This is amazing! I have an idea, tho. Can you write a connection between BOTW and TOTK?
Fruit Cake
For @zelinkcommunity's Weekly Prompt: Fruit Cake
It was winter when Link defeated the Calamity.
Zelda had been looking forward to the warmth of the sun once she was alive again, but the cold that accompanied the few drifting snowflakes was just as nice because of how real it all was.
Hyrule Field hadn’t had much in the way of snow, melting soon after it hit the ground, but as they ventured into Kakariko and then Hateno, they found plenty of snow to truly capture the spirit of Hylia’s Day that was nearly upon them when they arrived home. Because Link left no room for doubt—as soon as they arrived, it was her house just as much as it was his.
“I have something for you,” Link said, a few days after their arrival and a few before the holiday.
She raised an eyebrow. “Oh? What is it?”
“Fruit Cake.”
Any exclamation she was about to let out was quickly halted when he pulled out a small dense cake that looked like it was better suited for building material than being considered edible.
“I heard it was your favorite, so I had to make it. I wasn’t sure what it was at first, but then I heard that it was a classic Hateno dish for Hylia’s Day.”
Zelda looked up at him, not really wanting to crush that smile. But she also wasn’t particularly keen on eating it. “Well, uh… we can certainly try it, but… that wasn’t the sort of fruit cake I ate in the castle, Link.”
His face fell. “Well, then, how do I make your fruit cake?”
She shrugged. “I was never the one who made it.”
He looked away, fidgeting, glancing at the fruit cake he had made as if he could do something to it to make it be her favorite desert instead of what it was. It hadn’t been long since the Calamity was defeated, hadn’t been long since they were together, but she already knew that he loved to do things to help her feel special.
She might as well try to return the favor.
“Though, Link, I don’t think fruit cake is quite my favorite desert anymore.”
Link looked up, eyebrows raised. “What is it, then? I’ll try to make it for you, if I can.”
“It’s something even sweeter than fruit cake.” Zelda leaned forward and caught his lips with her own, before pulling back briefly to look him in the eyes. “Will you let me have it often?”
He did.

Help
Hello, Tumblr community, I'm wondering if anyone has been able to create or come across Linked Universe 3D models. I would love to contribute, but unfortunately, I only have access to a Chromebook and lack the necessary skills to create them myself. If anyone has anything, email me at: [email protected]
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Chuck Norris Jokes. Sorry, I was bored.
I asked ChatGpt for Chuck Norris jokes. Here we are:
Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups; he pushes the Earth down.
Chuck Norris counted to infinity... twice.
Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.
Chuck Norris can sneeze with his eyes open.
Chuck Norris can start a fire by rubbing two ice cubes together.
Chuck Norris once went skydiving and his parachute didn't open. He still landed safely because the ground was too scared to let him hit it.
Chuck Norris can strangle you with a cordless phone.
Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one bird.
Chuck Norris can make onions cry.
When Chuck Norris does a push-up, he isn't lifting himself up; he's pushing the Earth down.
Chuck Norris can hear sign language.
Chuck Norris once kicked a horse in the chin. Its descendants are now known as giraffes.
Chuck Norris can delete the Recycling Bin.
Chuck Norris can unscramble an egg.
Chuck Norris doesn't mow his lawn; he stares at the grass and dares it to grow.

I find it interesting how Link and Zelda share a house, she needs a place to work peacefully, and Link is literally given the arm of a KING! Is it me, or is the future being told through subtle hints?

Will I integrate TotK into Linked Universe?
In truth, I just don’t know. It's gonna have to reach some high expectations to get me to overhaul stuff. It all depends on what transpires in this new adventure of Wild's. Who knows, I may just say “Forget it! TotK is better for Wild in LU!” it wouldn’t be the first time I changed my mind.
Is wolf link still available to assist? The answer will tell me a lot about Twilight.
How much does Wild's past as a Knight influence his post-calamity lifestyle? On behalf of the Hero of Warriors I would really like to know for…reasons…
What is Fi's fate? She looks in rough shape.
And I really would like to know where Wild stands with Zelda. Even Just simple scenes can say a lot.
