Ikemen Sengoku Route: Kiyotaka Hatano - Masterlist

Whaaaaa okay this is scary and exciting at the same time! The idea for this fic has been running in my head for over a year and it has been plotted for a while now, but NaNoWriMo finally got me to actually start writing my very own Ikemen Sengoku route for my OC Kiyo. I’ve finished the first chapter and will slowly but surely be posting it here on Tumblr :D The fic will be a long and chopped up into 10 parts per chapter, just like in IkeSen! Chapter 1: Change of Plans - Part 1

Well, that just happened. Of course, my choices for staying here and accepting the job were “yes” and “yes, my lord.” I just need to keep my head about me… And my neck attached to my shoulders. Nobunaga ordered a feast to celebrate the appointment of his new chatelaine— me. There were piles of food, fit for a daimyo, but I didn’t have much appetite. I’m Nobunaga Oda’s chatelaine. And that means? How do I take care of a castle? And the people living in it? I stared into my sake cup, lost in thought, as the warlords around me continued to enjoy the feast.

Masamune “What is it, lass? Can’t hold your sake?”

Masamune approached me with a stupid grin on his face. Before I could answer, Mitsuhide joined us with mischievous eyes.

Prompt: Fireflies

The summer was nearly over and I’d escaped to the forest nestling in a tree outside Azuchi. Things would change soon, I would have to pick…

I was a coward, so weak… Stuck between both sides, wanting to protect both but… that was impossible.

Tears blurred my vision, running down my cheeks. What should I do? I couldn’t do nothing and yet I wanted to.

Out here I was alone, I’d always been alone. I’d faked friendships with them all trying to distance myself, I was hurting enough, I didn’t want to add to it.

Footsteps padded along the ground. I sat up, trying to see through my tear soaked eyes; they dropped now down below.

“Ranmaru?”

I scrunched my eyes shut. It was her.

“Are you… crying?”

I tried to slip away, I couldn’t bring her into this mess.

“Don’t go.”

As she stepped, the ground erupted in light, fireflies burst up and up and up into the sky, dancing, sparkling, glittering around me. I reached out and they slipped between my fingers.

A face peeked up over the branch, barely able to reach where I was sat. “Ranmaru. What are you doing out here alone?”

I… can’t…

Her soft hand reached out and took mine, and I looked at her, face illuminated with the light of the fireflies.

“I’m here now.”

He was still mad at me. Very mad. I could tell by the way he hovered near the entrance, glancing around dangerously. I hadn’t tried to enter yet, even between the maids bringing in the food, but I had a plan. Hideyoshi had said the party was for everyone and I wasn’t going to let my play war with Masamune stop me from attending.

Inside voices raised, I listened carefully; it was mostly Hideyoshi scolding Mitsuhide. Smiling, I hopped up into the ceiling and shuffled along the beams until I reached the corner. Lifting the tile, I peeked through the hole looking for Masamune.

“Masamune, the food is excellent as usual but there is not enough sake.” Nobunaga nodded.

“Hmm? It’s gone already? I’ll find some.”

As he wandered off I dropped down silently, taking a place next to Nobunaga. Reaching inside my kimono I pulled out a small bag and threw it in his direction.

“Here you go Nobunaga-sama,” I said with a grin.

Nobunaga wasted no time in opening it, tipping the sweets into his palm and eating one. I knew I could trust him to keep my secret.

“H-Hey!” Masamune called out, looking in my direction. “How did you—gah!”

Smug, I started to help myself to the delicious food he had made, knowing I was still winning.

I couldn’t wait too long, water rolled down my fingertips drip drip dripping on the floor. Would he hear? I didn’t think he’d be able to see, especially with the eyepatch. I picked this side so I’d be in his blind spot. My footsteps were silent and each movement precise, efficient, perfect. He stood with his back to me, leaning over the fire, cooking what smelt like deer. One more step. Two. Third and time to jump… My fingers grabbed his collar, yanking it back, opening it for a clear shot and—

“What—”

—icy snow ran down his bare back. I leapt back with a grin.

“Ah!” Masamune yelped, dropping the spoon he’d been holding, his head turning slowly towards me. “Ranmaru,” he hissed, his one good eye snapping to mine with a glare.

“I win. Time to gooo.”

Before Masamune could pull out one of the many knives within reach, I slipped back out the door, desperately trying to hold back the laughter rising up. Within moments, I was on the roof, watching below as Masamune charged out like a boar, grunting and growling grumpily.

“You better watch out lad.” He’d picked up the spoon again and now splattered broth in the snow in his rage as he spun around. “The war isn’t over yet.”

Prompt: Heat

Snowflakes drifted down from the sky landing on my chilled nose. They were falling faster now, heavier, each one larger than the last. Azuchi was still too far for me to reach, and so I had to take shelter under some trees. There were no leaves, but the branches would help, if only a little bit. As I buried back into my hood, a small white face peeked out, buried within my cloak.

I smiled. “I’d stay there where it’s warmer, it’s pretty cold out here.”

Shippo gave a little squeaky chitter before scrambling out and onto my arm, sniffing the air and looking around.

“We’re not home yet, but look at the snow, isn’t it pretty?” Another squeak before the stoat ducked into my hood, brushing his fluffy tail against my cheek. “I know, I know, you prefer the summer don’t you. But don’t worry, it won’t be long before we are back.” I reached up to give him a pet and looked up to the sky. “While we wait, you stay there and share my heat.”

Even in the harsh coldness, I didn’t mind so much waiting out here with Shippo, my only real friend.

Gifts for the Birthday Boy and discord server

I planned to do much more, but the IkeSen awards took everything out of me. I fought for Ranmaru’s #1 but managed to snag #4th place instead so yay I get the badge! So I will do a Ranmaru Appreciation Week another time, and throw lots of content out then. For now, here’s what I have:

Hi, thanks for the ask! I absolutely LOVE doing mbti and dabbled into enneagrams before but they still confuse me a little. But I have had a long think and here’s what I’ve come up with.
