I love how a lot of my ships deal with like, complex emotions in the relationship but are ultimately very healthy in their portrayal and depiction (IN MY OPINION)

And then there's Handsome Tricks which is just abusive. On both ends. Jack's largely the instigator and "main man" but Tricks is not without fault and he's threatened Jack right back and he did not HAVE to stay with him. He had a direct way out of Jack's reach and protection and he went "well no. Nothing's going on between us" and by the time the relationship is over, Tricks is too dedicated to a dead god only he was worshiping that no one can save him

#I use Jack and I to explore a lot of deeper emotions in me and too work out stuff a lot.#tricks rambles #as i always say. i have fun with me and Jack and i love making it cutesy but the like real actual meat and potatoes relationship/story is NO #T healthy and if it were real/canon it would MEANT to be uncomfortable

Tricks cr c!2: Bard, very devoted, would write love songs for you, willing to kill to protect you, wants a quiet life after adventuring, slow to accept you love him but warms up quickly

OUAT!Tricks: Ex-thief, learning to settle down, ready for healthy relationships!, goes to therapy!!! Weekly!! Wants to still do things but content with sitting on the sidelines, would take a curse if it meant finding you again

Wolfe Bones: Do you want to be part of a Polycule? No? You are now, bad past but has a heart of gold, prone to bursts of anger but one of his partners already is a psychologist, free pass into the Jeffersonian! LOVES hearing about everything you're doing, will protect you!!! 5'3" and ready to kill for you!

Worst s/is to date off the top of my head:

BLS!Tricks: His story is like extremely dependent on HJ. You'd need to do a lot of changing him, NOT ready for a relationship, extremely clingy bordering on obsessive -- and NOT in a glamorous way, ride or die. Literally., self trained merc that has an extremely turbulent past he is not done with, cannot move on, goes from high to low in a snap, will idolize you in all the wrong ways, emotionally stunted

Malevolent!Tricks:

Chaos entity/God/demon/thing??? that sees both humanity and other gods like its little plaything. Not actually interested in love, but interested in watching. Most likely to kill you before you even know what's going on, not someone you can "make better", flaky and at times and entirely different person, Kayne's just lucky

Doctor Who!Tricks:

Honestly, this is a 50/50 thing actually, adventurous, highly-loving as a person, wants to see change in the world, EXTREME daddy's boy (do not fucking sexualize me saying this or you will be blocked), do you not the Doctor? Does the Doctor seem hesitant about you? Then Tricks isn't staying, also NOT good at keeping up relationships when people do not understand time travel, struggles with abandonment issues that are complex and span years that he will not talk to someone about-- unless you've traveled with the Doctor you just won't get it, basically it's him and his dad or not at all

Question for those who have ships with any Doctor Who character! Does your s/I have a fear of any of the enemies of the Doctor/villains/etc.?

Tricksy s/i has a continual fear of the Daleks! I'm not actually sure WHEN I decided on this but it's played a role in a few scenes he'd show up in. I think partially it's due to 9 + 10 (losing Rose and alllll those Daleks invading)

On the flip side, while Tricks doesn't feel any fear towards them any mention of Weeping Angels will cause him to bristle. He'll give a wide birth to most statues. He still misses Amy and Rory...
