It was such a beautiful day today. The sky was that perfect shade of blue. Almost electric blue. The greenery all around in leaves, lawns, and bushes. Life!

I love flowers. That's one of the reasons I really love spring. Seeing the trees all-a-blossom. And the daffodils that my mom got me were up this year. We took those with us from our old place. I had dug them, then had to dig them out of the ground not long after as I recall.
That's kind of a bittersweet memory, because we had to leave our house. Just kinda got priced out. But please tell me how the economy is booming lol.
I hated leaving our house. It's almost like a mourning process. And moving in here has brought with it its ups and downs and challenges.
But honestly in another way it's like the best thing that could happen. Because I feel like we were meant to be like this.
We're living with her mom now. But I have grown very fond of my mother in law. Dare I say, I think I love her more now than when I feel I finally got to know her.
It seems life just decides for you sometimes. We lost a great man last year. I loved him too.
And I miss my mom in Ontario. I wish I lived closer.
I love flowers.

This doesn't feel like a Friday at all. It's pretty warm but it was very gusty, at least earlier.
Not very traffic-y either. Maybe because it's Good Friday.

The Belko Experiment (2016)
Employees arrive at their office building which is is somewhat in the countryside in a foreign country. It employs mostly Americans. Little by little they realize that something is very wrong. And things just kind of get worse as they realize they are trapped inside the building with no chance of escape and their lives are just a game to some sick individuals.
This kind of movie isn't usually my thing but it was actually pretty entertaining. I both liked and didn't like the ending, but I'll keep that out of this review.
I don't think it's really a spoiler to say there's lots of blood and there's a lot of mayhem. So you've been warned.

It's looking very much like spring here in North central Texas. Lots of green buds, flowers are out, flowering trees.

Movies I Did Not Like Much
Cabin Boy. Thought I'd like it because the star of the movie was a regular on David Letterman. No. It stinks.
UHF. I love Weird Al Yankovic, but I didn't much enjoy this low-budget comedy.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It's pretty to look at but I just don't get it. Did not enjoy.
Downsizing. Man that movie suuuuuccckkkked. Silly concept from the get-go. Had nowhere to go but suck.
Sausage Party. I didn't hate it but man did I not love it.
Fargo. I used to love Siskel & Ebert and they both loved this movie. After that I lost my trust in movie reviewers. Just can't see why people praise this movie at all.
There Will Be Blood. Daniel Day Lewis hams it up bigtime in this plodding wafer-thin story.
Hot Tub Time Machine. Man, this movie really wasn't for me at all. Did not enjoy.

Grandma's Boy (2006)
Light comedy about a video game tester who has to move in with his grandmother because his roommate blew the rent money on "massages".
It's slightly raunchy, and there is a lot of weed smoking. It isn't laugh out loud funny, it's more a lark, a silly comedy.
It's in the vein of Step Brothers, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Cheech & Chong etc. you've been warned.
Three pot leaves out of five.

Justice League (2017)
Enjoyable superhero fare. Ezra Miller was quirky and likable. I actually thought it should have been longer, as it kind of takes a while to get off the ground. And to its credit I wanted more.
