.  William on the other hand was collectively cool as he walked towards the back of the room.
Arthur glared at William, furrowing his eyebrows in distain.
“Why did you do all this William?  What could be worth all of this?” He asked, ignoring Jacques outburst.
William turned his head to look straight at Arthur, ignoring Theo’s rapid entrance to the room.  He held his hands loosely behind himself as he tilted his head back, teasing Arthur.
“You and your works are too simple to understand the genius that is contained in a mind like mine. The world needs to know true art and there is no greater art that moves the soul than a tragedy.  Just imagine it, an immortal like Comte losing his precious mortal that he has chosen to love for a fraction of his lifetime. This will be an extraordinary story for the ages.  She will be immortalized on my stage, joining Comte in eternity.”  He smiled at Arthur, looking at his horrified face with a secret confidence.
“You fools will never stop me; I will taste of death but once.”, he whispered quietly.
Theo took a step towards William.
“Fuck you, you sick bastard!” Theo’s spit his words with rage as he clenched his shaking hands. William could sense Napoleon approaching and knew he had to make his move.  Jacques was not all too pleased to have more strangers in his dirty hovel.
“Y’ALL NEED TO GET THE FUCK OUT!!”
Arthur, Theo, and Napoleon all looked towards Jacques.  William looked on with an evil smile.
He turned to the window and dashed through the frame, ejecting glass in all directions.  When Arthur, Theo, and Napoleon all turned to look at Jacques, he had unintentionally given William a diversion. They heard glass crashing everywhere as the window at the far side of the room was left shattered.
William landed on the cold ground with one leg kneeling as he braced himself with his hands.  He dared not look back at the window, for he knew he only had a few precious seconds to spare.  He rushed into the frigid night of Paris, heading straight for the mansion of ever-lasting monsters.
Jacques yelled at the broken window in anger.
“Ya still owe me a painting ya dirty English bastard and the rest of ya NEED TO GET THE FUCK OUT!!” Jacques screamed, spit building up in the corners of his mouth.  His face was red as his anger kept rising.
Theo rushed over to the window to see William heading towards the alley where they were in not even five minutes ago.
“He’s getting away!” He looked back at Arthur and Napoleon; anger written all over his face.
Jacques took the opportunity and dashed towards the door, but Arthur blocked his escape, sweeping his feet out from under his body and slamming him into the ground.  Arthur looked at the other two vampires.
“Both of you head after William, I’ll take care of Jacques.  Hurry!”
Napoleon and Theo jumped from the second story window and began their chase across the street into the alley.  Jacques looked at the window in disbelief at the events that were taking place around him.
Arthur took hold of Jacques’ arm and spun him around as he put him in a choke hold.  Jacques began to thrash around as he attempted to escape his vice like grip.  Arthur pressed his forearm against the veins in his neck, stopping blood flow to his head. After a couple seconds, Jacques actions began to slow, until they came to a complete stop.  With his consciousness gone, Arthur dropped him back to the floor and began to look around the room for something to tie him up.  His eyes landed on a set of shoes.  He quickly took off the laces and began to bind his hands and feet and gag his mouth with an old sock.  With Jacques unconscious and hogtied, Arthur threw his limp body onto his shoulder and began his solo trek back to the mansion.
Theo and Napoleon, on the other hand, were having less luck.  They had followed William’s shadow into the alley across the street of Jacques’ house, but they were losing the battle of wits against William.  The dark alley shadows played tricks on their minds as Theo and Napoleon sought glimpses of William.  He had led them down many side streets and alleys until they were chasing the various sounds of the wind and drunkards making their way home in the night.  Time was ticking away, and William had used his crafty nature and the heavy gales to his advantage.  He watched them from a dark alcove, listening in on their next strategy.  Napoleon and Theo were sweating profusely from the chase and had paused to catch their breath.  Theo looked at Napoleon erratically, his temperament getting the best of him as his ears pounded.
“This is ridiculous, he’s disappeared into the night.  If I had immediately jumped out of that window, I could have caught him-”
Napoleon stopped Theo in his tracks.
“That’s not true Theo, neither of us could have anticipated any of this.”  The wind howled in the dark cold night, whipping around the two vampires standing in the empty dirt alley way.  They had lost track of William, who’s cunning would be hard to match. Napoleon looked up at the night sky.
“We have to get back to the mansion and let them know what happened.  We can’t afford to waste anymore time.”  The two vampires bolted at top speed, heading back to the mansion to warn the others of William’s escape.
At the mansion, Arthur had just arrived with Jacques still in tow.  Upon entering the mansion, Jacques began to regain consciousness.  He attempted to squirm out of Arthur’s grasp, but not before he unceremoniously plopped him down on the ground in front of Leonardo.  Any chance of escape was now impossible. The two vampires looked on, surrounding Jacques as they observe him trying to muffle out an excuse, or maybe a plea. Neither of them could tell with his mouth gagged.  Leonardo looked at Arthur.
“What else did you find? Any information on William?”
Arthur sighed as he opened his mouth to speak.
“William and Jacques were together when we found them, only William escaped.  Theo and Napoleon went after him.  Hopefully they will be back soon.”  Leonardo furrowed his eyebrows at Arthur’s words.
“He escaped?  How could you let him escape?!”  Leonardo shook his head side to side as his anger began to rise. He knelt down in front of Jacques and removed the sock from his mouth.  Leonardo looked at Jacques with dull golden eyes and let out a frustrated sigh.
“Where is William?”
“How would I know where that fuck is?  What am I, his babysitter?” Jacques spit out at Leonardo with flared nostrils. Leonardo grabbed the side of Jacques’ head and slammed him hard into the ground.  Jacques cried out in pain, his wails filling the dining room.  He raised his shoulders making his neck disappear, all to try to hide himself from the pureblood vampire.  Leonardo observed him with disgust.
“What about now? Where is William?!” Leonardo was quickly losing patience with the human drunkard.  Jacques sobbed out his answer.
“His house, his house! He was supposed to pay us with a painting by his famous artist friend.  He said it woulda been worth more riches than we had ever seen.  We were gonna go get it before we were interrupted by your…friends.” Jacques swallowed quickly, his voice quivering.
Leonardo and Arthur looked at each other, understanding that Will was going to use Vincent’s painting to pay the two men for capturing you.
At this moment Comte came up from the basement and headed to the dining room where Jacques was shivering and groaning in pain.
Leonardo looked up at Arthur with a scowl on his face.
“I’m going to go to Will’s house.”
Comte looked at Leonardo.
“Will’s house?”
“Yea, this idiot says that’s where they were headed before Arthur got ahold of him.  I’ll have no trouble bringing him back if he’s there. Hopefully Theo and Napoleon got ahold of him first.”
Comte walked over to Jacques and looked down at him while he stroked his throat.  He replayed in his mind what you had told him Jacques did after he apprehended you.  His skin tightened as he lowered his eyebrows at Jacques.
“Go ahead Leo, I’ll take care of this idiot.”
Leonardo nodded his head and stood, wasting no time he headed out the door and made his way towards William’s house.
Upstairs Vincent had kept you company by talking, in hopes to ease your stress.  Vincent was a great listener; he knew how to uplift you just when you needed it most.  He had a grand altruism to him, always willing to sacrifice himself for the good of others.  You began to feel more pain as the medicine Arthur had given you began to wear off. You looked at Vincent, your face grimacing in pain.
“Vincent, can you give me some more medicine?”
“Sure thing.”  Vincent got up and walked over to Comte’s table where there were different bottles scattered.  He picked up the medicine bottle, only for it to be empty.
“It seems to be empty, how bad is your pain?”
“It’s pretty bad Vincent, my head is starting to hurt more and more.”  You held your palm against your head, avoiding your gash.  Vincent eyebrows furrowed, seeing how the discomfort was growing rather rapidly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll go get Arthur to bring you more medicine.”
“Thanks Vincent”, you said smiling at him.  You laid back down and closed your eyes and you heard Vincent leave the room and close the door.  Vincent headed towards Arthur’s room and found Dazai still inside.
“Hey Dazai, where’s Arthur? ______ is in pain and she needs more medicine.”
Dazai looked from Sebastian over to the door where Vincent stood grasping the handle.
“I don’t believe he’s back yet but check downstairs just in case.”
“Thanks, will do.” Vincent said with a smile as he quietly shut the door, getting a quick glance at poor Sebastian who was still breathing in low shallow pants.  Vincent headed down the stairs into the dining room to see Comte and Arthur standing over Jacques, facing away from him.  Arthur spoke up and was filling in Comte on what Jacques had said.
