Itty Bitty Update
Okay, so we're halfway through October and Halloween will soon be upon us.
And I just have to say that I'll be taking a short break(?), but not a hiatus.
I'll still be continuing the rest of fictober but at a really slow pace. (Considering I started this with like 15 or so days at the ready and now I'm left with like nothing sdfhds.)
Same excuse as usual. I'm busy with studies at the moment too so updates will be really really Slow. So excuse me if I can't publish anything on Halloween.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I love you all for reading my works. ;)
(If y'all ever need anyone to talk too, I'm open. Just leaving this here!)

Day 19 (Demi Bourbon x Reader)
("Secrets? I love secrets." - Day 19)
"...Demi, please. We have to finish at least one cipher."
You pleaded as you leaned your head away from the intoxicated woman, your hands not leaving the cipher machine in front of you.
Demi Bourbon had her arms wrapped loosely around your waist, and her head resting on your shoulder, "But (Y/n), what's the rush? I mean we have plenty of time to spare, why not we get to know each other?" She drawled out with a grin.
She was one of the newest survivors to join the roster. She has a unique skillset too! Though, that skillset makes her drunk throughout the match. You were one of the nearest teammates she had bumped into, so she decided to stick to you.
"Look, Demi, I'll..." An idea suddenly popped into your head, like a lightbulb turning on. "I'll tell you a secret if you help me work on this cipher." Your offer got her interest as she lifted her head off of your shoulder and turned to look at you.
"Secrets? I love secrets. You know how to push my buttons, darling." She gently nudged you to work on the side of the cipher while she worked on the front.
After a while, she let out a small whine. "This is so boring," You ignored her whine and continued to decode. It wasn't until she placed a hand on yours and squeezed it, "I'm sorry if I'm such a mess right now." She apologized as tears started to appear at the corner of her eyes. "I love to drink. It reminds me of all those good times I had,"
At this point, Demi was sobbing. Her hands were off of the cipher and reaching for her bottle of liquor. "I'm so sorry!"
You let out a yelp as an electric burst from the cipher machine shocked your fingertips. You were more concerned over your new friend, who was experiencing a small outburst.
"H-hey, stop crying. It's alright! Let's hurry and go somewhere safe..." That burst from the machine and the sound of Demi's crying was sure to have alerted the hunter. You need to relocate both of you to another cipher and fast, who knows when the hunter would arrive.
You grabbed her free arm and slung it over your shoulders, starting to guide her away. You thought it would be easy to relocate, but you thought wrong.
A sudden brave shout from Demi made you flinch in shock. "Oy! Geisha, Michiko, or whatever! Come and get us if you dare! Wooo!!" You paled at her words. Is she nuts?!
Before you could clamp your hand over her mouth to keep her quiet, she dodged it and pushed the mouth of her bottle to your lips, forcing you to take a couple of swigs of the alcohol.
"Drink up, (Y/n)! We need all the liquid courage we can get!" A mildly bitter and burning liquid entered your mouth, giving you an uncomfortable sensation. Not having any other option, you drank the liquor, feeling it burn your throat on its way down.
If you remembered, one of her brews is meant to give you a tiny speed boost. Maybe it was this one. It didn't take long for the alcohol to kick in. Your cheeks felt hot, and your body was burning up.
"Alright! Let's go!" Demi cheered and linked arms with you, pulling you along down the halls of White Sand Street Asylum. Meanwhile, Michiko stood at the end of the hallway, watching worriedly as you two raced off.
~
At the end of the match, Patricia and Eli stood at the opened exit gate. Eli looked worried while Patricia tapped her foot on the ground, impatient. "What's taking those two so long? None of them got injured throughout the entire match." Patricia muttered as she shooed away the crows that had started to fly around them. "Go away!"
Eli raised an eyebrow under his blindfold, turning to look in the direction of Michiko. "Michiko's coming... With (Y/n) and Demi. Didn't she try to attack you earlier in the match?"
A quick nod from Patricia confirmed it as she gripped her skull, ready to go and stun her; But the sight of Michiko walking in with both you and Demi tied to balloons stopped her.
"I suggest you get these two back to the Manor and sober them up," Michiko advised and handed the balloons over to Eli before rubbing her forehead. "Chasing two drunk people in an asylum is not ideal..."
"We're not that drunk!" Demi blurted out. She reached a finger out and poked you on the cheek, "Right, (Y/n)?"
You managed out a groan as you swatted her hand away from you lazily, "... Ugh, Everything's all dizzy and loud. Are we back at the Manor yet? Where's Michiko?"
"We'll get them back to the Manor safe and sound, don't worry," Eli reassured Michiko all while Patricia tried to handle two drunk survivors.

