Just a few more weeks. Hiatus will be over and Season 4 will begin to take over my Sunday nights again.

Hey guys, I never really had a chance to express how unbelievably happy I was with the movie adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars, specially when I was so nervous/excited about it.  Gosh- I cried. I laughed and then I cried A LOT more. I finally understood what John Green was trying to tell us: You can tell how much love and care every single person of the crew put on this movie. I truly appreciated the respect they had for the source material, something you rarely see these days. The movie overwhelmed me with happiness, specially when they were in Amsterdam. As some of you know, I went to Amsterdam last year and I absolutely loved it (my current project includes some of what I saw there). The movie made me wish I could go back and live there for the rest of my days— it truly is a MAGNIFICENT city that you MUST experience for yourself.  I’m super proud of the VlogBrothers and Nerfighteria for making this happen, and I could not be more happy for John Green, I bet this is more than a dream come true. I don’t talk about my illness so that you will feel sorry for me. I talk about it so you will know what I’m going through, why I am the way I am. I don’t want your pity. I want your understanding. And sometimes, I talk about it because I had a bad day and just like you, talking about the bad thing makes me feel better. I just so happens I have a lot of bad days and my illness is usually at the core of it.

I noticed some of you are fond of stealing shit. So, here’s a reminder for all of you. Educate yourself and read this thing in its entirety.

Everything you see on the internet, every image, video, song, blog post, etc., is owned by someone. There is always an artist/writer/musician/creator who exerted a lot of effort in making the content you see online. Just because it showed up on your Tumblr dashboard, or you found it on Google, doesn’t mean you can claim it as your own work.

I’m writing this because I am so done with people stealing shit, being credited for it, and actually getting away with it. One of my illustrations was stolen, and it got included in a music video for an international musician without my knowledge. You would argue, that the person who stole it did me a favor. The thing is, it didn’t get there properly. Someone passed it off like she owned my work. There was a contest held via Instagram, and some person submitted my work and made it seem like she had every damn right to claim it has her own, and give other people permission to use it.

Contests naturally require you to submit something that YOU have done yourself, and NOT the work of someone else. The same goes with selling shit online. You can NOT just grab an image from the internet, and sell things with that image printed on your products. It is protected by copyright, you have to ask permission, and sometimes pay a licensing fee.

I just had to write this down because it actually is depressing and disappointing for me (and I’m pretty every artist out there as well), to exert effort on something, and later find out that other people are taking the credit for work that is not theirs. We artists put a lot of thought into our work, it’s disheartening when things like these happen.

I’m not a fan of putting watermarks, I think it sometimes gets in the way of the overall look of an artwork. However, I have been putting one all the time lately because I don’t have a choice. This isn’t the first time I got stolen from, and I have to do something to prevent it. It doesn’t feel great to be robbed. No one likes how that feels. So please, stealing scumbags of the internet, STOP IT.

So Emma chose to kiss him, but this wasn’t anything like their first kiss. It was better. I liked that it was slow and soft because it showed a different kind of chemistry between Morrison and O’Donoghue that was even more potent. Morrison was able to show how much Emma was allowing herself to feel loved in that moment. Her smile when they pulled away was a thing of beauty because it was so unguarded. And then he followed her smile with his own, which was beautiful in its symbolism—always letting her take the lead. As someone who always wanted Emma to find happiness and love, those little smiles meant the world to me as a fan. And then she met him halfway for another kiss, proving that this time it’s not a one-time thing.

Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear that the two of you, on some level belong together. As lovers, or as friends, or as family, or as something entirely different. You just work, whether you understand one another or you’re in love or you’re partners in crime. You meet these people throughout your life, out of nowhere, under the strangest circumstances, and they help you feel alive. I don’t know if that makes me believe in coincidence, or fate, or sheer blind luck, but it definitely makes me believe in something.
