Genuinely, adding rude, demanding shit to a post will make me not reblog it even if I actually like the art and would otherwise have reblogged it.

Because

a) I don't want to inflict emotionally manipulative shit on my followers

and b) if people spoke to me like that in real life I'd tell them to get fucked.

this is assuming its on art you normally wouldn't jump to reblog. i myself only rb stuff i really really like so .

The 'rude/demanding' tone would be stuff along the lines of "if you like but don't reblog I'll [threat]" which i see surprisingly often, both serious and more silly

I'm pretty sure it's a silicon gel coating that they use, specifically to make it feel smooth. There is a bunch of different types of silicone for use in different settings, but I've also found that some cheaper silicone utensils become gross and sticky after a few years too in exactly the same way. We don't actually own any silicone baking trays any more because they just got gross and difficult to wash.

The coating isn't going to be the same type of silicone as baking trays, which isn't the same kind of silicone as sex toys, which isn't the same kind of silicone as used in mould making.

I just wish they'd test their products durability in various climates. I don't live in the only part of the world that's hot and humid! and it's absolutely ridiculous that something as expensive as a wacom cintiq that you buy as an investment becomes fucking sticky in a few years.

Especially since the silicone doesn't actually do ANYTHING. The function of the tablet isn't bettered by the use of rapidly decaying silicone coatings, but when it decays and becomes gross that DOES affect it's use. It picks up dirt and dust and hairs and it becomes impossible to clean. And it's not even something I can easily replace! It's the entire top casing. It's not just the replaceable grip on the pen (which is also fucking sticky). I have to pull the whole thing apart and they don't sell those parts. So in order to keep using it I have to carefully apply baby powder every few weeks.

Same as the hair drier, and my hair straightener, and the remote control for the TV. It's the entire shell of it. There's no reason that can't be shiny plastic, there is no reason it needs to be silicone coated!

Not every house has air conditioning and making products that don't survive in the normal environmental conditions of an un-airconditioned house should be considered a design failure, not user error.

I am BEGGING companies to stop putting a layer of silicone over every fucking plastic object. Things are fine if they're not matte textured! It's fine I promise!

Silicone decays in high heat and humidity making it sticky, and I'm so fucking sick of having to cover everything I own, from my hair drier to my fucking cintiq in a layer of baby powder.

I'm not sure if this game is for me, it's not gripping me and I feel like it's something like mass effect 1 where playing it in 2024 is mostly fueled by nostalgia and love from playing it when it first came out.

Except I don't have that nostalgia so it's just clunky and awkward. :(

Excited to watch the fallout show with my partner tonight, and we both have fallout 4 downloading (I know what I'm like, I'll get into it and desperately want to play and get annoyed that it's going to take all night to download)

But I'm also downloading new Vegas.

Years ago I played about an hour but quit because I found some fucked up stuff that particularly upset me, and assumed that since I found it in the first hour of playing that it was indicative of the tone of the rest of the game.

Ive since been told by many beautiful women that I shouldn't have even been able to get to that part yet, and it's very not the vibe of the rest of the game, so I'm willing to give it another go!

So, if anyone wants to hit me with your favourite mods, or anything you think is vital to playing, id love that.

Ordered some of my own art from Redbubble and I am so happy with how they came out.

My babies, I love them. I think I'll stick them on letters to my friends.

I was so tempted to get these ones as a t-shirt, maybe next time.

And the "90s kid = depressed adult" sticker that made me laugh and cry in equal part as I tried to immitate the RugRats font.

The Monster Girls in all of their glory. I kinda want to draw them again, specifically Nacre and Molly (mermaid and haunted doll) as Kumomo and Naomi both got artworks.

And also my awful mascot, because I had to.

It was many many years ago so the details may be incorrect, but I found a guy who had two women he used as sex workers living with him for protection, and his computer had diaries where he was talking about how he would let x or y "borrow" the women for a few hours in exchange for favours or debts etc.

I don't remember the exact details but I didn't want to play a game that treated women (and sex workers specifically) as objects to own and lend to people. I think the impression I got was that they were forced to stay and work for him or they would die?

Because I found it within the first hour of playing I thought the rest of the game would be full of depressing sex trafficking and misogyny, and probably lots of sexual assault too, because this was during the edgy times where lots of games would add sexual assault and abuse to be "realistic".

I've since been told the rest of the game is absolutely not like that, and that wasn't supposed to be at the start at all.