“Well Jacques had said that Will still needed to pay them, so they were going to head to his house.”
Comte looked at Arthur and raised an eyebrow, scratching his temple.
“Pay them?  He was going to pay them?”
“Yes and get this…he was going to pay them with a painting that one of his ‘famous artist friend’ had made.  Will had told Jacques that the painting would have been worth a lot of money.  Clearly Jacques was talking about Vincent’s paintings.”
Vincent’s eyes went wide at what he just heard.  His breath quickened as he felt a chill run through his body.  He walked over to where Arthur and Comte were talking.
“What did you just say?” Vincent asked with a slack expression.
Comte and Arthur turned around to see Vincent.  Comte looked upset at Vincent.
“What are you doing down here Vincent?”
“_____ needed medicine, and there was none left so I had to go get Arthur.” Vincent looked at Arthur, waiting for a response. Arthur looked at Comte and then at Vincent.
“I’ll be up there right away to give her some more medicine.”
At that moment the doors to the front of the mansion burst open, Theo and Napoleon rushing inside.
Theo and Napoleon had just made it back to the mansion, entering the front door in time to see Leonardo leaving the mansion in a hurry.  They walked towards the dining room where they saw Comte, Arthur, and Vincent standing still, watching them as they came closer.
Theo spoke first, letting Comte know that William had escaped and that they needed to be on high alert. Comte took in a quick breath and drew his eyebrows together.
“We’ve got to find him as quick as possible, Leo is going to his house right now to apprehend him, but we’ve still got to keep an eye out for William.  This is getting out of hand.”  Comte spoke in a calm and stern voice, letting the lesser vampires know that he still intended to catch William. What Comte didn’t know was that amongst the turmoil of the night, that there were a set of eyes on the mansion. Specifically…a set of mismatched eyes staring into his room from the balcony window.  Will knew where Comte’s room was located, for of course, he used to live in the mansion too.  He knew just where he would keep his beloved human.
The wind howled outside as branches cracked from the sheer force of the gust whipping through the air. The leaves of the trees all hummed together in their tune, being swayed back and forth by the turbulent climate. Rain drops started to fall in a harsh pitter patter onto the mansion windows, walls, and onto the still William peering in at your sleeping form.  The rain drops fell through his hair as he slicked it back with a sickening smile.  He carefully turned the doorknob to the balcony as he entered the room and quickly strode over to your bedside.  The strong wind from the outside knocked over the empty bottles of medicine and salve on Comte’s desk.  Leaves tumbled into the room and scraped against the wooden floor as they sought further refuge inside of the warm room.  The air shifted in the room and you could smell the rain from the outside, you opened your eyes only to be greeted by the dark and haunting silhouette of William by your bedside.  Your eyes widened with fear as you took in a deep breath, ready to scream.  William quickly reached down and covered your mouth with one hand and pulled out a long silver dagger with the other.  Your body began to shake as you took quick breaths.
“Don’t make any noises, don’t you see that I am trying to better the whole world?  Tragedy is the highest form of theatre but seeing as how those two buffoons couldn’t get the job done, I’ll have to do it myself.” William pressed the knife to your throat as he pulled you up from your sleeping position.  Your body shook in his arms as he spun you around to face the open balcony window.  You could feel the warmth of his body as you pressed yourself back into him, trying to stop his progress.  He moved both of you closer to the door as the knife continued to press into your throat. Will leaned in close to your ear and whispered with a hot breath,
“How will the Count react to the eternal death of the one he loves?”
Pure fear.  That was the feeling that overtook you in an instant. Fear being the only emotion you could possibly convey and understand in this moment where time truly stood still.
Downstairs, Comte and the others were formulating their plan when they all sensed your fear, stagnant and palpable.  Your raw emotion being detectable to a vampire was an easy task.  Comte looked at the ceiling of the dining room and whispered your name, a chill running through him.  He quickly disappeared into thin air, teleporting into his room while the other vampires clamored up the stairs.  He appeared in a cloud of black and gold to witness the scene unfolding before him in the now cold room.  Your night gown was soaked from the rain, your hair sticking to your face.  William held the silver dagger to your throat while he looked at Comte maniacally.  You were being thrust over the edge of the balcony, Will holding onto your soaked nightgown while his knife was still at your throat.  Your hands were grasping at Will’s hand that had the knife to your neck. You looked at Comte as tears rolled down your face, already wet with the now torrential downpour. Drops of water rolled down your neck, mingling with the soaked fabric below.  The water made your night gown cling to your shivering body, as you sought to make any sense of what awaited you.
You could audibly make out Comte’s breathing as his anger quickly rose.  The fangs in his teeth coming out in full show as he planted his legs wide.  He stretched out his fingers, then closed them in a fist, his knuckles cracking from the pressure.  His golden eyes were cold and hard as he eyed William.  The veins in his neck pulsed and twitched as his pupils dilated, taking in more of his prey.  William looked at Comte, his determination rising.
“Comte, this is your baptism…in fire.”
Comte’s heartbeat pounded as he lunged forward toward William.  At the same time, the other vampires had made it upstairs and poured into Comte’s room.
William smiled cockily at Comte, having him right where he wanted him.  At that very moment, he let go of your night gown, leaving you to fall from the balcony’s edge.  You locked eyes with Comte as your body began its descent to the cold hard ground.  The air whipped around your body as the ground came ever closer.  Vincent’s voice shook with a loud scream at seeing William let you go.
“NOOO!”
Comte dove off the balcony edge as he sped towards you in mid-air.  You were moving too fast as the thunder and lightning cracked in the sky, illuminating the ground as you neared your death.  You looked up to the sky to see Comte closing in on you through the air. But you were too close to the ground, he could see it, he would not have time to stop you completely.  There were milliseconds left, only fractions of time before you hit the ground.  Comte stretched out his arm and grabbed your hand and drew it to his mouth, biting fiercely on your delicate wrist.  Instantly you could feel the mind-numbing pleasure, mixed with the excruciating pain of hitting the ground at such a high velocity.  The crack of your bones hitting the ground could be heard over the moaning of the wind.  He could only hope that you had enough time to turn, because hope was all he had left.
Any pleasure you may have felt was gone, as pain overtook you completely.  You could feel your vision begin to leave your body as everything turned black and coldness took over your bones.  The color began to drain from your face as you weakly clutched at your chest. You reached out blindly as Comte grabbed your hand and brought it to his face, kissing your fingers and hand as he took shallow breaths, tears welling up in his eyes.  You opened your mouth and spoke softly, using the remainder of your strength along with your last breath.
“I love you, I will always love you no matter what, and even if.”  Your hand slipped from his face as it hit the ground with a thud.  Your body lay motionless on the ground, your wet hair splayed out around your head as your heart stopped beating.
Comte looked on with wide eyes, he rubbed at his brow as he tried to form words that wouldn’t come out. His skin went pale as he shook his head from side to side.
“No, this is impossible! This wasn’t supposed to happen, it’s not true!”
He blinked quickly as he neared closer to your still body.  He slumped his body over yours as he protected what was left of his love from the rain.  Comte opened his trembling lips with a quick gasp, an anguished scream erupting from the depths of his soul.  His chest tightened as his heart became heavy.  He could feel his throat tightening as he swallowed the drops of your blood that remained on his lips.
William had jumped down from the balcony to witness Comte’s defeat, as well as his own successful tragedy. William had a wide grin on his face as he spoke to Comte, the silver dagger still in his hand.
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.  They have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts.  That man is you Comte.  You wield some of the greatest humans of this world to your will, but now your story has come to it’s tragic end.”
The other vampires had jumped the balcony and were now on the ground, horrified to see your lifeless body laying on ground.  Comte’s head snapped at William, his eyes became solid black as he barreled towards William.  William took a step back, but Comte had already grabbed the dagger from his hand. He reached behind William’s neck and grabbed tightly, quickly plunging the dagger into his heart.  William’s mouth fell open, his eyes widening at the sensation.  He reached out and grabbed at Comte’s arms, grounding himself from the pain.  Comte twisted the knife that was still inside of William, pushing it in deeper as blood poured out.  Comte could feel his adrenaline as it raced through his body, watching William’s chest hitch up and down.  William looked into Comte’s dark eyes with a pained look, retracting his arms and pulling them to his chest.  He could feel his heart starting to slow, each pump sending gushes of blood onto Comte’s soaked clothes.  Comte quickly dragged the dagger down and across, slicing William open as he fell to the ground onto his side.
