Does anyone else love bad weather? Like the kind that’s loud and dark and draws attention to its self like pounding rain drops and thunder and lightning that seems just so close. And you can sit near a window and it’s dark outside and maybe you’ve got a candle lit or a lamp and it’s so warm inside and you’re wearing you’re favourite sweater and watching a good show or reading a good book and it’s beautiful outside the rain and the clouds and the sound of it all and you’re just so content and cosy and happy

He sang nursery rhymes to paralyze The wolves that eddy out the corner of his eyes But they squared him frozen where he stood In the glow of the furniture piled high for firewood

Yeah , my fc has shit to do with that one portrait of The Artist we actually see in the game , I basically picked it up when I noticed how heavy the wolf symbolism related to the character is in the game. My brain went H. Jackman in 0.3 seconds and yeah now you can and should all yell at me for utter canon inaccuracy.

ATTICSISTER !
Tumblr media
❝   i USED to paint,   ❞      she doesn’t mean it to boast, but as a desperate attempt to connect to the man. her PARENTS, while proud of their daughter, did not share alice’s passions, and her ART teacher is now long gone.
❝   i wish all our paints hadn’t dried out or been used up.   ❞

——— IT IS NOT RARE to find him in the attic. The artist’s ghost finds himself trapped in death as he was in life , running in circles - there’s a stack of canvases tucked apart somewhere , the same painting repeating itself over and over , never quite right , never quite perfect. Most of them , the rats started to chew long ago , with such ferocity that the well dressed , pensive woman on them is hardly recognisable , even by him.
❛ That’s good ❜ the man shifts his weight on his seat. Voice is deep as usual , but with a softer note to it , suprisingly not dismissive - Alice was lucky enough to approach him in one of his rare moments of rest , in which a little distraction can surely be tolerated. He would be lying if he said the girl doesn’t remind him of his own daughter , both in looks and manners ; perhaps it’s the resemblance that makes him softer , puts the faintest of smiles on thin lips.  ❛ Maybe one of this days you could show me one of your masterpieces , young lady. ❜

Just to be clear because this is important: The Artist WAS NOT PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE towards his family. The definitive version of the game ( mind , not Early Access , the DEFINITIVE GAME ) , as far as I can remember , does not contain physical proof of this being canon ——— and in case I missed something , on this blog he will not be portrayed like that. The Artist was very much EMOTIONALLY and VERBALLY abusive but NOT PHYSICALLY.

——— ❛ A CARNIVAL , SIR ? ❜ a brow is raised , his face a portrait of indifference. The young man seems entuxiast , far more than what could be considered normal.  ❛ To be honest , I have never been overly fond of those ❜ ( @mombath )
