“You’re also a terrible comedian,” Sam said, rolling her eyes. “I’ll give you the pretty face.” Sam blushed as she said that comment.
Sam could tell Danny was worried and while she appreciated the sentiment, she knew it was uncalled for, she only slipped and bumped her head lightly. But still, Danny caring as much as he did meant a lot to her, not that she would ever admit it. She slowly grabbed onto him, and gave him a grateful smile. When he made the suggestion of a piggyback, she couldn’t help but blush. She knew she didn’t need one, but she certainly wanted it. Sam raised an eyebrow. “I’m okay for walking but I’m lazy so we’ll piggyback it.”
“You can barely see the floor of your room,” the girl pointed out, smirking. But she nodded, because there was no way the nurse would be able to see her under the circumstances. At first, she was fascinated by the water but now she was sick of it. Everyone was sick of it. Literally sick, people were passing out from dehydration. Although that hadn’t happened to Sam yet, she did have times where she felt woozy. “Ibuprofen sounds wonderful,” Sam mused, groaning as she accidentally moved a body part that shouldn’t be moved. “Really, Danny you don’t have to call your mom, I’ll be fine. Don’t bother her.”
“Well yeah, but I’m also arms, legs, a chest, a head and a pretty face.” Danny didn’t completely understand how he had friends with his stupid sense of humor, but he kept his grateful little mouth shut and didn’t ask questions.
Cracking his lame jokes was Danny’s way of keeping the situation light while he was panicking for his friend’s safety. Sam was a tough girl, and she didn’t need an overbearing, overprotective friend to get worked up over her every booboo. She had her parents for that. Danny forced himself to stay calm while chivalrous instincts screamed at him to break that delicate little black rose out of the quarentine and rush her to the nearest ER. Miraculously maintaining his cool, he wrapped her arm around his shoulder so she could use him as a crutch. “Anyway, think you can walk like this for a couple more hallways, or should we piggyback it?” A sizable chunk of him wanted her to say yes to the piggyback ride, but he also didn’t know if he was overdoing it.
“We’ll just go to my room first. The nurse’s office has been jammed all day from people drinking the shower water and stuff.” The lockdown and lack of sanitation was causing major cabin fever among the student body. People were pulling stupid stunts half out of boredom and half out of desperation to be sent to a hospital off-campus. Danny didn’t have time for the lines at health services. He would get her some immediate help and make an appointment while he took care of whatever wounds she had. “I’ve got ibuprofen and Arnold’s got an icepack in the minifridge. We’ll call up my mom and have Jake call his gramps– he’s knows all sorts of ancient Chinese remedies for this kinda stuff, and Mom’s the one that always takes care of Dad’s injuries.”

I don't know if I've seen her. But hopefully I will and her genius will rub off on me. That would be rad.
Well, I have two! But the genius one is Becca, she’s the really pretty one with red hair. Usually has her nose in a book. Oh my gosh, what if it could make us fly?!

“No, no...nothing’s broken.”
“Do you need to go to health services?”

“Thanks,” Sam mumbled, brushing off her pants. “I think I’m okay...nothing feels broken and I don’t feel like I have a concussion. But thank you.”
“Oh shit,” Angelica replied, offering her hand. “Maybe you should make your way to the nurse then if you feel like something’s broken.”

I get what you mean. This would be an extreme prank.
Just because it’s clever doesn’t mean it should be done ore praised. It’d be okay, maybe, if it was a party trick, and not a massive thing that lasts weeks and puts a halt on our lives.

“I wish they would just figure out what was going on.”
“Thanks, Dee - I really appreciate it.”
“Well - hm - that’s true. I don’t blame you. Everyone’s lacking in water in general around here.”
“But if you ever need any, you’ve got me, ‘kay? I’m more than happy to share.”

Sam got up and said, “Yeah, thanks. I just...pain, lots of it.”
Wally reaches his hand out to help the girl up. “Are you okay?”

Sam slowly got up and mumbled a thanks to Danny, and then mocked hurt at his insult. “How dare you Daniel,” she said. “You’re an ass.” Despite her calling him an ass, she was still wearing an undeniable grin.
“I’ve got you.” Danny held both of her hands and helped her up, pretend-huffing and puffing, his facial expressions making it out like it was strenuous labor to pull a skinny teenage vegetarian to her feet. “Jeez, Sam. I think you’re putting on some weight. Have you been eating meat or something?”

“It’s not like I hae a choice on whether I can get god water or not, but I do drink water when can. Don’t worry.”
“Though being pale is pretty cool, dehydration can kill you, Sam. Have you thought about make-up or something instead?”

“Thank god, I’m parched, although the dehydration makes me look really pale which is cool.”
“If you’re running low on water bottles, you can have some of mine. I haven’t really been showering per say anyways. I’ve just been doing my hands, to make sure I can still eat and such.”

Who's your sister? Maybe I'll gain some brain cells. Yeah -- the scary part definitely wins, I feel like I could get infected and turned into a mutant or something.
You should hang around my sister more, the feeling starts to grow on ya. Isn’t it? But it’s so much scarier, so I think the whole scary part wins.

It'd be a cruel but clever prank. The cruelest pranks are the most clever usually. Like wasabi and guacamole.
It would be nice if there was a big reveal that everything is suddenly okay and normal, but I don’t think it’s possible for something so large scale and dangerous that it could be a prank. If it was, it’s a horrible, cruel one.

That song is so overplayed. More like uptown shut the funk up.
Stop!
Wait a minute, fill my cup, put some liquor in it.

I was kind of hoping that the green water thing was a prank.
It’s April’s Fools Day, and I’m a little shocked I haven’t seen or heard about any silly pranks. I’m almost disappointed.