If the theory that he is his own self-fulfilling prophecy, and he ends up as the hero from 10,000 years before his own birth, that would be great for LU. If not, that’s OK. But boy would that work in my favor.
Farewell all! I'll be in Hyrule for some time, hopefully you will too.

Chapter 17: Deja Vu
Continued from Chapter 16. Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe.
Chapter 17: Deja Vu
After the grueling Trial of the Master Sword, the Links desperately needed rest. However, their peace was short-lived as they received word that the shadow monster had returned to Skyloft, taking the form of a large Lizalfos and wreaking havoc once again.
Determined to confront the monster, the Links engaged in a long and difficult battle, with neither side gaining the upper hand. Suddenly, the monster let out a deep, throaty roar and the ground began to rumble beneath their feet.
“What is that!?” asked the Conductor in alarm.
“I don’t know… Is that another Lizalfos!?” questioned the Champion.
Realizing that the monster was calling for reinforcements, the Commander quickly devised a plan. “It’s a classic battle tactic! It’s calling its friends to hunt us down. We need to get off Skyloft, separated, and fast!”
Without hesitation, the Links leaped off the island, closely followed by the pursuing monsters. They zigzagged through the forest, taking out the creatures one by one until they finally cornered the shadow monster. It tried to escape by transforming into a keese, but Champion quickly used stasis to immobilize it. Hoarder produced a net and they were able to tie up the monster before the stasis spell wore off.
As it reverted back to its Lizalfos form, the monster hissed, “What do you want from me?”
“What do you want with us?” asked the Old Man, trying to reason with the creature.
“To prove that the darkness is stronger than the light,” the monster replied, its voice full of snake-like hisses.
“What darkness and what light?” questioned the Links.
“I guess you’ll have to find out,” the shadow monster said mysteriously.
Without warning, it opened a portal and fell backward into it, effectively escaping heir grasp. The Links followed it through the portal but found themselves in an empty forest that felt eerily familiar.
I'm ending the story here, but if you want to continue reading, I'll provide a link to it. I want to thank everyone who has read it, and a special thank you to @jojo56830 for allowing me to expand on her work.

Chapter 16: The Trial of the Master Sword
Continued from Chapter 15. Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe
Chapter 16: The Trial of the Master Sword
With Skyloft repaired, the Links set out to retrieve the Master Sword. They arrived at the temple where they left it, and the Knight approached the sword, grasping the hilt with both hands. He pulled with all his might, but the sword remained firmly rooted in the stone floor.
One by one, the other Links tried to pull the sword, but none of them succeeded. They were at a loss, not knowing what else to do. Suddenly, the Knight heard the faint voice of a long lost friend.
It was Fi, who had just woken up but was still groggy. Fi instructed Knight to tell the rest of the Links to place their hands on top of each other's on the pommel of the hilt that was skyward at the moment.
The Links did as they were told, and suddenly they were transported to a superficial extra realm of reality. They found themselves standing in a vast, dark room that stretched out as far as the eye could see. In front of them was a door that led to a dungeon, and written above the door were the words "The Trial of the Master Sword."
As they entered the dungeon, they were each given a duplicate Master Sword to use. They continued to wear their outfits they started this adventure in, but were required to use a Hylian shield.
They were required to walk through another doorway to get to the main dungeon. The dungeon required teamwork, which was a foreign concept to the individualistic Links. But as they progressed, the group eventually got separated because the dungeon required them to enter their own rooms to advance.
In Knight's room, he was faced with the embodiment of the darkness he had been fighting for so long. It was the Demon King Demise himself, who had returned to seek revenge on Knight for his role in sealing him away.
Old Man's room was filled with the eerie laughter of the evil spirit Majora, who taunted him with the moon, and the consequences of failing.
Rancher's room was swarming with swarms of Twilight monsters and the fearsome Shadow Beast, who had once captured and almost killed him.
In Champion's room, he faced Thunderblight Ganon from Breath of the Wild. The tiny form of Ganon loomed over him, its crackling energy filling the air.