Vincent cried out as tears fell down his face, mixing with the thundering rain that kept falling. He tried to move towards your body and William’s, but Theo held him back as he watched the gruesome scene unfold before him.  William looked at Vincent, as his eviscerated body lay on the ground.  He pressed his lips together to stop their shaking and gave Vincent a stiff smile.  William took a big gulp as he blinked his eyes several time, then stared straight ahead at your body with furrowed eyebrows.  He shook his head in disbelief.
You slowly opened your eyes, only to have them now a golden color.  You took in a deep breath, your fangs extracted as you released a small groan. Vincent looked at you and then at Comte, unsure if he was actually seeing your dead body come back to life. You pressed a hand to your wet chest, amazed that you had passed through the dark void of death to come back to your own dimension.  Using a hand to push yourself up, you sat on the ground as the rain and wind whipped your hair through the air.  The rain dropped onto your icy skin as your lips parted to show your gleaming fangs. The lightning cracked and the thunder roared as you tightened your fists.  You stood up, holding your chin high and shoulders back.  You were now a force to be reckoned with, a vampire. You looked directly at William as he abruptly started laughing, causing blood to spurt out of his mouth.  It was a laugh filled with sorrow and bitterness. His eyes were wet with tears as his body grew colder, his vision beginning to blur.  The pool of his blood surrounding his body on the ground had spread out, he was almost out of time.  He spoke quietly, his voice breaking.
“The course of true love never did run smooth, maybe I’ll see you in another life…mademoiselle.”
I know I took a really long time to write this story, but I thank each of you that took the time to read it and support me along the way.  I hope you enjoyed Fury! :)

“Hey Hiyori, why don’t you go grab your lunch now, it’s so slow today anyway.” You said.
“Hmm, are you sure it’s not that you don’t want to spend some alone time with Ichthys?” Hiyori teased.
“What?!  No way, I already told you that we are not together!”
Although you desperately wished that the opposite were true.  Ichthys had begun to take over your mind.  He was all you could think about lately.
You had already gotten used to Ichthys stopping by and goofing off with the young kids that would show up to see the stars.  Ichthys was happily chatting with a child, probably teaching him a new prank no doubt.  The thought made you smile.  Although Ichthys seemed to always be getting in trouble for his tricks, you couldn’t help but love that childish side about him.  You didn’t realize that you were staring at Ichthys, until you heard his voice calling out to you.

Chapter 1:  Inspiration for a Playwright
You were coming down the stairs to hear Comte having a discussion with someone.  The closer you got, the more it began to sound like an argument.  You could hear Comte’s voice slowly start to lose patience. As Comte came into view, you got a good look at the man in question who was making your lover exasperated.  You had seen him in passing, but never had the opportunity to meet him.  As long as you had been there, it was almost like there was an invisible force keeping you two from being properly introduced.  Upon seeing you, Comte slightly frowned, his eyes flicked over to the man. The man had dark hair with mismatched eyes.  His smile was small as he walked towards you.
“At last, we finally meet.  I’ve been looking forward to this.”
He grabbed your hand and brought it to his mouth for a quick kiss.
“William”, Comte growled.
“Ah, as he said, I am William Shakespeare.  What might your name be?”
“I’m _______, Monsieur.”
You felt trapped as you could see Comte’s extreme displeasure at having William so close to you.
Comte moved closer to the both of you, causing William to release your hand.
“Well, I believe this is the only introduction we have time for today, maybe I’ll see you around town mademoiselle, I’m always looking for a new muse for my plays.”.
It was then that you could hear Sebastian in the kitchen preparing breakfast for the day.
“If you’ll excuse me, I need to help Sebastian.”, you said, excusing yourself from the increasingly uncomfortable situation.  You dashed into the kitchen, leaving Comte to finish talking with William.  By the time you and Sebastian had finished the meal, William had gone.
It was time for you to go out into town to gather the ingredients for the evening’s meal.  Sebastian always gave you a quick list of the things that he needed.  You were ready to leave as you headed to the mansion’s main door.  Comte was in the foyer as you approached, giving you a dazzling smile.
“I was thinking that it would be nice for me to go into town with you.  It is not often that we get to spend time in the city together, Ma Cherie.”
“I would love that!”, you exclaimed, making Comte chuckle at your excitement.
Comte headed into town with you.  It was a nice change of pace from the day to day routine that you were used to.  You walked next to Comte, holding your basket and looking up brightly at him.  He looked down at you and smiled with a sweet tenderness that made your heart melt.  You truly loved him, and you knew that he loved you.  Comte had never thought that he would be happy with any woman. He had long accepted that he would be alone, that his fate as a vampire had been sealed.  But then you came into his life like a bright ray of sunshine on his lonely heart.  He never thought that love could feel so beautiful, so fulfilling.  It would be an understatement to say that you were important to him.  He knew that each moment with you was precious, as your time was finite.  He looked forward to every encounter, every conversation, every smile…every kiss.  The blissful happiness that he shared with you overflowed his heart.
You were happy to oblige his request to take a walk into town, to spend the day together as lovers.  Comte walked leisurely next to you, his eyes gazing over the crowd of people.  As you kept walking, you came upon a pub on the left-hand side.  The brick façade a faded red, with dirt alleys on either side. The noise of rowdy patrons making its way onto the street, caused heads to turn to the door.
You knew the pub very well.  Sebastian had sent you there recently to get some coffee for the mansion.  It was inside the pub that you remember seeing those men, the ones that tried to swindle you.
The first man was short and stocky, with stubble on his face.  His brown hair was matted with grime, and his breath smelled of cheap liquor, cigarettes, and old food.  His teeth were tinted yellow, his gum line red from irritation.
His partner was no better for the wear.  His dark blue eyes had pinpointed you the moment you had walked into the bar.  You were a new pretty face to play with.  He was a tall man, with a bit of muscle on his upper body.  He looked like he was in better shape than his friend, but still succumbed to the same vices.  Both were clearly drunk, and it seemed that causing trouble was second nature for these two.
Luckily for you that Arthur frequented the pub and happened to see your predicament, leading him to challenge them to a game.  Arthur’s genius proved true as you were saved from those men.  They were very upset at having lost to the both of you, you remember how they scowled and gnashed their teeth at the loss.  They had lost a bit of money in the exchange and had since been trying to figure out how to recuperate their coin.
It was those sneering faces that she instantly recognized strolling towards them.  You squeezed Comte’s hand a little tighter.  The pure blood vampire noticed your change in demeanor.  You stepped a little closer to his tall frame.  Not that you were worried you would be hurt, of course.  Having a pure blood vampire by your side, you knew that no one could hurt you.  You unconsciously sought out the warmth that radiated from his body, it was a heat that made you feel loved, and safe.
The two drunkards stopped in front of the two of you. They looked over to you, eyes piercing like daggers.  You could tell that they were still sore from losing the card game with you and Arthur. They looked up and down your body and then smirked.  You instinctively grimaced your face.  It’s not that you meant to, but the way they raked their eyes over your body made your skin crawl.  Looking at your face, they sucked their teeth at your reaction, frowning.
Comte spoke up, “May we help you gentlemen?”.
The shorter man spoke up, “That little lady over there owes us quite a sum of money, and seeing as you are clearly her benefactor, we thought that we should take up her debt with you.”
Comte huffed out a little air, clearly amused that these men thought that they were going to get the money that they tried to cheat out of you.  You and Arthur had already told Comte everything that had happened in the pub the moment that you had come home.  These two were known for their continued ploys towards visitors that did not know any better.  He knew that these two were just trying to make a quick buck.
Comte spoke in a still voice, “The young lady does not owe you anything, and you will be receiving nothing from myself.  I suggest you move aside and allow us to be on our way.”.
The two men looked at each other and then back at Comte. They opened a path between them to allow you to continue walking.  Comte nodded his head at them and continued forward.
The tall man was to your right as you walked past.  He lowered his voice and whispered, “Maybe we’ll see you around town mademoiselle.”.
You looked at him with eyebrows furrowed and a frown on your face.
“I don’t believe so Monsieur”, you replied.
Once you had walked out of earshot of the two men, Comte released your hand to put his arm around your shoulder and draw you into his body as you continued on your walk.
“I hope those two didn’t scare you Ma Cherie”, he asked softly.
You looked up and smiled warmly, “No, I knew that nothing was going to happen, they are just petty drunkards.  And besides, with you by my side, nothing is going to happen to me, I trust you.”
At those last words Comte squeezed your shoulder and gave you a big smile.  The corner of his eyes crinkling at the feeling in his chest.  He was glad that you knew that he would not let any harm to you.
