The quiet makes every echoing sound stand out in shocking relief: the rhythmic sound of water moving over Git's hand, his breaths becoming increasingly ragged.
"Oh—"
There's a sudden surge of water as he braces his leg against the end of the tub and grips the side with his free hand, panting. His head falls back, exposing his throat to the waiting viewers, his hand moving faster on his cock.
"F-f—fuck," he gasps, shuddering and spurting over the surface of the rippling water.
Slowly, he relaxes. Chest rising and falling, Git turns his face to the webcam. "For this one—" He licks his lips and winks as his cum swirls in the bathwater. " —I'll charge extra."

I'm SO excited for this! I've seen how learning these skills can transform lives, and our side of fandom has been left out for far too long, and this is the only team I know that thas the kind of drive, vision, and expertise to make it happen and do it right.
Tumblr media
This April 1st, @bobaboard proudly presents our first ever Kickstarter:
✨The Fujoshi Guide to Web Development✨
Join us for a fun and educational adventure sure to hold the interest of even the most "no studying, only studs" fans.
The secret? Hot fictional men, of course!
If you're new to @bobaboard's April 1st traditions, you might wonder: Is this just an elaborate joke?
As long-term fans know, it’s elaborate, it’s a joke, BUT it’s also a 100% real, high-quality product you can buy. Check out the full pitch and back us at the #FujoGuide Kickstarter page! Keep reading for more!
Since the very beginning, we have championed the weirdness of fans as the best antidote to the blandness of the corporate-driven web. But pointing out this weirdness is not enough: we must nurture and empower it.
But how do we hold fans' attention in a world full of distractions? Well—
Tumblr media
But jokes aside, there's no joke: with your help we will make #FujoGuide an amazing teaching tool that will (cough) "fill the gaping holes" in current educational materials for web development.
To fix the web, what we have now is not even close to "good enough." Here's why.
While teaching fannish "baby coders," we noticed existing materials fall into two categories:
jargon-heavy, complex guides designed for professional developers
oversimplified, nostalgia-driven tutorials filled with outdated approaches
…and not ONE hot man in sight!
Instead, #FujoGuide aims to put modern web development techniques into the hands of a fannish public, speaking directly to their needs WITHOUT talking down to them.
We love web development, we love fandom, and we believe that, with the right tools, they'll also love each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But words can only do so much. To support #FujoGuide and learn more about Version Control, our first—bold!—choice of topic, head down to Kickstarter and (cue YouTuber voice) smash that "back this project" button!
This whole project was created by a small team of fannish people over the course of just two months (yes, really)! The amazing quality of what you see is testament to their infinite talent, passion, and patience. Applause pls (on the credits doc).
And with this… our 30 days countdown begins! As the month progresses, we'll teach you more and more about our new beloved self-shipped blorbos. We know you'll come to love us as much as we do.
Also if you aren’t already, follow our mothership and main project @bobaboard.

Hi, I don't know if you have been asked this before, but how do you feel about the theory that eren is the father of hisu's baby?
Hey anon, I don’t know how long it’s been since you asked this, but since it’s probably been a long time, my apologies for keeping you waiting. I’m permanently away from tumblr (and pillowfort) for reasons of principle, among other things. I’m on fandom.ink and dreamwidth though, and you’re more than welcome to chat with me there. I have an asks entry set up on dreamwidth (which hopefully works as intended), which would be a good place to send questions anonymously.
I don’t intend to keep you waiting any longer though, so: the Historia babydaddy question. My preferences for who the father should be go like this:
Levi > Eren > 104th > anyone else
I would love Levi to be the father, because Royal Ackerbaby would be objectively cool (and would raise a lot of interesting questions regarding the specific heredity of bloodline powers), and it would piss off the people involved in the LeviGate madness back when the Uprising arc first came out. (That second bit is petty of me, I admit.) This is a crack scenario; I doubt it will actually pan out that way in the story.
Still would be cool though.
Eren is my other favorite pick, by a very long way, but to explain why that is I need to skip past Eren to the other part: 104th vs anyone else.
Back when the pregnancy reveal came out, I wrote out a lot of my thoughts on Historia’s place in that storyline, but I skirted around the fatherhood question. In most of the discussions I saw at the time, people said that they hoped the father was farmer-kun or some other random person, not a named character. I suspect that’s essentially because they want to avoid the drama of that kind of reveal, which is fair. But I can’t think of anything worse than having to have sex with some stranger, someone I don’t know well and don’t trust, simply for the sake of getting pregnant
(Note: “they have sex to continue the line” is such a strong squick for me that I refuse to read even fun and cheerful fics from authors I love, if they have that premise. “They have sex to have a child who’ll be doomed to a short and brutal life in order to stop an oncoming genocide”? Nope nope nope nope nope. Can’t.)
So: the father needs to be someone Historia knows and trusts, someone she has a connection with, or else the whole situation is even more horrible than it already was. That pretty much narrows it down to the 104th + Levi. Who in the 104th is she closest to, out of those who have the ability to father children?
Eren. This is obvious, of course, since Eren is the main character and obviously we see more interaction between them than between Historia and other characters. She doesn’t have a strong connection to Armin, or Connie. She does to Eren.
Eren is the one who understands the choice she made to take on the crown, and why she made it, and what she gave up to do it. He was there with her on the precipice of decision. The story has emphasized over and over and over (literally, at least three times) how much he cares about her safety and happiness, even to the point where for years, he was willing to put The Cause completely to the side and keep quiet about the royal titan thing, purely out of concern for the consequences to her.
So yeah. Not only would I prefer a storyline where Eren turned out to be the father, purely in terms of Historia being able to keep some measure of dignity, despite all the messiness that would come with that, I also think that’s the most likely outcome for the story. And I would welcome it.