In Conductor's room, he faced the giant sea monster,Kraken. The tentacles of the beast reached out to grab him, threatening to drag him into the depths of the ocean.
Traveler's room was filled with the terrifying laughter of the evil clown, Ganon, who he had faced in his adventure. Vaati taunted Traveler with the thought of never being able to return home and seeing his loved ones again.
Hoarder's room was a dark, dusty chamber with a pretty girl in the middle, asking him for help, but he couldn’t, because she isn’t real, and all he could do was watch.
Captain's room was a pitch-black chamber filled with the twisted black image of himself, a shadow, if you will. The phantom taunted Captain with the thought of being scared of his own power.
In Smithy's room, he found himself standing face-to-face with Vaati, the wind mage who had once terrorized the kingdom of Hyrule. Vaati's powerful magic swept through the room, making it difficult for Smithy to even stand.
After they finished their respective rooms in the Trial of the Master Sword, they reawoke in reality, to find the Master Sword out of the stone, and they all let go of the Master Sword except for Knight. He retained hold of the sword, being the only one to hear the voice inside the sword. No one said anything. The day had gone, and they needed sleep. Knight made plans for the Links to stay in the barracks of the Skyloftian Knights.

Chapter 15: The Last Link
Continued from Chapter 14. Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe.
Chapter 15: The Last Link
The Links chased after the Helmaroc King, their swords and shields at the ready. The shadowy bird creature was wreaking havoc on Skyloft, destroying buildings and terrorizing the residents. The young blue-shirted Link ran alongside the others, his replica Master Sword and shield clutched tightly in his hands.
As they approached the beast, it let out an ear-piercing screech and lunged at them with its sharp talons. The Links dodged and parried, using their collective strength and skill to strike back at the monster. After a fierce battle, they managed to drive the creature away, and it disappeared into the darkness.
Panting and exhausted, the Links regrouped and assessed the damage to Skyloft. The Knight then runs off in a hurry to a certain house within Skyloft that is surprisingly still standing. The Links follow him into the house, to find a shaken Zelda.
"Are you all right?" he asked her as he kissed the top of her head.
"I’m fine," she said to the Knight looking down at her. "What happened?"
“The shadow monster attacked when we were vulnerable. Our defenses were down, and we had no access to the Master Sword. And we stopped paying attention to it. We are going to start rebuilding the houses. You stay here, and stay safe.” He said to her. He would never hear the end of this from the rest of the group.
They get started on putting skyloft together. They are almost done by the time anyone started speaking again.
"That was the Helmaroc King, a creature from Dragon Roost Island," the new Link explained. "But I'm glad to see that we were able to drive it away. We need all the help we can get to keep this island in the sky safe. Though, how it came back from the dead, that is another question by itself."
The rest of the Links looked at him in astonishment. “Back from the dead?!?” they asked incredulously
“That isn’t possible.”
The other Links exchanged a knowing look. They knew. The Shadow Beast can change into any form it finds necessary.
"What’s your name, kid?" asked the Knight without a second thought.
“Link,” he said shyly.
“He’s one of us alright, he can hold his own, that's for sure,” said Rancher approvingly.
The young Link nodded eagerly, and the group set off to examine the damage done by the Shadow Monster, and to try to explain this situation to the newest Link.
“So what you’re saying is there’s been a shadow monster wreaking havok to all of time?” the new Link asked incredulusly
“That is 100% correct. Now I don’t know if you noticed, but each one of us Links has a nickname to go along with who we are.” Rancher responded. “So, what did you do before, during, or after your adventure?” He continued.
After a few seconds of thought, he responds. “I conducted entire orchestras of koroks. I also rode a train to find a friend of mine.” “You sound like a Conductor,” interjected Champion.
“A conductor?”
“A Conductor. Conductor drives trains, and Conductors conduct orchestras and can control the flow of electricity. Conductors often make the best leaders. Keep that in mind.” Said Commander thoughtfully.

Chapter 14: Again?!?
Following Chapter 13. Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe.
Chapter 14: Again?!?
The Champion spoke with conviction. "Its only weakness is the Master Sword."