Comte continued, “Do not worry about those men, Ma Cherie. There are many individuals in this time that are looking for ways to scare others into giving them what is not rightfully theirs.  I would not put any stock into what they said.”
“Thank you, Comte, I appreciate your concern, but really I’m all right!”
You smiled sweetly at him, and in return he gave you a smile back.  The rest of the evening proceeded without any more disturbances, the conversation with the troublemakers long forgotten.
Your walk had started with the warm sun, but as the evening had worn on, the air had become crisp and cool.  As you approached the mansion a particular gust of wind caused you to shiver and let out a light sneeze.  Comte asked, “Are you getting sick?”
“No, it was just that gust of wind that made me feel slightly cold.”, you said.
You didn’t want to put a damper on end of your lovely day out, and besides, you really did feel fine.  The vampires looked at you with reproach.  Clearly, he thought that you were lying and indeed you were getting sick.
You both made your way inside the mansion.  You had bought the last of the fresh baguettes for dinner, as you knew that Comte enjoyed having it with his nightly meal. You skipped into the kitchen to see Sebastian putting the finishing touches on the evening’s meal.
“Is there anything that I can help with Sebastian?”
Sebastian turned and smiled, “Oh hello, you can start preparing the vials of rouge.  How was your walk into town with Comte?”
You started to retell Sebastian about your day excitedly. Sebastian smiled and chuckled at how fast you were talking.  You were enthusiastically telling him about the different shops that you stopped in, the different little trinkets that Comte had bought you when you weren’t looking, and the new bakery that had just opened.
“A new bakery?  Where is it, I did not realize that a new shop had opened up?”, Sebastian said.
“Oh, it’s a little place on the far side of the city!” There were lots of pastries and other goodies, but they surprisingly were low on baguettes.”, you said.
You began to set the dinner plates on the dining table and set up the bottles of rouge for the residents.  Heading back to the kitchen, you cut up the bread and brought it out with the salad that Sebastian had prepared.  You set them on the table and breathed in the smell of fresh baked bread. You could see why the residents, especially Comte, indulged in the daily treat of bread with butter or jam.
The residents started to file into the dining hall and took their seats and you and Sebastian served them their meals.  The residents all smiled at you fondly and you engaged them with conversation about your day.  You had become precious to each of the residents in their own way. Your presence in the mansion was one that they had all come to enjoy and look forward to every day.  You were different than other women of this time. Your heart was carefree and light. You cared for all the residents with a genuine appreciation for their talents and most importantly, for who they were as individuals.  The mansion was like a family, and they all loved you in their own way.  The dinner was lively, as it was every night. Talking and laughing until all the food was gone and everyone sat satisfied and happy.
The residents got up from the table and returned to their different activities.  You started the ritual of picking up the table of plates, cups, and glasses.  Bringing all the dishes into the kitchen, you and Sebastian got to the nightly chores of cleaning and preparing for the next day.  Sebastian headed over to the counter and started scribbling on a piece of paper.  He turned and handed you the paper.
“These are a couple things that we will need for tomorrow’s dinner.”  Along with the list, he handed you the money for the ingredients.  It was part of your daily routine and ingrained in your memory. Every afternoon you would head into town to the market to gather a few of the ingredients that were required for the nightly dinner.  You loved your walks into town and enjoyed watching the people of the past.
You took the paper and money and tucked them into your pocket.  Once you finished cleaning, you headed up to your room to get washed for the night. It had been a long day and you were looking forward to spending the night with Comte.
You enjoyed the day with Comte, but there was still something that bothered you about your overall lovely day.  Those men.  The man’s words played out in your head,
“Maybe we’ll see you around town mademoiselle.”
You pushed the thought to the back of your mind.  Surely, they were just trying to get a rise out of me…right? No, no you shouldn’t dwell on what he said. Besides, Comte made it clear that those men were used to playing these types of tricks on people. They were thieves looking to scam anyone they could.  You were just another number to them.
With that thought firmly in your head, you relaxed and cleaned yourself up.  You brushed your hair and put on one of the silk nightgowns that Comte had purchased for you.  Wrapping yourself in a robe, you quickly exited your room and padded over to Comte’s door.  You knocked three times and waited for a response.
“Who is it?”, Comte asked.
“It’s me!”, you said with excitement in your voice.
“Come in Ma Cherie.” Comte replied.  You opened the door to see Comte sitting at his desk, dealing with paperwork as usual.  He lowered his pen as he looked up at the door.  You quickly entered and closed the door behind you, locking it with an audible ‘click’.  Comte raised an eyebrow and began to smile deviously.
“Ma Cherie, you locked the door.  May I ask what you have planned for the evening?  I am a very busy man after all.”
You knew he was teasing you, as he so loved to do.  You approached him, dropping your robe, leaving you draped in the fine silk night gown.  The silk hung from your body, showing every dip and curve of your body to Comte.  You knew he loved to see you in the things he would purchase for you.
You walked up to his desk, as lust began to fill his eyes. It gave him pleasure to see your beautiful body graced by something that he himself picked out.    He pulled you into his lap and grabbed your chin with his fingers.  He lifted your face to look into your eyes.
What he saw there was a pool of desire and longing. You couldn’t deny that Comte was more than just an attractive man.  He had centuries of experience under his belt, and it showed in the passionate ways that he knew how to draw out your pleasure.
The intimate setting of sitting on his lap had you burning with hunger for his touch over your soft skin.  He tightened his hand on your waist and pulled you flush to his chest. He touched his forehead to yours and brushed his lips over open parted mouth.  His tongue darted out to lick your lips.  You gasped as you felt his tongue and he slipped inside.  His tongue was rolling over yours, lighting a fire in your core.
You reached up one hand to grab his hair and another to the back of his neck.  You positioned yourself so you were straddling his lap and began to grind into his crotch as your kiss deepened.  His touch was intoxicating, making your heart race and body temperature rise.  You could feel your heart pounding and were sure that he could as well.
His hips began to thrust up, rubbing roughly against your panties.  You could feel the outline of his member starting to grow hard underneath you.  You were both panting, chests heaving.  You needed to be closer to him, to feel him on your skin.  Quickly you pulled the night gown off, leaving you bared before him.
His breath hitched upon seeing your beautiful breasts, he drew in a shaky sigh as he lowered his mouth to your round bud.  He twirled his tongue around your peak, as you let out a loud moan.
“Sing for me, Ma Cherie.  You know I love to hear your voice as I pleasure you.  Don’t hold back.”, he purred.
He took your breast roughly in his mouth and began to suck desperately.  You cried out loudly, as your body jerked forward into his mouth.
You grabbed the back of his head and pressed it into your breast as you began to grind hard into his lap. His breath was growing ragged as he thrust up more forcefully, trying to gain any type of friction to his now fully hard member.
You whimpered at him, “Take off your clothes.  I want to feel your body against mine.”
He pushed you off his lap and hurriedly began to rip off his clothes.  His desperation was evident in the speed with which his clothes were flying off his body.  You took off your panties and sat back onto his desk.  Spreading your legs, allowing Comte to have a full view of your glistening folds.  His naked body towered over your small frame, his cock hard and pulsing.  He gulped hard as he stared hungrily at your wet arousal.
He knelt down and began to frantically kiss the inside of your thighs.  He drew closer to your entrance.  Your smell made him dizzy with desire.  He grabbed your leg and slung it over his shoulder.
You looked at him with shaky breath, waiting for him to make his move.  He parted your folds and licked a strip from your entrance all the way to your clit. You gasped and reached down to grab his hair.  He began to lick little circles around your clit while you began to moan and buck your hips up into his mouth.  He eagerly lapped up your sweet juices, trying to catch it all before it dripped down his chin and neck.
You writhed beneath him and he moved a hand over your hips to hold you still as he continued to pleasure your clit.  He sucked roughly and teased your clit with his teeth as he brought two fingers to your entrance and began to pump slowly in and out.
It was pure bliss, the feeling of euphoria that was running through your body had you whispering his name on your lips.  All you could focus on was his tongue working on your clit, his fingers that were now pumping in and out of you at a wild pace, his hard and heavy breaths that were becoming ragged and inconsistent. His actions were becoming animalistic as your pussy was soaked with the arousal that he had brought upon you.
You could tell that he was not going to be able to last much longer.  He started to thrust his hips into the air, seeking some sort of friction to his engorged member.   You couldn’t wait any longer, you wanted to feel him inside you.  You yanked his hair and pulled him up your chest.  He came up and sloppily kissed you as he continued to pump his soaked digits into your body.  Your walls were clenching around his fingers.  He groaned into the wet kiss.
