If you like my art pieces, I highly encourage you to donate to my friend Mohammed Ayesh. I made these pieces to promote his campaign. The situation is urgent. Whenever I text him I worry that the bombs hitting their surroundings will fall on his family next. If you cannot donate, then I urge you to reblog so we reach people who can.
At the moment, his campaign is at 5,722 euros out of his 10,000 euros goal.
He needs less than 5,000 left, and I'm sure that we can reach that goal soon if we all give everything we can.
I know we may all feel overwhelmed with the present situation. But always remember:
If we feel pained and exhausted from seeing their reality, then imagine how they feel living that reality! We cannot allow this continue any further.

imagine you are texting with a friend and suddenly they tell you that a house near them was just hit with a bomb. in the middle of your conversation. to be more specific, think of the last friend you texted, open up your messages even and look, and think about how you would feel if that happened. how would they feel?
this just happened while i was talking with @nesmaah. she and her family are in constant danger and their only chance of escaping it right now is to get enough money to leave gaza. i'm leaving their fundraiser below. please share and donate if you can. these are real people who are in danger right now, who are suffering, who are trying to live despite the circumstances. do not forget that every single person asking for help is a person just like you and your loved ones.

In Yemen the death count stagnated at 15,000 until the war ended and the people were able to count their dead. Today, it's commonly accepted that over 300,000 Yemenis have been killed by war and famine. We will see a similar situation in Gaza after a ceasefire.

I swear I am going to start a seminar in How to Exist in Public. We do not block our coworker from getting their food out of one microwave while waiting for our food in the other microwave. We do not walk four carts abreast through the grocery store, nor do we park our cart next to an end cap and wander off to another aisle. We do not start making a left turn we will not be able to complete, thereby bringing the entire intersection to a screeching halt. We do not stop dead in the middle of the hallway to answer a text. We live in a society.