"The Master Sword?" The Knight looked concerned. "What's wrong?"
"I have the Master Sword. So where did you get it from?" The Knight drew his sword.
"I got mine from the Lost Woods," replied the Champion. "After hours of tireless training within the shrines to prove myself worthy enough to pull it. Despite that, the blade is loyal."
Suddenly, light began shining from the identical blades. They fused together, leaving the Champion's hand and embedding themselves in the stone in the center of the room.
Smithy spoke up first. "During my adventure, I never ran into no Master Sword."
Traveller and Hoarder shared a thought. "Ours looked different from this one. Our combined history is different from yours. We also had to return ours."
Old Man stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Returning the Master Sword to its resting place is a common theme in many of our journeys," he said. "It's said that the sword can only be wielded by those who are truly worthy, and returning it to its rightful place is a way of proving oneself."
Commander nodded in agreement. "I too returned the Master Sword to the pedestal in the Lost Woods after I had fulfilled my quest," he said. "It was the only way to seal the darkness that was plaguing my Hyrule."
The group fell into a contemplative silence, lost in their own thoughts about the significance of the legendary weapon. But their musings were interrupted by a sudden commotion outside the building.
"What's going on out there?" asked Commander, his hand on his sword.
Without warning, the door burst open, and a monstrous bird-like creature swooped in, screeching and flapping its wings furiously. The beast was a shadow creature, smaller than Divine Beast Vah Medoh, but still powerful. None of the Links in the room had ever seen anything like it, except they all recognized it. It was the time-traveling Shadow Beast, that continues to give them issues.
As quickly as it entered the building, it left, wreaking havoc on the rest of Skyloft. A new kid wearing a blue shirt with a lobster on it, holding what looked like a replica Master Sword and shield, burst into the room.
"We need to stop the Helmaroc King!" he shouted.
The Links leaped into action, ready to face the shadowy monster and protect the land from its destructive rampage. They drew their swords, charged forward, and prepared for battle.

I am just very interested in the presence of the zelda fanbase :>
please note that, for the sake of this poll, remakes count as one game. so like, if you've played the original ocarina of time and master quest and the 3ds version, that counts as one game.

Chapter 13: There's more of them!?!
Continued from Chapter 12. Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe.
Chapter 13: There’s More of Them!?!
As Rancher stepped through the portal, a sudden gust of wind hit him, and he felt himself falling through the air. Panic surged through him as he tried to figure out where he was and what was happening.
Just as he began to fear the worst, a figure appeared in front of him, riding a majestic bird-like creature. The figure extended a hand towards Rancher. "Grab on!" he yelled over the rushing wind.
Rancher didn't hesitate. He took the figure's hand, and the giant bird expertly maneuvered in the air, catching Rancher and bringing him safely to the ground. As Rancher looked around, he saw that everyone else had made it through the portal and was safe, too.
Champion pulled out his glider to make his descent, while Commander looked at Rancher in awe. "How did you know the giant bird would be there to save you?" he asked.
Rancher shrugged. "I didn't. He saw me and saw I needed help."
"Lucky for you," said Smithy, "I had to ride on top of a smelly flower!"
"The Deku flower is not smelly!" said the Old Man, sounding offended.
The figure on the bird interrupted. "Okay, you all seem to know each other. What are your names?"
"All of us are Link," said Rancher.
"Okay, can I call you something other than that?" asked the figure.
"I am The Champion of Hyrule," said Champion. "He was a humble Rancher, he's a Smithy, he's an Old Man, and he is a Commander. So our question is, What are you?"
The figure thought for a second. "Knight. I am Hylia's chosen Knight. And for now, let's get you all to my village."
They began to walk, with Knight leading the way. As they walked, Rancher noticed the strange architecture of the buildings around them and the unfamiliar flora and fauna of this new land.
After a while, they arrived at a grand temple that looked like it was carved from a single giant crystal. Knight instructed them to use their gliding skills to reach the floating island in the sky above them. He demonstrated first, leaping into the air and soaring upwards with his sailcloth.
"Race you to the top!" yelled Champion, and the rest of the Links accepted the challenge.