Day 18 (Norton Campbell x Reader)
("I'm with you. You know that." - Day 18)
In the big ship of Lakeside Village, you and Norton peeked over the forward sheer, examining Fiona's situation. She is tied down to a chair and struggling against her bonds while Mary lurked close by, brandishing her mirror shard.
"It's too dangerous. Mary's camping close by." Norton said while gripping one of his magnets. It was too risky.
"It is, but we can't risk losing one of us this early on. With your magnets, it should make the rescue easier." You had a plan formed out in your mind and a determined look in your eyes. "You could stun Mary. I'll go in for the rescue and take a hit for Fiona."
You hoped Norton would agree with your plan, but instead, he shook his head at you. "No, I don't think so. It's better if we go and decode. It's too risky out there," He got up and headed towards the cipher on the big ship. "Come on."
"Fine, you can decode. I'll go in for the save." You couldn't help but direct a look of slight disappointment at Norton before taking your leave, rushing on down the stairs to not alert Mary of you coming to Fiona's aid.
Norton reached his hand out, wanting to stop you from going, but he was too late. "Ugh..." He placed both his hands on his face as he let out a groan of frustration; His mind suddenly bringing up the horrid memories of the mining accident.
"What if it happens again?" He mumbled to himself and crouched down by the cipher. "They're all going to die and because of my decisions." He knew you and Fiona wouldn't die, but get sent back to the Manor, yet he knew it would still be his fault for not assisting in the rescue. "Idiot!"
In his head, he could hear dynamite going off, and the screams of his late colleagues echoing around. "That's it!" Norton quickly steeled his resolve and ran after you. He was not going to leave another friend for dead, not this time.
Ducking behind one of the large rocks, you peeked from around the corner. Mary still stood menacingly in front of Fiona, awaiting her next prey. "This is going to be difficult," You thought to yourself, but you shrugged off your jitters and prepared yourself to run in for the rescue.
Before you stepped out, a hand quickly grabbed on to your wrist and pulled you back. "(Y/n)." Norton did his best to catch his breath as quietly as possible. "I'm not letting you go alone on this. I'm with you, you know that." His usual bright smile appeared on his lips once again, "Even though there's a good chance that the both of us will get chaired."
You shook your head at his negative comment and flicked him on the forehead. "We're not going to get chaired. Just follow my plan and we'll all make it out alive!"

Day 17 (Joseph Desaulnier x Reader)
("Change is annoyingly difficult." - Day 17)
In the library of Oletus Manor, Joseph sat comfortably in his usual armchair by the fireplace with an old-aged novel in one hand, and the other loosely intertwined with your warm hand. You had your head leaned back against his chest, and your facial features were relaxed; Indicating that you were fast asleep.
The armchair was large enough for both of you to sit in it. Of course, Joseph had tried to tempt you to sit on his lap instead, but you declined. Sitting this close to him was already enough to make your cheeks and the tips of your ears red.
Joseph hadn't known that you had fallen asleep as he continued to read his book. When he heard you mutter his name, he let out a small hum of acknowledgment. He awaited your question or sentence, but it never came.
"Asleep, I suppose." He thought to himself before returning to his book, thumbing through several pages. But before he could read a word, he heard you mumble his name again.
"Joseph..."
His blue eyes flitted from his book down to your form. An eyebrow arched in curiosity as he glanced back at his book, memorizing the page he was on before setting it on a nearby table. Did he hear you utter his name in your sleep?
Without disturbing you too much, he rested his head on top of yours and patiently waited for you to say something else.
"...I love you," You mumbled out in your sleep as a small smile appeared on your lips, your head nudging against his chest.
A light blush appeared on Joseph's cheeks as he wrapped his arm around your waist, the hand holding yours tightened its grip.
He met you months ago in a match, and it snowballed from there. Rushing back to present times, you and he were in a relationship, but a secretive one. A hunter and a survivor falling in love with each other was an unspoken taboo in the Manor.
Joseph let out a quiet but frustrated sigh, "This change is annoyingly difficult," And it was. Rendezvousing with you in neutral hunter-survivor areas, trying hard not to be biased in matches, and most important of all, trying not to rough you up too much.
At times, he had wondered if this relationship was even worth all these changes. But when he looks down at your sleeping form, he removed his arm from around your waist and raised his hand to your face, brushing away loose strands of your hair.
"Everything is worth it for you, Mon amour." He hummed out, gently pressing kisses to your closed eyelids. "Time to wake up~."

Day 16 (Gamekeeper & Reader)
(This is the longest fictober i've ever written XD Everything here is neutral and all fluff. The next day will be better!)