GOOD NEWS WHO KNEW
No, it actually is good news! Updates to the posts I made earlier this month asking y'all to donate to two good friends of ours who were facing eviction:
First up again is Greyandgold. Between direct paypal donations and Greyandgold doing honest-to-goodness bake sales (she is an incredible baker), she raised enough to cover her rent, and her landlord agreed not to evict her even though she was late with it. THANK FUCK.
That brings us to Stef. Between her gofundme and other fundraising activity, Stef and Janis have raised $2000 so they can stay in their apartment… but they need another $500 by the end of the month (and it takes about a week for gofundme to release funds), so if you can help out now (or again), please do. LINK.
Again, even boosting this is a help, and I know a *lot* of you have been doing that, and I can’t thank you enough for that. Please, again. *Please*.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped me help my friends. Watch this space for further updates.

Hello! i tried backing up my tumblr but all it did was save pictures so now im going to try your method! when you say that instead of pictures, it will back up the links, are these the links to the pictures URL or the links to the post they're from?
Hi Anon! Instead of downloading the picture and linking to the file locally, the option you're talking about (assuming I understand you right) will link to the copy of the file that's still stored on Tumblr's servers. So it's a good option if you want to save space, but not a good option if you plan to delete your blog, or if you worry Tumblr may delete or censor it.
(No matter what option your use, a link to the Tumblr post itself will be included with the backed up version.)

Much Quickly Simple 8-Step Tumblr Backup Process for Windows (Very Good)
So there’s more than one install process post out there for the excellent tumblr-utils backup tool, the best backup tool I’ve found. But after working with many people over the past week or so to back up many blogs, I’ve got a process hammered out. This is as streamlined as I can get it, and even works for the trickier task downloading the videos on your blog.
Instructions under the cut so that I can update as updates are needed, so keep an eye on this space. Here we fuckin’ go!
1. Download the Python 2.7 installer (Windows x86-64 MSI installer) and run it: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2715/
2. On the “Customize Python” step, click the red X by “Add python.exe to Path” and select “Will be installed on local hard drive”
Tumblr media
3. Go here and save the page as “tumblr_backup.py” (make sure the .py is on the end!)
Tumblr media
4. Move the file to C:\Python27\Scripts
Tumblr media
5. Search your start menu for “command” and open the command prompt
Tumblr media
6. Type pip install youtube-dl and hit enter (this is only necessary if you want to download the videos)
7. Type your command and hit enter. Choose from one of these shiny options:
tumblr_backup.py -jk BLOGNAME (downloads the posts, links to the pictures on tumblr rather than downloading them; good for saving space, not good if your pics are what you’re worried about losing)
tumblr_backup.py -lj BLOGNAME (back up your likes, instead of your blog)
tumblr_backup.py --save-video --save-audio --tag-index -j BLOGNAME (back up ALL THE THINGS, and also create a separate page that lists all your tags and links to posts that use them)
8. Profit???
NOTES
Last I checked, the most current release of this script has some bugs. I have been working (somewhat successfully) on finding ways to patch them, but don’t have a good way to distribute the patched versions yet.
Before you ask: as far as I know, there is no good tool out there to back up your drafts. The python tool can probably be used for that, but it is slightly beyond my knowledge to implement. Blogs which are locked to the dashboard also won’t work with this, but they do with TumblThree... though its download format is not, imo, as nice.

Questions
1. Will this get me flagged on here?
2. Will this get me purged on PF?
I mean this is some hot, explicit shota right there. 😂