The Links followed suit, launching themselves into the sky and using their gliders to catch the wind and propel themselves higher. As they flew, they whooped and hollered, each trying to outdo the others. Rancher, however, transformed into a wolf and padded along the invisible paths that spiraled up the tower, taking his time.
When the rest of the Links reached the island at the top, they were surprised to see Rancher waiting for them, already there. "How did you get up here so fast?" asked Commander.
Rancher grinned. "I have my ways," he said mysteriously.
“I thought you might want to meet these two.” Said the Knight, after retrieving two more Links. What was interesting about these Links was, one wasn’t blonde, and one had green eyes. The one with green eyes was kind of shy and had brown hair. The other had pink hair, blue eyes, and an attitude.
Rancher raised an eyebrow in surprise as he took in the two new Links. "Well, well, what do we have here?" he mused. "It's not every day you see Links with such unique looks."
The shy Link blushed and looked away, while the pink-haired one huffed and crossed his arms. "Don't act as if you've never seen anyone with colored hair before," she said, giving Rancher a haughty look.
Champion stepped forward, trying to diffuse the tension. "So, what are your names?" he asked, looking at the two newcomers.
"I'm Link," said the pink-haired Link, tossing her head. "And this is also Link."
"Nice to meet you," said Commander with a smile. "I'm Commander, and this is Rancher, Old Man, and Champion."
The one with green eyes stepped forward, “I am a traveler. Always have been, and always will be. He however is a hoarder. Literally, he’s got tools for everything. Not to mention the maps!”
The Hoarder stepped forward, looking serious. "We fell out of our worlds into this one, trying to fight that monster," he said. "There's an evil force that's been spreading chaos and destruction throughout time. We've been trying to stop it but can't do it alone. We need help we all need help."
The group fell into a hushed silence as they absorbed this information. Old Man cleared his throat. "Well, we can't just stand by and let this monster run rampant," he said firmly. "It seems to manifest wherever there is the most courage."
Champion nodded in agreement. "We're in this together," he said, determination in his voice.
The group of Links shared a determined look, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Chapter 12: The Beast Returns.
Chapter 11. Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe.
Chapter 12: The Beast Returns.
As the group approached the Ordon village, they noticed something was off. The usually bustling village was eerily quiet. Rancher's cats, usually found lounging around the village, were nowhere in sight. The group cautiously entered the village, on high alert for any signs of danger.
As they walked through the empty streets, they heard a faint growling noise in the distance. The group quickly followed the sound, only to find a terrifying shadow beast terrorizing the village. The beast had destroyed buildings, and was now menacingly prowling the streets.
Rancher's first instinct was to help the villagers, but the shadow beast had spotted them. The group found themselves in a tense standoff with the monster. The beast let out a deafening roar, causing the group to recoil in fear.
"We have to do something," Rancher said firmly. "We can't just let it destroy the village."
"But what can we do?" Champion asked nervously.
As they were discussing their next move, the shadow beast charged at them, claws bared. The group quickly scattered, trying to avoid the beast's deadly claws.
As they regrouped, Rancher had an idea. "What if we try to distract it?" he suggested. "Maybe we can lure it away from the village and into an area where we can fight it without worrying about hurting innocent people."
The rest of the group nodded in agreement, and they quickly began formulating a plan. With some quick thinking and clever tactics, they managed to distract the shadow beast and lure it away from the village.
Now, with the shadow beast in a more isolated area, the group could finally face it head-on. But the question remained: would they be able to defeat the powerful monster and save the village from its wrath? With fierce determination, Champion unsheathed his Master Sword, followed by the others doing the same with their respective weapons. The group advanced toward the Shadow Beast, ready to face the creature head-on. The beast roared and charged toward them, its eyes glowing with an eerie red light.
The battle was intense, with the Shadow Beast unleashing powerful attacks that sent shockwaves through the ground. However, the group was determined to put an end to the creature's rampage. They fought with precision and coordination, each member covering for the other when needed. Rancher used his sword to deliver swift, powerful strikes, while Champion used his spear to keep the beast at bay. The Commander used his bow to deliver precise shots to the beast's weak points, while Smithy used his hammer to deal devastating blows.