("We could have a chance." - Day 16)
"We could have a chance..."
You trailed off as you eyed your other friends. You were back to back with Gamekeeper; Meaning, you were paired with him for this little minigame Jack had set up for survivors and hunters alike.
Jack had an idea one day. With Miss Nightingale's help and some strings pulled, he was able to set up this minigame called Blackjack. This game was meant to keep the survivors on their toes as well as entertain the hunters. For it to work, he asked each hunter to pair up with a survivor that they hate the least or get along with the most.
Fortunately for you, Gamekeeper decided to pair up with you for this match, which shocked you immensely. Didn't he hate everyone?
Gamekeeper let out a small grunt at your quiet comment as he sat in his seat with his arms crossed. "Who else is in the match?" You had a quick look around and whispered to him the people who had chosen to participate in today's Blackjack match with you.
"Aesop, Lucky, Kevin, and Emma, I can't see the hunters though, it's way too dark." You said and waved a quick hello to your friends. Gamekeeper didn't say much after that and waited for the match to start.
Once the match started, with survivors entering first, you watched as the world turned black and white; Mirroring Joseph's photo world. Jack stood in front of you and held out your first card, "Good luck, my dear. Don't forget, the person with the highest number will be the hunter." He reminded you before he disappeared.
When the world regained color, you rushed off to the nearest cipher. "I got one. I should be fine." You mumbled to yourself and started to work on the cipher. That was until Lucky ran up to you.
"Hey, (Y/n)!" He greeted you before he started to help you on the cipher. "What number did you get?" He looked a bit wary as he glanced at you. That look quickly turned into one of shock when you revealed to him your card number, "Wait? Crud..."
Just as you were about to ask him what was wrong, black mist instantly surrounded his form. You booked it. Lucky had the highest number! You were curious as to know which Hunter paired up with him, but you would like to know at a safe distance! The transformation was soon complete, and you could feel your heartbeat pick up.
Daring a look behind you, the sight of Michiko shuffling after you made you run even faster. "Wait! Please, (Y/n)! It's just one hit!" She called out after you, her fan at the ready to knock you out.
"No! I'm winning this with Gamekeeper! Go find someone else to knock down!"
You kept running and dodging Michiko until she managed to catch up to you. After knocking you down, she gently picked you up and brushed off the dust on your clothes. "I'm sorry..." She quietly said as she held out her card, waiting for you to take it.
"It's okay. It happens," You plucked that card from Michiko's hand and watched as the world warped back into black and white. "With this high number, I'm going to be the hunter for sure."
Just as you said that; A black mist enveloped you, and taking your place in the game now was Gamekeeper. Lucky quickly ran on out of there, not wanting to be in the range of his hook. The last thing he wanted was to be the hunter again.
"Time to hunt," Gamekeeper huffed to himself as he started to roam around in search of any nearby survivors. Walking by a few pallets, he had his hand on his hook while Kevin crouched behind a pallet, hoping that Gamekeeper would walk on by and ignore him.
Kevin peeked out from the side, but he quickly shrunk back when a hook came flying at him. "Can't believe you're paired up with (Y/n)! Here I thought you would live a life of solitude!" He taunted Gamekeeper as he started to run away. He had his hand on his lasso, ready to turn around and attempt to counter the hook.
When he heard Gamekeeper whirling around his hook, Kevin quickly turned around and started to twirl his lasso too. Right now, both males were in a stand-off, glaring at each other.
"What do you think they're doing?" Emma curiously asked as she eyed the two males while working on a cipher. Right next to her was Aesop, who spared a glance at both of them and shrugged. He had no idea what was going between them, but he had no interest in finding out.
The stare-down went down for quite a while until a bell rang throughout the map. That signaled the end of the second round as Gamekeeper was quickly switched out for you. "Kevin? What the heck are you standing here for?" You questioned him. Throughout the whole round, you got stuck in a waiting room of sorts. You couldn't do anything except wait for your turn again.
Since it was your turn again, you were confused, why was Kevin standing in front of you twirling his lasso? Did Gamekeeper do something weird?
You didn't have much time to ponder about that before Ripper handed you a card. Luckily this time, you weren't going to be switched out! Before you could reflect on your earlier questions, you felt a lasso wrap around your waist and pull you towards Kevin. "Hey! Let go of me!"
Kevin had you settled on his shoulder as he made a run for the nearest cipher, but you weren't having any of that. You struggled out of his hold and brushed yourself off, "Okay, what is wrong with you!? What did GameKeeper do, huh?" You asked him with a frown and walked next to him. You didn't know whether he had one of those shuffle or exchange cards to use on you, so you were wary.
