He hummed, rather looking at the scenery. "I did not state that you could not." He simply pointed out. "Though ask me what I think of it again once you've survived the whole journey, will you?" It was meant to be taken with a bit of humor, but he was also serious. He knew there was much worse to come than trolls and the King to be wondered what this Hobbit could take before breaking. He then shrugged Bilbo's last comment off, not giving it any answer. "Next time you go off like this, make sure you have at least one armed dwarf not far from you, alright? This is not the time for our burglar to be eaten alive simply because he wandered further from the camp."
"Well—just because I’m not used to it doesn’t mean that I can’t do it." He sniffed a little, looking up at the sky. "I’m sure I’ll get used to this soon enough. There could be worse things." The trolls were certainly a surprise, but he had handled that well enough, right? "..Are you? I have to say, that’s a bit surprising."

It felt soothing to have the other keep his hand like this.
Foreign also, but good. It was not the kind of proximity
he was used to have, but despite the challenge hanging
between them, he was almost serene. Almost.
There was something in Bilbo’s eyes that caught him
off guards but then the Hobbit came closer and Thorin
ended up wondering just how much was the other’s
pride fault and how much the will’s?
He blinked, but offered a faint grin at the embarrassement,
his thumb unconsciously brushing Bilbo’s hand.
"Apparently I was wrong."
He conceded, his eyes observing the other’s features
in wonder.
"And not disappointed to have been."
Though whether it was a jest or one hundred percent
genuine it was not said.

"Nothing more than a cut, you should not worry this much."
He pointed out, or rather growled at him, as he carefully handled Bilbo, forgetting perhaps that he was a dwarf and Bilbo a simple Hobbit. Bothhadn’t the same relationship with pain.
"How did you get that anyway?"

The laugh made him smile despite himself, his usually
somber features softening. Bilbo had been a strange adding
to their company and he would not say he thought every day
how it was a marvelous idea. Sometimes, truly, he doubted.
Sometimes, he mused as fingers traced the palm of his hand,
he worried about the Hobbit Gandalf had thrown into the mix.
He looked down at the smaller hands, the smile fading, but
a certain fondness remaining.
Then he froze.
What? Rewind. He lost his thought as he looked up at Bilbo
but instead of showing the surprise, he actually grinned.
"Those are empty threats, but please, go ahead, stop me."
Because Hobbits are too much respectable for that, right?
He found himself wishing that Hobbit in particular wasn't
that respectable.

He couldn't help but to laugh this time when realization
seemed to wash over the Hobbit. It was a genuine laugh,
unheard but from them both as he tried to be polite about
it and stop, but a small chuckle was still there. He failed
at looking offended though his pride would have been
tickled if he wasn't already so amused.
"To my defense, I had no map."
He replied, an eyebrow raised.
"And truly, I am not the one who fainted in front of thirteen
dwarves and a wizard."
He stopped talking and glanced down at the hand Bilbo
had taken before looking back at the Hobbit, an unreadable
look on his face.
"Oh? What would that be? Tapping your foot on the floor
until it drives me mad?"
He mocked gently.

"Polite? You are crying out about a cut, I am saying it
as it is." He replied, though now was more to rile the
other up than anything else. It probably was a bit childish
but the scrunching face of the irritating Hobbit was
actually... endearing. So different from dwarves and yet
with a courage of another kind.
Foolish enough to fall from a tree though...
he held a grin back.
"It is easy to point fingers."
He added, trying not to think of his hands, but of the
wound he was tending to.
"I will have you know mister Baggins, that this whole
company had to stop earlier than we should have for
your little cut. It would be more honest to say that you
are slowing us down."
This time, though he kept his head bowed, the grin was
wide.

"You chose to come to me, instead, so it looks like you
have very little to say on the matter of how I will act." He
growled, lifting his eyes from what he was doing to glance
at Bilbo. "If you are more careful, there will be no next time."
Despite the brutality of his tone, he was actually soft on the
other's cut. It would not get infected though it would probably
sting for a while, but he prefered to make sure of it.
"You fell..." He snorted despite himself. "We are lucky it was
not your head then."

Do you know that Sauron was a protoss? Because its he had mind of great value and could use powers of Void. He could be beaten only by Istari the cheaters.

There was almost an amused smile to stretch his lips as he nodded, understanding. "You are not used to travel this far are you? Clearly the wizard brought you into something he should not have." There was no particular animosity in his voice as Bilbo had proven many times now - though in small gestures - that he was worth to drag along. "I am glad nevertheless." He admitted, before sitting at a respectable distance.
"Hm?"
Bilbo blinked, glancing up from where he was sitting. “Oh..my apologies, Thorin. I didn’t realize I had gone that far.” Ah, he was a bit out of it, exhausted, not realizing the distance he had gone in an attempt to be alone for a little while.