Despite their valiant efforts, the Shadow Beast proved to be a formidable foe. Its attacks were relentless, and it seemed to have an endless supply of energy. The group was pushed to their limits, and it seemed like they were fighting a losing battle.
Just when things looked bleak, a beam of light suddenly shone down from the sky, enveloping the group. The light was warm and comforting, and it seemed to give the group renewed strength. The Master Sword began to glow, and Rancher felt a surge of power flow through him. He raised his sword and shouted, "For Hyrule!"
The group charged towards the Shadow Beast once again, their attacks now more powerful and precise than before. The beast tried to fight back, but it was no match for the group's combined strength. Finally, with a mighty roar, the Shadow Beast fell to the ground, defeated. At least that’s what they thought. It looked like it was done for, but it climbed to a sitting position and threw another triangle Portal. And it crawled through.
Now that it was gone, the people finally came out of the town hall to see the damage that had been done.
As Rancher was helping the villagers gather their supplies, he suddenly heard a familiar voice calling out his name. "Link! Is that you?" It was Ilia, the girl he had been telling the team about the night before.
Rancher turned around to see Ilia running towards him, a smile on her face. "Ilia!" he exclaimed, his heart racing with excitement. "I am so glad you are safe."
"I happened to be in the town hall when the monster attacked," Ilia explained, a hint of fear in her voice. "I'm just glad that you and your… er, friends… were able to take care of it."
Rancher smiled, feeling a sense of pride wash over him. "Of course, we had to help. We couldn't let that thing hurt anyone else."
Ilia nodded, then hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Link, I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but...I just wanted to say that I'm glad you're okay. I was really worried about you."
Rancher felt his cheeks flush as he looked at Ilia, feeling a warmth spreading through his chest. "Thanks, Ilia. I'm glad you're okay too."
There was a brief moment of silence between them before Ilia spoke again. "Well, I should probably get going. Your friends look like they are ready for you. But maybe we can catch up later?"
Rancher nodded eagerly. "Definitely. I'd like that."
"I look forward to it," Ilia said with a small smile before turning and walking away.
Rancher watched her go, feeling a mix of emotions inside. He had always had a soft spot for Ilia, but he wasn't sure if it was reciprocated. Shaking his head, he pushed the thoughts aside and made his way back to his friends.
Champion, Commander, and Smithy looked at each other and then burst out laughing. Rancher looked at them confused, not sure what was so funny.
"What's so funny?" he asked, his eyebrow raised.
Champion finally managed to speak through his laughter. "Oh, nothing. It's just funny to see you all lovey-dovey with Ilia."
Rancher's cheeks flushed as he realized what they were talking about. "We're just friends," he protested.
Commander grinned. "Sure, just friends. Keep telling yourself that, Rancher."
Smithy joined in, chuckling. "Yeah, we all saw the way you were looking at her. You're practically in love."
Rancher rolled his eyes, but couldn't deny that they had a point. He had always harbored feelings for Ilia, but he had never acted on them. Now was not the time to be thinking about that, though.
Before he could say anything else, the Old Man spoke up. "Enough, boys. Leave Rancher alone. We have more important things to focus on."
Champion, Commander, and Smithy looked abashed as they realized that they had gone too far. Rancher appreciated the Old Man's intervention, and he knew that he could always count on him to keep things in order.
"Thanks, Old Man," Rancher said, grateful.
The Old Man nodded. "Now, let's get going. We have a long journey ahead of us."
They continued to the newest portal in silence. As they approached the portal, Commander spoke up. "Who's going first this time?"
Rancher stepped forward. "I'll go first."

Chapter 11: Relationships
Based on @jojo56830's Linked Universe. Following Chapter 10.
Chapter 11: Relationships
"I could eat," replied Rancher, rubbing his stomach.
"I think it's time for me to show off my cooking skills." He rummaged through his bag and pulled out some fresh ingredients he had gathered earlier in the day.
"I'm going to make you all some Hearty Meat Skewers," he said confidently.