"...The big guy didn't do anything. Y'know what, focus on decoding." That just made you curious. What the heck did these two men do, but you did what he said though and focused on decoding.
The next thing you knew, a few rounds were over, and you were entering the final round with only you and Kevin still standing. Unluckily for you, Kevin had an exact 21 which forced GameKeeper to take your place in the game, again.
"Back at this again, big boy?" Kevin and Gamekeeper were back at it again, swinging their items at each other.
"We're winning this match, whether you like it or not." Gamekeeper growled at him as he charged up his attack, swinging his hook first. He caught Kevin off guard and managed to knock him down in one hit, a smirk hidden by his deer mask. "Game over, cowboy."
Returning to the main waiting room, you ran up to Gamekeeper with a big grin on your lips. "Great job! We won this match!" You cheered happily and felt proud that the most unlikely duo of this match had won.
Uncharacteristically of Bane, he placed a hand on your head and gently tousled up your hair before walking off towards the exit that leads straight back to the hunters' side of the manor. "Farewell then, until next time." He grunted out to you, which left you with a happy feeling. You can still look forward to teaming up with Gamekeeper in future games like these.

Day 15 (Naib Subedar x Reader)
(”Scared, me?” - Day 15)
"Scared, me? Don't make me laugh." Naib scoffed as he was seated right next to you, his arms hugging his knees close to his chest. You were in the same position as him, your shoulder bumping against his.
A sly grin appeared on your lips. "Really? What if I do this," You started to knock and tap at the metal walls of the locker, increasingly getting louder.
Naib grabbed your hands and held them close together, "Shut up! He could have heard us!" He whispered at you. Just as he said that the both of you could hear your heartbeats pick up. You two immediately fell quiet.
"Shouldn't we get out of the closet? If he finds us in here. We're dead, you know?" You said quietly. One of you would be able to get away, but the other would get caught. Naib thought it over and released your hands, reaching out to push open the locker doors instead.
"I guess we should. We go our separate ways when we get out, okay?" You didn't have time to agree with his decision before the locker doors opened, but it wasn't Naib who initiated it. He quickly pushed you over and used his body to block yours; Waiting for the hit to come, but it didn't.
You let out a startled groan as you fell back against the locker wall, your hands pressing against his chest. "Ow..." You reached a hand back to rub the back of your head while Naib glanced over his shoulder, glaring at the person who opened the locker.
"What the hell, Vera!" He whisper-yelled at her. She blocked the entrance of the locker, a smug grin on her lips as she assessed the position that both you and Naib were stuck in.
"Well~ you two look like you're having fun." She then slowly closed the locker doors, "I'll leave you two lovebirds to it! I'll lead the Ripper as far away as I can." With that, Vera was off. You could hear her giggling to herself as she ran.
Naib let out an angry breath of relief before he turned back around to look at you. The tips of his ears and his cheeks went red. He had you caged in due to his arms, and he now noticed your hands pressing against his chest. Your face was equally red as you looked the other way.
 "Mind getting off now?.."
 "Y-yeah, sure."
Just as he was about to move off of you, the locker doors opened; Both of your hearts beating. Yours and Naib's eyes were wide open in shock as the both of you stared at the Ripper, who stared back at you two. It was silent for a few seconds before he reaches his hand to his face, rubbing his forehead.
"There's a time and a place for everything, you two. A locker in the middle of a match is not ideal." He chastised before pulling you and Naib out of the locker. He swiftly tied balloons to Naib and nudged you to go on. "Go on, my dear. Mr.Subedar and I need to have a small talk."
"NO, WE DON'T! PUT ME DOWN!" Naib started to struggle and flail around. You could only stand there looking shocked as you watched Ripper walk away with Naib.
(this is extra)
"Hey, wait! Get back here! We want the 4-person win!" You cried out and chased after them, ready to tackle Jack if you had to.

Day 14 (Naib Subedar x Reader)
( "Yes, I admit it. You were right." - Day 14)
 "Alright, (Y/n). Truth or dare?"
Seated at the smaller dining table in the waiting room, you and your three teammates started to play Truth or Dare to pass the time while waiting for the match's hunter to arrive.
Your teammates consisted of William, Naib, and Margaretha. All of them had unanimously chosen William to be the first person. After a thorough scan of his fellow teammates, he focused his eyes on you and smugly asked you truth or dare. "Well, are you going to be a chicken and pick truth?" He taunted you.
Taking the bait while feeling annoyed, you crossed your arms and stared at William challengingly. "I pick dare. Come on, hit me with your worst." That's it. No going back now, you can only hope that whatever dare that comes out of his mouth won't hurt your pride.