“I need you, please.”, you said.
He pulled his fingers out of you and grabbed his hard cock.  You looked down to see his precum had already dripped out as he rubbed it across his slit.  He aligned his cock to your folds and in one thrust he sheathed himself inside of you. His cock stretched your walls as he threw his head back in pure ecstasy.  He grabbed your hips and started to pump into your tight pussy.  His cock was reaching all the way back and hitting your cervix with every thrust.
“It’s not enough, please, I-I want you to take your pleasure from me too.  You can be rougher with me, I won’t break.” You said.
His control snapped at your words.  He gripped your hips tightly and began to slam into you at breakneck speed.  His thrusts were so hard and fast, your breasts were bouncing back and forth from every movement of his hips.
He rammed into your hips, the sound of wet skin slapping against wet skin filled the room.  Your moans were bouncing off the walls, enticing and encouraging his to move even faster.  The sounds of pleasure coming from your mouth were like music to his ears.  You could feel your body start to tighten, your walls started to pulse around his thick cock that was pounding in and out of your sex.
“Oh God! Comte!”, you screamed.  Your body began to shake and convulse on his desk, the muscles of your pussy squeezing his cock as he kept up his punishing speed.  You came all over his cock as he leaned forward and grabbed both of your legs.  He slung them over his shoulder and leaned on top of you over the desk.
He continued ramming into you at this angle.  You could see the sweat dripping from his body, his hair was sticking to his forehead and neck.  His face contorted with the pleasure he was receiving from being so deep inside your beautiful body.  His last thrusts were strong and powerful, as his hips stuttered, his hot cum filled you completely.  He pressed his hips flush against your body, as he emptied himself inside of you.  His pants and strangled gasps filled the silent air as he opened his eyes to look down at your ravished body.  Your chest was heaving, moving your breasts up and down. He slowly pulled out and reached down to bring you into a tight embrace.
“I love you so much Ma Cherie.”
He caressed your face with the back of his hand.  He picked you up and walked you over to his bed. He laid you down and returned with a washcloth and cleaned you.    He lay down beside you and pulled you into his chest.  His strong arm around your waist, holding you close and not wanting to let go.
His breathing was still uneven from the intense love making. You reached one arm around to stroke his back as you placed a gentle kiss to his chest.  He smiled at the gesture and tucked his chin to look down at your face.  You moved up to brush your lips against his.  He looked at you with softness in his eyes.  He could not believe that he had someone like you to share his life with. He kissed you with passion and love, squeezing you tight against his chest. He reached down to pull the covers over both of you, as you began to drift off to sleep in his arms.  In your sleepy state, one thing was still in the back of your mind.
“Maybe we’ll see you around town mademoiselle.”.
Worry filled your mind as you pressed your body a little closer to Comte’s.
As you fell asleep, you thought to yourself, “Why does that sound so familiar?”

Chapter 2:  The Beginning of a Tragedy
“Maybe we’ll see you around town mademoiselle”.
“I don’t believe so Monsieur”, you replied.
The men watched as you and Comte walked away from them, heading deeper into the city.  The taller man chuckled to himself,
“Looks like that crazy man was right, Jacques.  He knew exactly when that girl would show up.”
“Of course!  I told you that he was legitimate, Pierre.  Now that you understand that his information is valid, can we please get on with getting our money back?!”
He looked up at Pierre, exasperated that they had to waste this time to prove that his information was genuine.
“Now, he said that every day the girl heads into town to shop.  Specifically, she always seems to buy baguettes.” Jacques said.
Pierre looked down at his friend, confused and clueless.
“What does that matter? Who cares if she buys bread? What about our damn money?!”
“Pierre, you’re an idiot. Tomorrow she will be going to the new bakery at the far side of the city.  He made sure of it.  As long as we know that she will be at that bakery, we know we can get compensated. One way…or another”, he smirked.
His eyes glistened with his ill intentions for the little lady. Pierre nodded in understanding, an evil grin creeping upon his face.  He loosened his collar and snickered,
“I can’t fucking wait”.

Chapter 3:  A Difficult Decision Made
As Comte held your body in the entry way, he gave orders to Leonardo.
“Take care of that man for me, I need to see to _____’s injuries.”
He turned to look at Arthur.
“After you finish tending to Sebastian’s wounds, please come to my room.”
“Sure thing.” Arthur replied.
Comte quickly turned around and walked away from the unfolding scene behind him.  With you in his arms, he made his way up the stairs and to his room.  As he walked, he took in your injuries.  He could feel the knot in his throat begin to tighten.
“I can’t believe I let this happen.  How could I not see what was going to happen?  How could William have orchestrated this right under my very nose?”
He carefully stepped into his room and pushed the door behind him closed with his foot.  He headed straight for his private bath at the back of the room.  You were floating in and out of consciousness, but your guard was down now that you were with Comte.  He set you down on a chair and began to gently remove your clothes.  Once they were undone, he tenderly picked you up and set you inside the porcelain tub filled with warm water.  Grabbing a washcloth, he began to wipe away at the blood, the dirt, the grime…the filth that those men had left on your soft skin.  The warm water lapped at your sore body with a welcome pleasantness.  He placed a makeshift bandage on your head, a temporary placeholder for whatever Arthur would decide you needed.
You looked at Comte through glassy eyes.  You could see the grief on his face.  You knew that he loved you, and of course he would feel guilty.  His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he continued to clean you and look at your bruises.  He stopped abruptly and raised a hand to your neck.  He brushed his fingers over the bruise.  A handprint was now clearly evident on your neck.  A reminder of the struggle that you just narrowly escaped. You reached up to grab his hand in yours, as you both looked at each other through blurry visions in silence. He gave your hand a squeeze as a tear fell from his eye.
“_____, I’m so sorry. I am so sorry.  Please forgive me.” He whispered. He did not try to hide the tears; his remorse didn’t let him.
His voice was quivering. In all his years on this earth, he had never been so scared.  He has searched high and low, believing that he would always be alone.  But then you came into his life, an angel that fell in love with a fiend like him.  He already felt undeserving of your love, but in this moment, the reality of what had happened to you hit him like a freight train.  He was a pureblood vampire, and you…a human.  Your life could have easily ended tonight.  He might never have gotten to see your smiling face again. To look upon the smile that lit up his day.  He might never have gotten to hear your voice again.  His stomach turned and twisted at the thought of how close he came to completely losing you.
You could see that Comte was having an internal struggle with everything that had happened to you in town. You tightened your grip on his hand, pulling it up to your face.  You laid a gentle kiss of the back of his hand.  His eyes widened at the gesture.
“Comte, I don’t believe you have anything to be sorry for.  It was not you that did this to me.  It was William.”  Looking at his face, he still appeared unconvinced.  You reached your arms out to him and he leaned in a bit closer to your face and into your arms.
“I will always love you Comte.  No matter what has happened to me in the past, today, or whatever will happen to me in the future, I will always continue loving you.  Even when my life on this earth comes to a close, I’m sure that in the next life, I will continue to love you until forever comes to an end. Don’t you see, before I met you, I was incomplete.  I was half of a soul wandering aimlessly through life.  I genuinely believe that you are my other half.  My soul is complete now because we are together. The happiness that I feel knowing that we found each other is immeasurable.  Do you know how much I love you?  Count the stars, and they will tell you how deeply my love for you runs through my veins.  I could never be apart from you, so please, banish these feelings from within yourself. I love you.”
Upon hearing your words, Comte drew you into his arms.  He held you against his chest, living proof that you were still alive and that somehow this angel still loved him.  He whispered into your ear.
“_____, I will always love you.  When you’ve long left this earth, I will love you.  In a millennia, I will continue to love you.  You are my everything.  Before you, I was just existing, but now my life exists because of you.  You are my life and life itself.  I love you.”
You were both wrapped in a tender embrace, basking in the love you had for one another, a forbidden love that brought life into both of your existences.
Downstairs at the front entrance, there was no love of any kind to be found.  Pierre lay whimpering on the ground as Leonardo stared coldly at him nearby.  Dazai and Jean had returned with the stretcher and Arthur’s medical bag and were kneeling next to Sebastian, who still lay unconscious on the ground. Arthur quickly went through his medical bag and pulled out a neck brace and gently placed it around Sebastian’s neck. Sebastian’s face had begun to swell, both his eyes black and blue.  His dried blood mingled with the fresh still weeping from his wounds, while his breathing grew more labored.
“Carefully, we’re going to put him on the stretcher and be sure to keep his head and neck as still as possible.  We don’t want to cause further damage.”  Arthur ordered.