Smithy raised an eyebrow. "Hearty Meat Skewers? Can’t wait!"
Champion set to work, slicing the meat and skewering it on some sticks. He added some seasoning and then placed the skewers over the fire to cook. As the meat sizzled and cooked, the smell of savory meat filled the air.
Soon, the skewers were ready, and Champion handed them out to the group. They eagerly dug in, the hearty meat filling their bellies and giving them renewed energy.
Soon, everyone was done eating and the silence was killing them.
"So, Rancher, who’s waiting for you at home?" Smithy asked, grinning mischievously.
Rancher thought for a second. "Do you want honesty?” he asked. He waited for a second and spoke again. “Well, there is this girl named Ilia. We've known each other since we were kids, and I've always had feelings for her. But I haven't seen her in a few days, since I've been on this journey."
Champion starts chuckling.
Rancher scoffs, “I have no idea what you’re laughing about buddy! If I remember correctly, you saved a girl two days ago, and that next day after you fought the calamity-whatever-it’s-called, you and her were outside, and she was wearing your shirt! So I’m not sure why you are chuckling about.”
Everyone erupted in laughter as Rancher playfully swatted at Champion's arm.
The Champion reeled himself in, then spoke. “Okay, you have me there, but the Old Man isn’t innocent either. No, in fact from what I can tell, he’s hitched!”
Smithy chimed in, “Oooh, Who’s the Girl?”
“I can only imagine.” the Commander said with a chuckle.
The Old Man just smiled and shook his head. "I'll have you know that I am happily married, to the love of my life. Perhaps if we make it to my Hyrule in one piece, I’ll introduce you to her. But that's a story for another time," he said, with a wink.
Commander nodded. "You won’t possibly imagine the girls I spoke to during my adventure."
Rancher sighed, “I can only imagine.” then he looks at Smithy who looks sad for some reason. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I don’t exactly have time for relationships,” he said sadly.
“I imagine there's someone for you shorty,” Rancher says with a smile.
The rest of the group had dissipated to find someplace to sleep for the night.

Rancher nods in agreement, "I guess we're on edge after chasing that shadow monster for so long."
As they continue walking, they hear a loud growling noise coming from behind them. They both draw their weapons and cautiously approach the source of the sound, ready for anything.
"I can shoot an arrow into the sky, and you can follow up with a bomb arrow to create a loud explosion. That should do it."
Just as they finish discussing the plan, the Shadow Beast attacks. Champion and Rancher try to defend themselves, but they are quickly overwhelmed. Just when they think it's all over, they hear a chorus of hookshots firing. They turn around to see the rest of the team behind the Shadow Beast, restraining it with their hookshots.
After a few seconds of fighting against the restraining hooks, the Shadow Beast looks into the eyes of the Champion and morphs into a monstrous figure that the Champion knows all too well, a Lynel. But this isn't just any Lynel. It's a monster made of shadow, and it's stronger than any Lynel the Champion has ever faced.
As the Lynel-turned-shadow-monster charged toward them, the group prepared for battle. They all readied their swords, and it charged.
But they were ready. Champion had decided to do what he had a million times during his training. He shield-bashed it and sent it reeling. While it was reeling, he put stasis on the beast, jumped into the air, entered bullet time, and emptied an entire quiver of arrows at this thing. They fired arrows and swung swords, but the monster seemed invulnerable to their attacks. It was only when Champion finally struck it with the Master Sword that they saw a difference. The monster recoiled and let out an unearthly shriek.
"It's working!" shouted Rancher.
The Commander and Smithy quickly joined in with their own attacks, but the monster was still too strong. Suddenly, it disappeared into the shadows, leaving the group panting, frustrated, but still very much alive.
"Well, that was a waste," said the Commander, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"We almost had it," replied Smithy, with a note of disappointment in his voice.
The Old Man stepped forward, his eyes scanning the darkness. "It's not over yet," he said. "And it wasn’t a waste, was it? You are all still alive and may be able to fight another day. Remember that the next time a situation feels hopeless.”