He took quite a while before he snapped his fingers, "I dare you... to exchange items with Naib." Both Naib and your eyes met then flicked back to William. "That cool with you?" He asked Naib, who looked a bit uncertain but took off his elbow pads.
"It's fine with me. These are going to be hard to use. I hope you know that." Naib warned you as he pushed his elbow pads towards you while you did the same with your item.
You equipped the elbow pads like how Naib would and eyed them. You've found them a few times in chests, but you don't use them as much. "Same to you, Naib. It should be easy to use your elbow pads. You have to be close against the wall and run, right?" Naib rolled his eyes at your words.
"It's not that easy to use. I'm telling you now, (Y/n), try not to run into any walls." The game continued after that first dare. It ended once Geisha or Michiko strolled in to take a seat in the usual hunter waiting area. "Good luck," Naib said, directing it at you mostly.
Once the match had started, you were found by Michiko first and started to run away. By instinct, you reached for your object before remembering that you had swapped with Naib. "Guess I have to use these." You quickly ran to the closest wall and activated the elbow pads.
Michiko could only watch as you launched yourself off one wall towards another, head bumping against the wall. She folded up her fan and walked over to you, pulling you close to her. "I thought you usually use something else, (Y/n), I never expected you to use Naib's elbow pads." She commented while bringing you to the nearest rocket chair.
Once she had you tied down, she quickly went away to search for your other teammates. You let out a small huff as you leaned back against the chair. Okay, maybe it wasn't as easy as you thought it was to use Naib's item.
It didn't take long before you saw Naib running up to your chair and begin untying you, "So, is it easy to use my elbow pads now?" He teasingly asked you as he handed you back your item and started to work on removing his elbow pads from you. "I'll be taking those back then. No sense in throwing this match just because of one dumb dare."
"Yes, I admit it. You were right. It wasn't easy," You held your arms up and assisted Naib. "You have to teach me how to use those, so I don't have to run into walls again." You ended your sentence with a small chuckle as you hugged your item close.
"I'll teach you when we have the time. Now, we have to start running before Michiko comes back." Naib looped his arm with yours and quickly pulled you along, ready to protect you from any incoming hits. You were grateful for that.
An idea suddenly hit you as you leaned in closer to him. "Hey, Naib..." When he let out a little huh to show you that he was listening, you gave him a tiny peck on his cheek. "Thanks for coming to save me~."

Day 13 (Luchino x Reader)
(”I could really eat something.” - Day 13)
Getting caught early in the match, you were annoyed. You continued to struggle against your restraints, rolling and doing the breaststroke.
"Hey, quit it! It wasn't easy catching you!" Luchino hissed out, giving the strings a tug to try and get you to stop. He picked up his pace and headed straight for the nearest rocket chair. With his weapon, he tugged you down and popped the balloons; Throwing you on to the chair, giving you a good shake.
Before you had the chance to recover, he tied you down to the chair. You started to take deep breaths to calm down. Staying calm as best as you can is the best way to slow down the time for the rocket chair to blast off, but Luchino wasn't having any of that.
He hissed at you, right in your face, and watched in glee as you flinched back in fear and disgust.
"Ugh... I'm already strapped down to the chair! What more could you want from me?!"
It was silent for a moment. You were glaring harshly at Luchino as he stared back at you in amusement. He placed his scaly hand on top of your head, messing up your hair as he lets out a sinister chuckle. "You're just buying your friends some time. Someone's coming to save you anyways. I bet it's Martha. She's the only rescuer today." He hissed out, turning his head towards one of the many openings; Prepared to block her flare gun's shot.
You let out an angry huff. You had no problem being the sacrifice, but you still hope someone comes to your rescue before Luchino messes with you some more.
The more time passed, the more anxious you got. Where was Martha? You started to tug on your cuffs and wiggled around in your ropes. You froze when Luchino slid a sharp claw down your cheek, guiding it slowly down your to your chin.
"Y'know~, I could really eat something right about now." He taunted. You thought it was a scare tactic because it sure was scaring you right now as he leaned in closer and closer.
You could feel his hot breath on your cheek and quickly squeezed your eyes shut, letting out a small whimper. Before he could do anything to you, both of you heard someone clear their throat, and Luchino turned around to see Martha standing behind him.
"You can eat this flare gun then," She said and fired her flare gun at him, effectively stunning him. Martha quickly untied you from the chair and guided you away to a more safer area, leaving Luchino behind to recover from the flare.
Once in a safer area, she pulled out a roll of bandages from her pocket and started to wrap any injuries you've sustained.