Dazai, Jean, and Arthur carefully transferred Sebastian to the stretcher, making sure to heed Arthur’s warning.  They picked up the stretcher, and headed inside to Arthur’s room, leaving the rest of the vampires outside, with Pierre still on the ground.
In his rage, Leonardo had done a number on Pierre.  Pierre was bleeding profusely, taking shallow breaths in trying to regain his senses. He knew that something was not normal about these men, who so easily overcame him in strength and speed.  One of his eyes had already swelled shut and was colored with dark purples and reds. He was missing a couple more teeth as blood flowed from his mouth down onto his clothes that were already stained with crimson and dirt.  He struggled to breathe, as Leonardo had broken a rib or two in the process of teaching Pierre a lesson.  His pained gasps gained no sympathy from any of the vampires, especially Leonardo.
Pierre tried to drag his body in agony, away from these men that he had already deemed to be some kind of monsters.
“Scusa, where do you think you’re going?” Leonardo said, pressing his boot into Pierre’s back.
Pierre yelled out in anguish, pain shooting throughout his whole body.
“You’re not going anywhere, bastardo.” Leonardo reached down and grabbed the back of his blouse, dragging his body into the house.
“Everyone else, wait in the dining room for me.” He instructed the rest of the vampires.
Leonardo headed towards the basement of the house, opening the old door that had rarely been used. He took his first step into the basement, making dust rise from the old wooden step.  The weight of his and Pierre’s body made the stairs creak as he descended into the cool basement.  He headed towards one of the stone walls.  Some metal chains were attached to the walls, which he used to restrain Pierre.  Pierre was unable to put up a fight with his injuries, not that he would have been able to if he tried.  He was no match for a pureblood, an angry pureblood at that.
Leonardo grabbed Pierre’s face, bringing it close to his own.  His forehead creased as he spoke in a low voice, almost a growl.
“We will deal with you later. Make no noise, understand?  Or else I might have to come back and finish the job.”
Pierre nodded weakly, understanding his place and the situation that he was involved in.
“These men are monsters! Evil monsters!  I never should have gotten involved in Jacques stupid ideas.”, Pierre thought to himself as the pureblood walked back up the dusty stairs.
Leonardo reached the top of the stairs, closing the door and leaving Pierre in total darkness.
In Arthur’s room, Dazai and Jean were quickly following Arthur’s instruction, trying to help their injured friend.  They had set Sebastian down onto Arthur’s bed, as Arthur began a thorough inspection of his injuries.  While Sebastian was still unconscious, they cleaned up his injuries, put him in a fresh set of clothes, and made sure to put salve and fresh gauze onto his open wounds. Dazai and Jean were left impressed with the English author.  They had no idea that he was so proficient in the medical field, as Arthur rarely told anyone of his secret past as a doctor.
“Dazai, do you think you could stay here and look after Sebastian?  I still need to check with Comte and look over _____’s injuries.
“Absolutely, I will let you know once he awakens.” Dazai said.
Arthur looked over to Jean, who had begun to sway upon seeing all the rags soaked in blood.
“If you want to head downstairs, I can handle it from here Jean.”  Arthur said.
“Thank you, I think that would be best Arthur.”  Jean left the room quickly, making his way downstairs into the dining room, where he found some of the other vampires waiting and discussing the nights events.
Arthur grabbed his bag and headed promptly to Comte’s room.  By the time he arrived, Comte had already dressed you and laid you down onto his bed. You were resting when Arthur knocked quietly on the door.  The knock roused you from your groggy state, as you were still a bit nervous from the assault.
Comte swiftly opened the door and let Arthur into the room.  He motioned to you.
“I’ve already cleaned up the blood and took a look at her injuries, but it would put my mind at ease if you could have a look as well and treat her wounds.”
“Of course, that’s why I’m here.”
Arthur headed over to the bed and knelt down beside it.  He took off the bandage that Comte had placed on your head and began to examine the gash on your head.
“You did a good job of cleaning out the wound, but I’m still going to apply some antibiotics and give her some medicine to ease the pain.”
Comte nodded as he watched Arthur apply a salve to your wound and place a clean gauze bandage on your head. He then mixed together some medicine in a cup and had you drink it down, making sure that you drank it all.
Arthur looked at you as you settled into the bed and then began to speak hesitantly.
“I know that a lot has happened to you today, but any information that you can tell us about William and how you found out would be very beneficial.”
You looked up at Arthur and Comte, you tried to sit up as a pain shot through your entire body. Arthur and Comte rushed to help you sit up in the bed, making sure you didn’t move more than necessary.
Your throat was still very sore and your voice hoarse, but you managed to tell them everything that had happened.  You explained about the first bakery, and how they ran out of bread because of a certain English author donating money.
“I thought at first they were talking about you, Arthur.  I never even stopped to think about William being the one.”
Arthur looked at you quizzically.
“Why did you think it was me?” Arthur asked.
“Well, the baker said that the English author would frequent the pub across the street.  And I remember from last week when you helped me at the same pub.  Remember those two drunk guys?  Those were the same men that attacked me.  I thought I was just putting two and two together and came to the conclusion that the baker was talking about you.”
“So how did you find out that it was William and not me?”
“Well, I went to the new bakery that had just opened up.  On my way out of the bakery, I was walking by an alley, when I was grabbed and then pulled to the back of the alley.  It was there where they were talking, and they mentioned the name Will and how he had told them where I would be.  They also knew Comte and mentioned his title.  They knew all along who he was, and they were just playing dumb yesterday. When I said that I didn’t have the money, they said that I would pay in another way.”
You proceeded to tell them about how he had hurt you and cut your blouse, and about how he had treated you. You shivered as you thought about how you were almost taken.  Comte looked at you, his eyes looked down on you with sadness.
“Ma Cherie, did anything else happen?  Please tell me what they intended.”
“I am certain that they wanted me to pay….with my body.  While he was choking me, he…he ran his tongue across my neck.”  You touched your exposed neck at the memory and started to sob softly.
Arthur and Comte looked at each other in alarm, as they came to terms with how close you were to being sexually assaulted.  Your retelling of the events left everything clear to the two men:  Jacques and Pierre knew that you wouldn’t have the money, and they were going to take payment from you in the form of your body.
Comte could swear that he felt his blood begin to boil inside of him.
“THE FUCKING NERVE, HOW DARE THEY?!”
He had to calm himself down and he knelt down beside the bed and laid you back down.
“Go to sleep, Ma Cherie. You need the rest; I will ensure that the door is protected at all hours so you can sleep in peace.”
You nodded your head as you closed your heavy eyelids.  The afternoon’s events had left you tired and hurting.  The two men watched as you dozed off to sleep, and quietly slipped out of the room to let you rest.
Outside of the room, Comte took quick strides towards the stairs.  Arthur swiftly followed.
“Comte, what are we going to do?  We can’t let William get away with this, this is madness!”
“Don’t think for a second that I intend to let William continue to hurt _____.  This is the final straw, there will be repercussions for what has happened tonight, I guarantee it.”  With a flip of his tail coat, he continued his descent down the stairs and into the main dining hall, where the rest of the vampires were congregated with Leonardo discussing the nights events as they waited for Comte to show up.
The dining room fell into silence as the vampires looked at Comte with serious faces.  Comte looked across the dining hall at each of them. He began to speak in a clear and direct voice.
“What has happened tonight is inexcusable, I cannot allow for William to continue unpunished.  I was the one that brought him to this time and as such, he is my responsibility, I am much more aware of that now.”
At those words, Leonardo sucked his teeth.  His eyebrows furrowed at his old friend.  Comte skirted his eyes over to Leonardo before continuing to speak.
“Arthur and I talked with _____ and she gave us some more information that can be valuable to us, assuming that you are all willing to help.”
All the vampires nodded their heads in agreement.  There was no one in the room who was not willing to help you, especially considering that their precious human had been hurt so brutally.
Arthur told everyone your account of the night, including that William was frequently seen going into the bar across the street from the bakery.
“Since that old chap was seen going into the same bar that I go to, I was thinking that I would head over there tonight and see what I can dig up on those two drunks and anything I can pick up on William as well.”  At his words, Theo and Napoleon volunteered to tag along.
“I’ll do anything to see that he gets what coming to him, he’s the real hond.  How could he hurt _____ like that?” Theo remarked while shaking his head, muttering to himself more than to anyone else around him.
Napoleon stood up a little straighter pushing his shoulders back, his eyes clear with determination as he tightened his fists.  He is a soldier after all, and he can’t abide by such an innocent being abused.
