OC-tober day 14: Sato Megumi
The last of my long series of characters from my genderbent beauty and the beast retelling!
Megumi is the daughter of the samurai in charge of Akihitoāsā¦village? Town? The details are still kinda iffy but sheās rich and powerful, and you wouldnāt want to be on her bad sideā¦

AAAAAA YESYESYES SO-
Bailey Woolworths is a harengon bard she's my first and only D&D character because I'm so new to this. As in, literally just had my first one-shot beginner's campaign a couple days back and I used a pre-generated character sheet for that one.
But back to Bailey, she's a harengon raised by human parents who run a stall at the market or something. The whole community was made up of humans (maybe some elves but definitely no harengons) so she's like a young adult when she meets a fellow harengon for the first time. In their short time together, she suddenly realises how little she knows of her own roots and culture, and that's what motivated her to become an adventurer!
Couple more tidbits about Bailey under the cut!
Because of her dressing, people tend to mistake her for a boy. I mean, my mum definitely did when I first showed her my drawings of Bailey-
The goggles on her forehead may seem out of place for a bard, but they actually function like sunglasses. Bailey's eyes are particularly sensitive to the sun, which was apparent even when she was little. The entire market chipped in to commission the goggles for her, and she's been wearing them ever since.
The cloak she wears is double-sided. The lighter "underside" of the cloak has a cute floral design, which she wears on the outside for more formal occasions.
Her base design is actually based off of an LPS I own IRL!
Oh and if you're here for spoilers about her secret origin and lore and stuff...I plan to leave that entirely to the DM to create and implement as they see fit. Not that I'm lazy to figure out world-building stuff because I have found some amazing resources for those, but I've come to love Bailey so much that it only feels right to learn about her heritage alongside her.

I'm currently like, obsessed with these two funky little NPCs from my dnd campaign (one of them is gonna betray the whole party including his bf) (singular party member who follows me on tumblr if you see this no you didnt)
One of them can see ghosts and the other has a difficult relationship with his mother and is British I love them so much and am very normal about them

working on Iskra's family, since my teammates might actually find out some more about them soon.
Oset - father and a loving husband - fisherman
Tafla - mother and a housewife - used to be a barbarian (still carries a cleaver)
Iskra - their first child - their spark - fire druid
Wrzos - youngest son - fey sorcerer - works with bees
Rdest - daughter - wizard working with fabrics and dyes
there might be 1 or 2 more of them, we will see.
Iskra has been gone for 5 years and he is afraid his family is no more and the worst - because of him.
His family has no clue what happened either, but they still hope he comes back.

Finally! I get to introduce the protagonist of my genderbent beauty and the beast retelling!
The eldest son of a single-parent family unit, Akihito is determined to not only look out for his family, but also seek to better their lives. In a feudal society, he believes it means becoming a samurai, no matter how impossible or outlandish the idea sounds for a āpeasantā like him.
To him, itās a responsibility only he can carry.

OC-tober day 12: Hamada Natsu
Being the youngest of the Hamada siblings and physically weak, Natsu is often excessively fussed over at best, and looked down upon at worst. Either way, many people underestimate him, not realising that the anti-samurai posters strewn all over town are made by him.
If Natsu canāt fight with a sword and shield, heāll fight with ink and paper.

Yoko is the middle child and only daughter. In a society where girls are expected to be home-keepers, mothers, and nothing more, Yoko gets frustrated with her lack of freedom.