"Thanks for the save, Martha. Luchino was way too close for comfort."
"Yeah, I saw how close he was. He didn't take a bite out of your face, right?" Martha grabbed your cheeks and turned your head left and right, trying to search for a bite mark.
Your cheeks heated up, and you quickly pulled your head away from her hands. "No, he didn't! I would have punched him if he did..." A bite mark on your cheek is not fun to have, especially if it's from a reptile. "Listen, Martha. We don't talk about what happened, okay?"
"Uh-huh, I understand." She nodded along to your sentence and did a thumbs-up. "Now let's just split up, and don't get caught again. Who knows what else he could do to you.

Day 12 (William Ellis x Reader)
("That's what I'm talking about!" - Day12)
"So... You want to go for the rescue?" Lucky asked you, crouching by the chest as he did so. He was just about to open the chest to fish out something that could aid him in rescuing William, but then you ran up to him requesting that you wanted to save instead.
He thought it over before giving you a shrug, "Okay then. But you can't go empty-handed, or else it'll be easy for the hunter to get a hit at you. What do you need?" Lucky opened up the chest and started to rummage around, waiting for your response.
You let out a small hum of thought, "A football is good enough! Just need something to get me there fast!" Just as the name of the item flew out of your mouth, it was already in Lucky's hands as he held it out to you.
"Here you go! I'll go and find another chest and get something to back you up. See you later!"
After wishing you luck, he ran off in search of another chest while you tucked the football under your arm and ran towards the chair that William was tied too.
"Odd. Usually, there would be someone coming in for the rescue." Ripper hummed out as he finished his patrol around the area of William's chair. He couldn't see anyone coming at all. He looked down at the Forward, watching as he struggled. "Ah well, the easier this match will go for me then,"
William frowned and continued to struggle. He froze when he heard footsteps rushing towards them. The next thing he knew, you barrelled into the scene and pushed Ripper away. You made him crash into one of the brick walls, stunning both you and Ripper. "Yeah!! That's what I'm talking about!" William cheered out with a big grin.
"Okay... Now's not the time to be feeling this." You muttered to yourself as you stumbled your way back to William, rubbing your head. "Sorry for the late rescue..."
"Nah, it's alright! That was a great tackle! You rammed him straight to a wall!" He laughed out loud, watching as you untied him from the chair. Once he was free, he suddenly picked you up and tossed you over his shoulder. "Okay, let's get out of here before Ripper here comes to his senses!" You weren't going to complain.
Your head still felt dizzy, and everything was spinning. It was better to stick with William until everything stopped multiplying. "Wow... I must be extremely dizzy. I see two Rippers charging straight for us."
"(Y/n), he's hot on our heels! Come on, get a grip! I can't keep running with you on my shoulder forever!"
Alternate ending
You charged straight into the scene, but Ripper saw you in the nick of time and stepped to the side; Watching as you ran straight past him and crashed to the wall.
"...Now, this is pitiful." Ripper said, walking over to your form. He could see swirls in your eyes as he shook his head. "Aim a little bit to the left next time, dear." With that, two survivors were out of the match.

Day 11 (Non-canon backstory on Emma Woods)
("I can't come back." - Day 11)
"I can't come back," A large and burly man, named Leo Beck, said as he crouched in front of his daughter, Lisa Beck.
Lisa had a pout on her lips as she stared crossly at her father, "Why not? I want to stay with you!" She couldn't understand it. Why did her father have to leave her here? Why couldn't she follow him to wherever he had to go?
Leo let out a deep sigh before he placed his hands on her shoulders, giving her a reassuring but tight squeeze. "Daddy has some issues to settle, and I don't want you involved in any of it... That's why I'm dropping you off here." He said and turned her around to face the White Sand Street orphanage.
"You're going to make a lot of friends here! You can live a happier life. Just forget about daddy, alright?"
"NO!"
Lisa turned back around and stamped her foot on the ground, "I want to stay with you! I want to stay with you!" She chanted as angry tears started to drip down her cheeks. Leo looked around, noticing that they were drawing attention to themselves due to his daughter's tantrum.
To calm her down, he quickly pulled her into a hug and stroked the back of her head. That seemed to calm her down as she buried her face into his shoulder, sniffling.
"Lisa, listen to me okay? I...-I'll come back to you." He said uncertainly. It was clear he didn't mean what he said, but Lisa didn't notice as she stopped and stepped out of his hug; wiping her eyes. "It will take a while, but I promise I'll come back. Just be a good girl until then."
"Promise?" Lisa held out her pinky and stared her father down. She wanted him to promise that he really would come back for her, that's the point of the pinky promise after all.