All three men were ready, anticipating the battle that lay before them in the murky streets of Paris. The three of the men filed out the door and headed into the dark city with a hive mind of achieving one goal: find the remaining culprits and bring them back to pay for their heinous crime.
Once the three vampires left, Comte gave orders to Mozart, Isaac, and Jean to stay near the mansion to protect it from any unwanted visitors that may be conspiring with William. The three vampires gave a curt nod and headed to separate points of the mansion, their eyes peeled into the darkness outside, looking for anyone that may intrude into their home.
The only vampires left in the dining room were Leonardo, Comte, and Vincent.  Vincent sat at the dining room table as he ran a hand over his face.  His shoulders sat low while a feeling of heaviness made its home in his chest. Comte looked at Vincent, his emotions in turmoil.  He knew that Vincent was closest to William, and he had to be sure without a shadow of a doubt that Vincent was on his side.  He took the chair next to Vincent and the two vampires looked at each other. Comte opened his mouth to speak first, determination in his voice.
“Vincent, I know you and Will are close, but I think that we would both agree that his actions here today are egregious.  I don’t want to put you in any situation that would make you uncomfortable but understand that I cannot sit idly by and watch _____ get hurt.  I need to know your honest opinions on William and this whole situation.”
Vincent shook his head and spoke with a low voice.
“I’m so sorry, Comte. I feel like since I am the one that is closest to Will, that I should have seen this coming.  Clearly what he did was inexcusable, it’s just that I never perceived that he would be capable of such malice, especially towards someone as innocent as _____.  I know that she is yours but do understand that I care for her and what has happened to her and shaken me to my core.  I will do anything to keep her safe, even from William.”
Vincent had tears in his eyes, as he was speaking from a broken heart filled with regret.  As they looked each other in the eyes, Comte could see Vincent’s true honest and empathetic nature towards what had happened.  He grabbed Vincent’s shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
“Thank you, Vincent, your words mean a lot to me.  I have a favor to ask you, pertaining to what happened tonight.”
“Absolutely, anything. Just say the word and it’s done.”
“I still need someone to guard my room.  _____ is still asleep and recovering from her injuries.  I want to ensure that she is kept safe and if she needs any medical attention, that you get Arthur for her.”
“I’ll head upstairs immediately then.  Thank you, Comte.” Vincent said, laying a hand across his chest.
“No, thank you Vincent.” Comte replied with a sad smile.
Vincent headed upstairs, leaving Leonardo and Comte alone in the dining room.  An indignant Leonardo loomed over Comte, who still sat at the dining table.
“What do you have to say Leonardo?  I can practically feel you seething with anger.”
“Listen closely, you ingrate, cuz I have a lot to say about what happened to _____ tonight.”
Comte already knew what Leonardo was going to say, but he felt he deserved the backlash that Leonardo was about to unleash upon him.  He slowly stood up and faced one of his oldest friends.  Leonardo continued his barrage, his voice rising in volume.
“I’m sure _____ told you sweet things upstairs.  Nonsense probably, saying how this was not your fault and how you shouldn’t feel guilty. But I am here to set you straight. Everything that happened here tonight is entirely your fault.  How many times did I tell you that William was no good?  How many times did I tell you that you should be keeping a closer eye on him?”
Leonardo took a couple steps closer to Comte.  His forehead was creased and his adrenaline was flowing as he continued to speak his mind, agitation and contempt filling his voice.
“You should not have let him go.  Every time we cross paths, the man becomes more and more crazy.  I know you kept saying that I was biased because Will and I hate each other, but now everything has come to a head.  I was right about Will.  He is dangerous, and you were the one that brought him to this time and allowed him the free reigns to do as he pleases.  And now what?!  He hurt _____, because of your lackadaisical attitude!”
“DON’T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT?!” Comte yelled.  “Don’t you think I know that it’s my fault that _____ was attacked.  I know now that I should have heeded your warnings, but I never thought that he would stoop to such mad actions.”
Leonardo’s expression cooled upon hearing his friend admit that he was right.  He spoke the next words without any combativeness, only with the intention to alert Comte to what needed to be done.
“You need to decide that you are willing to do what is necessary to stop William.  You need to drop this pretend life of nobility and think about what needs to be done to stop him.  Can you do it?  Will you do it?  Like you said to everyone earlier, this is your responsibility.”
Comte had a stoic expression on his face.  His golden eyes were hard and dull, as he understood clearly what he might have to do in order to keep you safe.  He had long ago banished that lifestyle, but he now realized that he had given too much trust to the playwright.  Comte looked Leonardo in the eyes.
“I understand, I will take whatever action is needed to stop Will.  I hope I still have your support.”
“Always.” Leonardo replied.
The two purebloods looked at each other, their actions now pointed toward a common goal.  To stop William…by any means necessary.
Thanks for reading!  The fourth chapter should be out next week!  :)

Chapter 4:  To Catch a Villain
The two purebloods stared at each other in a somber silence.  The gravity of the situation was growing more urgent as time ticked on, it was a moment that held the possibility of extreme danger.  Leonardo opened his mouth and spoke in a hushed voice.
“We still have that man in the basement, what are we going to do about him?”
Comte’s expression changed. This was a whole new dilemma.  He had a mansion full of vampires, and there was a human in his basement.  A human that Leonardo had just assaulted in your defense.
“We need to go down there and see to it that he does not find out our secret.  If he catches wind that we are vampires, it could spell doom for everyone that resides here.  We will question him about _____ and William.  Hopefully, William had enough sense to not give them any hints about our true nature.”
Leonardo nodded in agreement and followed Comte in the direction of the basement.
Meanwhile, in the dark streets of Paris, the three vampires headed straight for the pub.  Arthur was leading the way, seeing as he was the one that frequented the bar almost every night.
“We’re going to go in there and try to find out as much information as possible.  Remember, the two bloke’s names are Jacques and Pierre. Leonardo took care of Pierre, so we are still on the lookout for Jacques, and of course any information on William.”

 Chapter 5: Blood Revenge
Back at the mansion, Vincent had made his way up the stairs and was silently approaching Comte’s room. His head was still filled with the events of the night and the disbelief that William could act so heinously. When he got to the door, he raised his hand and knocked quietly on the door.  He heard no response and turned the doorknob to peek inside of the room. He could see your sleeping form on the bed and slipped inside, closing the door behind him.  He approached the bed and pulled one of the nearby chairs to sit down.  He took the moment to observe your state.
He started at the crown of your head, looking intently at the bandage that Arthur had placed on your head; it was tinted red with spots of blood.  Your neck was colored in purple, crimson, and yellow; the indications of bruising from being choked by Jacques.  Your body shook in your sleep, mumbling incoherently.  It looked as if you were having a nightmare.  Your breathing began to quicken, alarming Vincent. You began to toss and turn, flailing your arms into the air.  Vincent quickly took hold of your hands and held them tight.  The feeling of being grabbed awoke you, as your eyes darted around in fear.  Upon seeing Vincent, you sighed a breath of relief.  Vincent smiled warmly at you and began to speak.
“How are you feeling _______?”
“I’m doing okay, considering the circumstances.  I’m still in a bit of shock at everything that happened though.”
Vincent looked at you sadly. He squeezed your hands gently and gave you a soft smile, but his eyes showed remorse and regret.
“I’m so sorry _______, I feel partially responsible for all of this.”
You quickly locked eyes with him, your eyebrows furrowing in disapproval.
“Vincent, why do you think that you have any fault in what happened?  It wasn’t you that did this to me.”
Vincent let go of one of your hands to rub the back of his neck.  The skin around his eyes began to bunch as his stare became pained.  He turned his face away from you and whispered quietly.
“I should have known. I could have stopped Will if I had only realized…”.
His voice trailed off as he began to weep quietly, clenching your hand tighter.  You felt as if your heart was breaking as you watched Vincent, racked with a guilt that he didn’t need to carry.  Watching Vincent in anguish made the back of your throat hurt even more, as you tried to suppress the new growing pain.  Vincent pressed his trembling lips together, in an attempt to stop the tears that kept falling in his mental distress.  You squeezed his hand to reassure him.   He looked up at you as you began to speak.
“Vincent, William had everyone around him fooled.  Comte feels the same way that you do, he feels like he should have been able to prevent this.  But the truth of the matter is that you cannot always control what others do.”
“It’s not that simple, _______”. Vincent said with a downturned mouth.  He took a deep breath and continued.
“I had told William about you before, how much I care for you.  How much we all care for you. He did this even realizing how much you mean to me…I consider him my close friend, but I feel betrayed.”
