Wine tours are educational experiences; not quite the drinking only experiences as one would think. Yes, you will be tasting wine – lots of wine, but you will also tour the vineyards and walk the rows of the season’s harvests. Upon entering the facilities, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling Entourage Brut. Now that’s how you get a tour started!
We were then escorted outside into the vineyard where we learned how climate and Lake Ontario influences premium grape quality. Many vineyards will invite you to pluck a few grapes and sample them straight from the vine. For many, it was the first time seeing grapes on the vine, while others are more intrigued by the distinctive flavour.
After leaving the vineyard, we headed inside to visit the production area of the winery. We learned about the wine lingo as well as the production process. The rustic look and feel dramatically adds to the experience. There is something about wooden barrels and wine bottles on racks that will get you ready for the climax; the tasting, of course.
This was definitely an enjoyable experience of which the absolute best part was learning about the winemaking process… Just kidding. The wine tasting was the best part. We particularly enjoyed the ice wine with it’s smooth, sweet, fruity flavour. The red wine sample must be an acquired taste with a very tart earthy flavour. We would imagine that this was the type of wine that got the tilt, swirl and inhale kind of attention.
So much more than wine tours, may we introduce you to another aspect of the winery? Niagara: Savour the Sights Dinners.
You can also enjoy a five-course food and wine experience in beautiful locations throughout the winery.
Price: $157.62 per person plus taxes.

Recommendation: good for families and little children
After our first stop at the Greg Frewin Theatre, we took a trip down to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. The museum’s main attraction is it’s collection – shrunken heads and a life-size wax sculpture of the world’s tallest man.
Overall, it was a great time for family fun! This museum is excellent especially for kids of all ages. The admissions range from $10.99 – $18.99. We recommended this attraction for first-time goers.

“The Greg Frewin illusion spectacle is a quintessential component of a Niagara Falls vacation. Their show is breath-taking with a Vegas style format and features illusions that are both one of a kind and internationally renowned, performed by the International Grand Champion of Magic, Greg Frewin.”
We recommend going to see this attraction because it is a fun activity for families to experience together, a right place to go with friends, and an excellent place for couples to go on a date. The experience of the event and the atmosphere with all of the different people with you will create great memories for you and whomever you decide to go with.

The best part of the magic show was watching the people in the crowd react to the performance and different tricks. The various reactions to each trick and even how some people acted when asked to help out with certain acts created a fun environment for all watching.
