Kids these days are just bunch of impolite brats

I'm sorry if it's sounds so harsh, but I am technically a teacher. I taught 7th grade & 8th grade. I teach them English, History & Bahasa Melayu. So one of the students wrote a horrible essay. He was not being serious with the tasks that I gave. I told him nicely to re-do his essay, but he lied to me, he said that he already did, while the fact is he didn't. So I sent him a screenshot that he didn't do the thing that I told him to, well guess what, he answered me "I can't do the essay, had a headache so I don't want to do it" gosh. I kept telling my students to ask me any questions just in case they don't understand a thing that I taught them. Tapi sidak sik tanyak. They failed to do their homework, they failed to attend to my online class, they seen my message, when I asked them nicely, they said "No, don't know how to do it so no"

I am so stressed out and disappointed with them. They don't respect me as a teacher.