Leo shook his head at his innocent daughter, but he reluctantly wrapped his pinky with hers. "Promise. I'll come back to you. Even if I have to hunt you down to find you," He said with a smile.

Day 10 (Aesop Carl x Reader)
("I never knew it could be this way." - Day 10)
In one of the quieter parts of the Manor, Aesop had one of his coffins laid out on the floor. But instead of a surrogate being inside, he was lying in there in its stead. You were crouching by the coffin with a bunch of yellow roses in your hand.
"You've never thought about lying in a coffin before?" You asked him as you began decorating the outer edges of the coffin with the roses. Meanwhile, Aesop, who's still in the coffin with his eyes closed, let out a thoughtful hum as he folded his hands on top of his stomach.
From the way he was positioned, you would have thought he was dead. "I've never thought about using a coffin in this way." He answered you as his eyes followed your hands, watching them place each rose down gently. "In my eyes, it's a carrier for the dead... If I should be honest, it does make me feel a bit uncomfortable lying in here."
You let out a soft chuckle before you held your hand out to him, setting aside the rest of the roses on the floor. "Then climb on out. But if you don't mind, can I take a try?" You asked him while you helped him get out of the coffin.
He nodded, permitting you to lie down in the coffin. His eyes were trained on your face the whole time as you made yourself comfortable in the carrier. "It feels kinda soft? It's almost like resting on a firm mattress..." You commented while lying your arms on both sides of your body.
Aesop rested his arms on the side of the coffin, hiding a smile behind his back. "Your ideas and commentary are interesting, Miss (Y/n)," He picked up the rest of the roses and resumed your little decorating job until he reached the last rose. "I never knew it could be this way," He mused to himself.
Usually, he'd be anxious and nervous around anybody. But with you talking to him and bothering him at times, he grew accustomed to your presence. Seeing you in the coffin surrounded by the yellow roses, reminded him of one of his late mentor's victims. He stared hard at the rose in his hand.
Aesop broke out of his thoughts when he heard light snoring coming from the coffin. He glanced down at you to see that you had drifted off to sleep while resting in there. He shook his head at you, "Of all the places to fall asleep... You're truly an interesting character." He leaned down into the coffin, tucking the thornless rose behind your ear as he gently pressed his forehead against yours.
"I can't wait for the day I get to embalm you."

Day 9 (Helena Adams x Reader)
("What if I don't see it?" - Day 9)
"What if I don't see it?"
Helena asked sarcastically, her arms crossed over her chest in annoyance as she waited for you to realize that she was still blind.
"But it'd be so noticeable- ah, right..." You let out a nervous chuckle. Due to your excitement to show her something, you forgot that she was blind. "Sorry, I got a bit too excited... though that isn't an excuse. But what I'll show you will make up for it!"
She could only sigh and continue to follow you, her cane gently tapping along the wooden floor. Whatever could you have found in this humdrum Manor that got you this excited? From the halls that you were leading her down and entering the noisy dining room, Helena deducted that you were leading her to the kitchen or the garden.
"What's so amazing in the garden or the kitchen? The kitchen's just full of utensils, and the garden's just filled with weeds, bushes, a scarecrow, and a broken fountain."
"It's a surprise! We're headed straight for the garden." You answered and guided her out into the garden. The glass walls prevented any sunlight from glimmering into the garden and the wind from blowing in, but it was secure in here at least. "Okay, take a seat by the steps. I'll be back in a few minutes!"
Helena took a seat on one of the steps of the staircase and listened to you run around the garden. She could hear you scuffle about, rustling through bushes before you let out a triumphant, "Aha!" Helena let out a sigh and set aside her cane. She hoped what you found wasn't a bug.
You walked back towards her and sat down next to her, "Don't panic or scream. I promise it won't hurt you!" You warned her before you gently placed down something round, warm and soft on her lap. The feeling made her jump as she raised her hands, her mind racing and trying to figure out what you placed on her.
"W-what is it?"
The round object let out a meow that answered her question. "How did a cat get into the Manor?" She gently placed her hands on the cat, running her fingers through its soft fur.
"I'm pretty sure it must have been let in from the front door. I doubt there's an opening here in this garden," You said and looked around the garden. There's no way a cat this big could have squeezed through the glass.
"I guess so... Thanks for showing this to me, (Y/n)," Helena said, a smile on her lips as she continued to pet the cat. "Does anyone else know about this?"
You hesitated. But before you could tell Helena, the garden's door was pushed open and Emma walked out with a food bowl in her hand. "Alexander! It's time for dinner! Oh hey (Y/n), Helena! I see you found him."