They all thought for a second and stood a little taller that day. “I’ve got a question for all of you here,” said Champion. “Who’s hungry?”

Chapter 9: More?
The Champion smiled. "Well, where do I begin?" And with that, the two of them began to swap stories, with The Champion regaling Rancher with tales of his battles and adventures throughout the land of Hyrule.
Once they found the portal, Champion and Rancher worked together to gather nearby metal boxes and stack them in a strategic way near the portal. The plan was to funnel the Shadow monster towards the portal, so that if it tried to escape, it would have nowhere to go but through the portal.
As they worked, Rancher explained more about the portal and what lay beyond it. "My Hyrule is on the other side," he said. "All I had to do was step right through, and then I wound up here."
“If you’re right, we should be able to step right through, back to your Hyrule.”
Once they had the metal boxes stacked in the right way, they settled down to wait for the Shadow monster to attack. They didn't have to wait long. Within minutes, the creature emerged from the forest, its eyes fixed on Champion and Rancher.
The Champion drew his Master Sword, ready to fight. Rancher drew his sword and stood ready. Together, they charged at the Shadow monster, pushing it back toward the portal.
The plan worked like a charm. As the monster stumbled back, it was funneled towards the portal, with nowhere else to go. It let out a howl of fury as it realized what was happening, but it was too late, the monster already figured out an escape plan. It ran toward the portal letting the Links fall over. Just as the monster got through the portal, Champion and Rancher were just getting up to chase it.
On the other side, Champion found himself in a strange and unfamiliar land, with no sign of the shadow monster.
"We lost it," the Champion said, panting heavily from the chase. "But at least we know it's here somewhere."
“At least I know the terrain. I am home again,” said Rancher thoughtfully.
Suddenly, they heard a voice behind them. "Who are you?"
They turned to face the voice but found a group of respectable-looking men around a fire.
"If I were to guess, your names are Link, right?" says the shortest one, wearing a green headband and a tunic with four colors: Red, Blue, Green, and Violet.
“Don’t worry, We have your names too.” Says the one wearing a green tunic, blue cape, a single left pauldron, and perfect hair.
“These kinds of things don’t bother me anymore.” Says the one with a full set of armor, perfect middle part, and facepaint on his face.
Rancher suddenly interjects, “You are not from here are you? Or now, I mean”
The shortest one with the green headband speaks up again. "No, we're not from around here. We come from different times, same place. I'm Link, by the way."
“Who were you before your adventure?” asked Champion.
"I was my uncle’s apprentice. He was a Blacksmith. He made some of the finest weapons in Hyrule.” Said the colorful one.
“Oh, so a Smithy, eh?” remarked Rancher.
"And I was the Commander for most of my time during the war," adds the one with the perfect hair.
“I’m just an old man that happens to be one of you.” Says the one with the face paint.
Champion and Rancher introduce themselves, and Smithy chuckles. "I see our reputations precede us. We've been called by our nicknames, too. You're The Champion, right?"
Champion nods, and Rancher adds, "And I was a ranch hand before my adventure."
The group shares a laugh, and the Commander speaks up. "So does anybody know how we got here?"
Champion explains the situation with the shadow monster, and how they followed it through the portal. The group agrees to help in the search, and they split off into smaller groups to cover more ground.
After a plan is chosen, the Old Man stands up. “We will regroup here if we find anything. Understood? Also, one last thing. If you find the Shadow Beast, do not fight it head-on by yourselves. I repeat, Do Not Engage by yourselves.”
The group breaks, and then they split off in search of this monster.
After a while, The Champion and the Rancher start talking about the newest Links.
“What’s with the Old Man, you think? I mean, he looks like one of the masks I collected during my adventure, the Fierce Deity. Also, his right eye never opened.” Says Champion.
Rancher thinks for a second. “I don’t know. I’m pretty sure the Commander with the perfect hair is stuck-up. At least the Smithy seems nice.”
“Now there's a statement we can agree on.” chuckles Champion.
Suddenly, they hear a rustling in the bushes ahead of them. They both draw their weapons and cautiously approach.
Out jumps a squirrel.