“Oh Vincent, I wish you didn’t feel this way.  I don’t want you to burden yourself over what he did.”
Vincent smiled weakly at you.
“I have something to confess. Will told me that he was working on a new play, a play that would put all his other works to shame.  He seemed excited to work on a project that as he put it, ‘Would change how everyone views the theatre’.  He wanted to revolutionize the world with this new chance he had been given as a vampire, but I expect things have not turned out how he originally intended.  I don’t want to hate him, I want to hope that there is still a chance for redemption, but not at the cost of those I love being hurt.”  You looked at Vincent, with a realization.
“Vincent, in the future William’s name is known all throughout the world.  He is even more famous that Arthur.  He already has transformed how humans view theatrical plays and the English language itself.  His contributions to society are priceless.”
Your words brought a smile to Vincent’s face as he wiped away tears from his cheeks.
“Really?  He thinks that he didn’t accomplish anything like that.”
Vincent’s compassion moved you and scared you.  Even in the face of being deceived by one of his closest friends, he still clearly wished good and kind things for William.  But Will was also the same man that had sent Jacques and Pierre after you. You looked at Vincent with a wavering smile but inside felt your stomach sink.  Vincent noticed your conflicted stare and spoke in a firm voice.
“Don’t worry _______. I still do care for William, but my priority now is you.  I won’t let anything happen to you, even if it means facing off William.”  A calm washed over Vincent, softening his features. You both shared a warm smile, enveloped in the peace of each other’s company.
Downstairs, Comte and Leo were heading towards the basement.  Comte opened the basement door, dust drifting out in a small cloud near the floor.  His took his first step down into the biting air of the basement, listening to Pierre’s hiccups and whimpering sobs.    The two purebloods came to the bottom and took in the sight of Pierre.  He was still chained to the wall, blood on his clothes, and in obvious pain.  His pathetic appearance did nothing to incite compassion from the two old friends. Comte crossed his arms as he stood in front of the human.  Pierre looked at the two vampires in the dim light of the basement.  Blood spurted out of his mouth as he began to plead.
“Please!  Please let me go, I had no idea-” Comte cut him off as he closed in on Pierre, baring his fangs in anger.
“You knew exactly what you were doing!  It would be an awfully bad idea to lie to me right now.  You are in no position to negotiate for anything.  So, tell me, why did William do this?!”
Comte slammed his hand on the wall next to Pierre’s head, cracking the stone.  Pierre’s body shook in fear, his breath a mixture of sniveling and hyperventilation.
“I - DON’T - KNOW!  I REALLY DON’T KNOW, PLEASE!”  he screamed.  His eyes were red as big salty tears rolled down his blood-stained cheeks. His chest hitched as he continued to sob uncontrollably.  As Comte’s face neared him, he tried his best to shrink himself into the wall, to no avail. There was no where he could go, he was at Comte’s mercy, of which Comte had none to give.
Leonardo came up behind Comte to peer at Pierre’s trembling form.  Upon seeing Leonardo’s face Pierre began to mumble to himself.
“God, please help me! Oh God please, this can’t be!”
Leonardo let out a small laugh, his voice deepening at he spoke.
“God can’t help you here, bastardo.  You have two demons to contend with for what you did.  Tell us everything you know about William, NOW!” Leonardo held his chin high, growing more irritated by Pierre’s despondent nature.  He peered meekly up at the two purebloods.  His voice was thick as he choked out his words.
“Please…. I - I just do what Jacques says.  All I know is that William is the Englishman that gave us the information we needed. He met with us a couple days ago at the pub.  He said that he had been watching us for a while and that he knew how we could get our money back.  Please that really is all I know!”  Pierre could feel the heat behind his eyes as he attempted to bargain with Comte and Leonardo.
Comte looked back at Leonardo with cold hard eyes.
“Leave us.” The steely words left no space for negotiation as Comte took a step back to view Pierre in his entirety.
Leonardo’s eyebrow shot up as a small smile crept onto his face, his eyes glistening.
“About time.” Leonardo and Comte shared a knowing nod.
As Leonardo approached the basement stairs, he took one last look at Pierre.
“If anyone cared anything about you, they would wish you luck, because you’re going to need it.” Leonardo ascended the stairs, leaving Comte alone with Pierre.
Comte cracked his knuckles as he stared at Pierre with flat eyes.  His heart was pounding as the veins in his head pulsed.  A dangerous aura began to fill the room as Pierre began to fall further into despair.
Comte observed Pierre closely, staring at his disheveled state.  Comte lowered his voice.
“Tell me… have you ever thought about how you were going…to…die?” His voice was a deep gravel as he took a step closer to Pierre.
Pierre broke out in a cold sweat, his face turned pale, visible even in the dim light of the basement. His lips trembled as Comte came slowly ever closer.  He screamed in a shrill voice.
“NOOO, PLEASE DON’T HURT ME!!”  He looked around the basement frantically, searching for help that would not come. Pierre shut his eyes tightly while his body shook uncontrollably.
Upon hearing his words, Comte once again bared his fangs to Pierre as he boomed his words laced with pure venom.
“Don’t hurt you?  DON’T HURT YOU?!  YOU CAME TO MY HOME AND INJURED MY FRIEND. AND ABOVE ALL, YOU HARMED THE WOMAN I LOVE!”
Comte’s thoughts blanked out in the midst of his rage.  All he knew was that Pierre would pay for what he did to you and Sebastian.
“There is nothing that you can do to free yourself from me!”  Comte hit the wall behind Pierre again, punching a hole straight through the stone, causing dust to fill the air around them.  Pierre stared wide eyed at the vampire.  Comte put his hand on Pierre’s throat and began to squeeze tightly.
“I had never intended on drinking fully from a human again, but for your sins, I’ll make an exception.” He could smell the blood pumping through his veins, just underneath the skin.  Comte plunged his fangs into the crook of Pierre’s neck and shoulder and began to drink.
Pierre blinked his eyes quickly, the muscles in his neck attempting to fight the invasion of Comte’s drawn out bite.  No sound came out of Pierre as his life force was drawn out from his body, a necessary payment for his transgressions.  The pain, that started out roaring in his body, had slowed to a low hum….until there was nothing left in the cool dry basement except for the pureblood.
And silence.
In the city, Arthur, Napoleon, and Theo headed quickly in the direction of the cobbler shop.  It was only a few streets over, and they were hoping to find Jacques or William in the residence above the shop.  The three vampires came to the end of the alley, across from the cobbler shop and looked both ways down the street, lest they be seen by prying eyes.  Their actions were unnecessary, for this was the time of night when most Parisians were tucked away in their warm beds at home.  There was a light on above the shop, and there could be seen the silhouette of a man.  Arthur spoke first, in a low hushed voice.
“All right, we need to ensure that he doesn’t escape.  Napoleon, stay here and guard the front door.  Theo, head around the back of the shop just in case he tries to divert us that way.  I’m going to go inside and try to see if I can find any more information.  If you hear any loud noises, come inside, it might mean that things have taken a wrong turn.  Although I don’t see how one human can possibly contend with a vampire.”
The other two vampires looked on with a curt nod of agreement.  Napoleon posted up in the alley as he watched Arthur and Theo cross the road.  At the corner of the shop, Theo and Arthur split up, Arthur entering the front entrance, and Theo making his way to the rear door through another alley.
Arthur stilled his breath and stealthily climbed up the narrow spiral staircase.  He reached the top of the landing and could see the light pouring out from underneath the wooden door.  He crept up to the door and could hear muffled sounds coming from inside. He took a careful step forward, causing the floorboard to squeak slightly underneath his weight.  Arthur froze in place, waiting several seconds to see if he was found out.  Pressing his ear up to the door, he could hear Jacques speaking.
“That fucking bitch, she got me in my money maker!”  A scoff could be heard in response to Jacques, making Arthur freeze once again.
“There is someone else in the room!” Arthur thought.  This was going to make capturing Jacques all the more difficult.
Jacques was not amused as he tended to his still sore crotch.
“Whaddya laughing at, huh?! This is all your fault anyways! You and your stupid tragedy shit.”
Jacques words hit Arthur like a ton of bricks.
“No way!  It’s William, he’s in the room with Jacques!”
William sneered at Jacques’ response.
“Ah, frailty, it appears that thy name is not woman after all.”
“Shaddup!”
“Jacques, I think we must retire our conversation for another time.  It appears that we have an uninvited guest.”  William said as he turned towards the door with a smirk, both vampires anticipating that the game of cat and mouse was surely about to begin.