This actually isn’t a terribly big ask. Plenty of webhosts allow NSFW content. HostGator is one good possibility. Their cheapest hosting plan is $8/mo, and provides 100GB storage and way more CPU/memory than you’re likely to need for an HTML site. (Webhosts love HTML sites! They’re efficient and unlikely to get hacked!) Their plan is not terribly far out of the norm, so you can shop around.
The thing that’s most likely to cause you problems, actually, is the sheer number of files involved. Most hosting providers have what’s called an “inode” limit, which is a limit on the number of files + folders you can have on your account. They’re unlikely to tell you about this up front, but google “[webhost] inode limit” and you’ll usually find hard numbers buried in their helpdesk somewhere. Your specific example may be fine though: one 13G backup I’ve got has 60,000 files. HostGator’s hosting allows up to 100,000.
You’ll also want to check their content policy carefully for fine print. While most hosts don’t proactively check for violating content, if there’s a report they’ll act on it. HostGator’s content terms are here and here. In sum: they allow anything that’s legal in the US and the state of Texas specifically. (Which means that, tbh, you’re more likely to have copyright issues than adult content ones, but unless they get a takedown notice these are rarely acted on.) Again, you’ll wanna read it yourself, and reach out to them directly if you have questions. Good luck!
P.S. Just note that this will be a bitch to upload and manage. Do not try to use the cPanel file manager to view the “media” folder in the backup, it will freeze trying to list all the files. Also keep in mind, FTP will not show you all the files, as it only shows up to a few thousand within a single directory. But as long as this is a static archive, one upload and done, you should be fine.
So...You Have A Backup of Your NSFW Tumblr....Where To Take It?
Assumptions
1. It is 10 GB
2. Stored as an index file and folders (which will look like this: https://zinedom.org/zinedom-tumblr/index.html)
3. Just want to archive it online for now…will figure out what to do moving forward
4. Lots of NSFW fan art
The blogs, if downloaded using the Python Tumblr Backup are easy to upload to a website (I have 2 domain names). But what kind of webhost will allow that?
1. Data storage
2. Bandwidth (password protect to limit.)
3. NSFW ( Password may also assist with adult content)
Cpanel is a must. I cannot manage a website without one (ex Dreamhost - their system was too confusing)

AO3 and Dreamwidth both had their growing pain periods, and now they’re the most stable and long-lived fandom sites out there. I remember me and all my friends being deeply skeptical about both of them early on, and there was a lot of foretelling of their inevitable collapse. Hasn’t happened so far.
can I just thank you for not being ridiculous about pillowfort's issues? I full agree with you, it definitely hasn't been perfect but I believe they can figure this out bc they clearly care about the site, but besides you every time I see someone address pf's problems they're instantly foretelling its grisly downfall as if no successful project has ever run into unexpected problems lmao
I think part of that is that I joined tumblr in 2009. I was here for tumblr’s horrible, downtime riddled, server space bewildered, “what do we do and how do we do it” growth phase. There were weeks at a time where you would see this godforsaken error page more than your dashboard.
The problems PFIO is having are, well, familiar. And I know they didn’t stop tumblr from becoming the behemoth that it is(/was).
So, I’m optimistic that PFIO will also have a solid growth curve. Particularly since it is explicitly patterning itself off of existing platforms, meaning it has a guide for what not to do.
And it is, I want to be very clear, optimism. There are a lot of ways for PFIO to go to shit, or just evaporate overnight.
But no moreso than with any website less than 5 years old.

This is a really good writeup of basically the reasons why Tumblr has been fandom’s home for as long as it has, and the challenges we’ll face if/when we move.
There are websites that do image or media hosting well (Pixiv, Imgur, Newgrounds), and there are websites that do text well (Dreamwidth, AO3), but both? That’s a unicorn. Both and also allows NSFW fan content, despite the complications that causes in legal, copyright and advertising terms? Hoo-boy.
And with fandom having been on Tumblr for so long, we’ve shaped ourselves around its capabilities. Gifsets weren’t a thing in the LiveJournal days, but it would be hard to give them up now that they are. Asks weren’t a thing then either, and fandom in general was not so friendly to lurkers, anons, and non-content creators. Artists were cloistered mostly over on DeviantArt, which had its own issues, and there wasn’t the kind of mixing between graphics-based and text-based fandom that you get here. And let’s not forget shitposts!
At the moment, the only site I see that can do all of that is Pillowfort, which is frankly not ready: it’s very young--its Kickstarter started in July ffs--and is currently in paid beta with untested software. I have a lot of hope for it! I’ve already paid for a handful of keys to help encourage SNK fandom to move in and give it a try, and might buy more to give out if things go well. But if it doesn’t, fandom might end up moving to a completely different kind of platform, and shift to a completely different mode of life in doing so.
are you gonna leave tumblr too?
No. Despite all this bullshit going on with tumblr right now, even if I wanted to leave (I don’t, mind you.I’m just super salty), I couldn’t.
Tumblr is, unfortunately, the only website I have found that gives me the proper tools and format to contribute to fandom in the way that I do. No other website allows me to post uniform gif/gfx sets in full pixel view, and no other website allows me long posts with built in photo appliance for the sake of organized meta writing with proper visual references that are easy to follow, and easy to read.
As much shit as I give this hellhole, it is still the best website format for my type of contribution to fandom. I can’t hop over to twitter and write mile long analysis like the Abuse Claim meta, and I can’t post gif sets in a cohesive manner where you don’t have to click and enlarge my now forced video format gifs to properly see them. I can’t receive and respond to anonymous or public messages asking for my thoughts and/or theories about the fandoms I’m in to further contribute to the community and my content overall.
Not to mention all of my followers and mutuals whom I do not wish to just up and leave behind out of salty rage for the people who own this blue shit show. Basically, I am sticking around until a better website hops along that grants these things for fandom contribution and a majority of my followers and mutuals migrate to it.
