Devastated to hear of Bowie’s passing. I know somewhere he’s dancing and singing with Freddie Mercury… and some goblins. :)

Here is my humble tribute to David Bowie and how he first made a huge impact on me like so many 80′s kids. We wore out our VHS tape of Labyrinth. I didn’t even know he was David Bowie, I just knew I was completely mesmerized by the magnetic force of Jareth. He was both terrifying and alluring at the same time. We’ll miss you, David Bowie!

Good. Still iffy on a sequel, but this is better than a reboot.

hi!! sorry I may be getting my info wrong, but I thought it was confirmed to be a sequel?? at least in that case one could hope that the goblin king there (assuming they kept that role as the primary element to the labyrinth series) wouldn't have to necessarily be Jareth himself
yes, that’s what I’ve read too. Sorry if that last post i put up was confusing - reboot makes it sound like a remake.
that’s true, they could completely ditch jareth’s character. im going to be honest, and i’m sure there are some who don’t agree, but i don’t want anyone else playing him. i don’t want another jareth. so maybe having a new goblin king/queen is for the best.
Anyways, until they release more information, plot and storyline wise, most people are going to be hesitant about the sequel because there are so many ways this can go and most of them (at least in my mind) are not good.

The idea of a Labyrinth reboot makes me so mad because the reason that the Goblin King was so iconic was because he was played by David Bowie

Sony: You know how we can honour David Bowies memory? By remaking Labyrinth so it's no longer relevant to him
Sony: ...and we can forget Jim Henson as well by replacing his creatures with CGI!

@eitherangel asked me if I could draw Jareth… and I ended up with a nice polished work :3