Day 8 (Mike Morton, Norton Campbell & Reader)
( ”There is a certain taste to it.” - Day 8)
"There is a certain taste to it. You sure you want to give these pies to the hunter? That's going to be a waste." Norton asked as he swiped another finger of whipped cream and placed it in his mouth.
You held back a laugh as you moved the pies away from him. "It's expired, Norton. How does expired whipped cream taste hmm?" You teased him as Norton gagged and cringed. "I thought I would be able to use these leftovers to stun the hunter. I'm sure it'd be effective!"
"Yeah, effective but mean!" Mike reached his hand out and picked up one of the pies. "So how are you gonna carry these pies around while decoding?" He eyed the one he held before his eyes lit up, indicating that he had an idea. "Ooo~ I know! If you don't mind, can I take one of them with me? They're sure to be useful!"
"I don't see why not! But if you're going to be using them, I have a plan!" You gestured for Mike and Norton to lean in so you could whisper your plan into their ears. Meanwhile, Helena, who was seated at the other end of the table, fiddled with her cane nervously as she leaned as close as she could to listen in.
It was a dangerous plan, but who was she to stop them?
Just as the match had started in Moonlit River Park, You and Mike went to your agreed meet-up spot and greeted each other with a grin. "Okay, are you ready for this?" You asked him.
"Ready! Norton's nearby too so he can save us before we get caught!" He said, pointing to one of the large carts. You spotted Norton hiding behind it and sent him a thumbs up. "Oh-oh, here comes Joker! Hey!" Mike called out to him, getting his attention.
Even with all that makeup on, you could see Joker squint at the both of you in the distance. He knows something is up. "Should we... wait for him? Like, wait for him to use his rocket then we throw it?" Mike whispered to you when he saw Joker starting to add on adjustments to his rocket.
"That's a good idea. Wait for the right moment- and now! Throw it!" When Joker rushed towards you, Mike threw his pie at your command, and it landed splat on Joker's face.
"OH, BULLSEYE!!" You and Mike shouted out, high-fiving each other while Norton tossed a magnet at the two of you, attracting you two towards him. He quickly picked you guys up; He carried you on his shoulder while he carried Mike under his arm.
With the other party, Joker was pissed. "Cheering can happen later! Let's get going!" Norton made a run for it, letting you and Norton handle all the stunning.
Extra
Close to finishing one of the ciphers, Helena paused for a bit and turned her head in your direction. She could hear heavy footsteps, screams, yells, and shouts of profanity.
She let out a small sigh of defeat before resuming her work on the machine. "If they're going down, I'm heading straight for the dungeon as soon as I can..."

Day 7 (Robbie/Axeboy x Reader)
( “Can you stay?” - Day 7)
"Can you stay?" You didn't know whether or not it was a trap. Just a few steps in front of you was the opened exit gate, but behind you was Robbie, the ax boy, dressed in his new costume. The colors were bright and looked happy, but the mask that covered his mask didn't reciprocate the meaning.
Thinking it over, you glanced over your shoulder at the open exit before letting out a sigh. "Alright, I'll stay with you," You cautiously walked towards Robbie, your eyes focused on his candified weapon. It was just candy, but you knew how powerful his swings were so you weren't letting your guard down for one second.
Taking notice of your cautious stare, he leaned the weapon against a nearby wall and reached out to grab your hand. "Come on! We're in the River Park! Let's go on the roller coaster! Then the slides! Oh, oh! Then the merry-go-round!" He said as he bounced up and down excitedly. Even though he is a hunter, he was starting to act more like his age at this moment.
He dragged you towards all the said locations, letting out cheerful laughs as he did every activity with you. As the sun started to set, casting the sky in a mix of yellow, orange, and red, Robbie had dragged you on to one of the slides to enjoy the view.
"So, did you have fun today? Other than running around to catch me and the rest..." You trailed off at the end of your sentence. That was not fun on your part.
Robbie nodded excitedly, "Yeah, I did! You're one of the nicest survivors I've met so far!" He said and scooted on over to the slide. "Usually after a game, they aren't this nice to me or want to spend time with me,"
Feeling compelled to do something, you reached out your hand and patted him on the head gently. Your small sign of affection made Robbie tense up in shock. "...That feels weird. Only the other hunters would do that to me," he said and leaned back into your touch. "Thanks for not leaving... I appreciate it. Maybe I'd hunt you less!"
You let out a small hum. That offer is better than nothing. "No problem, we should head on back now. I'm sure the other hunters must be waiting for you?"
"Hmm. Nah! They'd come for me at night! Let's go on a few more rides on the roller coaster!!"
