Adjusting to a new country at the age of five years old was probably easier for Charisse than for her older sister, Sabine, but even for the younger girl at times it felt like living in a different world.  With her sister away at Hogwarts, she fumbled through the new language unaided by her mother, who refused to speak it at all.  She'd picked it up well by the time she went off to school, but was only able to spend two years at Hogwarts before the family moved back to France.  Making new friends with the other thirteen year-olds at Beauxbatons wasn’t easy, but she managed alright, mostly by being quiet and doing anything anyone asked. It was at Beauxbatons that she met the love of her life, Jacques Foss.  To no surprise from anyone, they married right after graduating.  It was happy for a while, but after three miscarriages, her constant nagging, and her habit to blame everything on him, the marriage ended seven and a half years in when he was caught sleeping with his assistant.  Once again, she was alone and living with her parents, so Charisse went looking for a job of her own.  She knew one of her father's friends was looking for a nanny, and gladly volunteered.  Shortly after, the father received a job in England, but as the children were so attached to Charisse already, they asked her to move with them and she jumped on the opportunity.  Now she's hoping for the chance to build a new life for herself in the country of her childhood—and reconnecting with her sister would be a good idea, too.

Edgar's always been the professor that many a student enjoyed talking to, but not many of them knew much about. Truth be told, not many people in general know much about the man, as he's not only fairly shy to those he doesn't know, but a private person by nature. He's only had two great loves in his life besides his love for teaching, and he's lost both of them, at least by varying degrees. The love of his young life died tragically in an accident in the muggle world she had been born and raised into, and the love of his adult life, Holly Crouch, has just now finally started to properly let go of the father of her son, Mason Jarvis. He'd had to end their relationship when he realized she still hadn't fully let Mason go, as much as it had pained him. Now that Holly and Mason have ended things, Edgar can't help but hope that Holly will come back to him. If she doesn't still have those feelings for him, well, he's content just remaining one of the best friends she has.

Until Greer was eleven years old, he had no idea of his magical roots.  His mother was born a squib and married a muggle; it was Greer's grandfather that was magical, and he had died in the First Wizarding War.  As a bright-eyed eleven year old, he was completely taken in by the wonderful world he found at Hogwarts, and set himself on a path to learn as much about his forgotten world that he could.  He kept to himself mostly, but could be social if the situation required.  However, the one part of his world that didn't attract him was the Ministry.  Instead of joining its ranks straight after graduation he returned to Edinburgh, despite his lifelong dream of living in London.  Six years later, and with an extensive background in odd jobs, he managed to escape from the rainy north and into the slightly-less-rainy south, where inevitably he felt the draw of the Ministry, and he's been working there ever since.  As he was thrust unknowingly into the magical world, he's always liked to learn; it was natural, then, that he went into the education department, hoping to better the system of learning for young kids just like he had been.  However, working in his department is none other than Molly Weasley, and he's started to take quite a liking to her.  She's just out of what seemed like a long and stressful relationship, so he's not quite ready to make any big, fast moves yet.  But moves he will make, and he's just hoping their time will come.

Lennox was never particularly captivated by the trappings of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.  While he was a student, he loved being there.  After graduation, he didn't feel that pull to go back like most other students do.  However, the one thing he'd always liked about the castle was the people; getting to know people, watching them grow, and helping them along on their way.  It was his best friend Emilie who suggested that he become a teacher, and he's not sure he'll ever be able to thank her enough for that.  Or forgive her.  He's been Head of Hufflepuff for more than ten years now, and has about fifteen years of teaching under his belt.  But the one thing he doesn't have, the one thing he's never really had a chance to have, is a life of his own.  His three best friends all seem to have had lives in varying degrees of effectiveness: Bentley has a family even if he's not married, Edgar had a very stable and long-running relationship until recently, and Emilie's married with children.  Over the years, Lennox has made an effort to start and maintain a few relationships, but all have ended for one reason or another, despite however real and strong his feelings may have been.  More than just a relationship, Lennox wants to do something substantial for the world, he wants to better himself and help someone while he's at it.  For all of these reasons and many more, the Hufflepuff is considering taking a break, though he's been told he doesn't have to make any final decisions until nearer to the end of the summer.  The way it's looking now he'll be taking a year off at least, but things can change.  In fact, he's hoping to find a good year of change, and is looking forward to wherever it takes him.

Slytherin Wins the House Cup!

It's been a long school year at Hogwarts, but now that all is said and done, exams over, and heads full, it's time to send our students back to their parents.  For those of you that got used to the peace and quiet without your hellions, make sure to prepare yourselves for their return, laden as they will be with fanciful stories and hilarious plots.  For those of you that missed your young ones dearly, they return to you for a few months to spend wisely.  There's only a handful of months until the next year starts up again... so keep your eyes on your owl post for next year's letters!

We hope that your year has been as fantastic as you set out to make it, and as we set out to make it be.  For those of you that will not be returning, we wish you nothing but the best of luck on your graduation.

Update on the disappearance of Dominique Westwood

The investigation is still well underway in the disappearances of Michael and Dominique Westwood. 

Also missing is Axel Hastings, but aurors hope to go to the hospital he was supposedly admitted to to check as to his whereabouts as the files saying he is there have gone missing.

Caroline Kingsmoore is the key suspect in the disappearance of Dominique Westwood as the last time the redhead saw the missing woman, she said some things to make her seem suspicious. Furthermore, evidence has come forth to implicate her involvement even further.

Holly Crouch turned in a necklace belonging to Mrs Westwood into the authorities upon finding it in her jewelry box. Information as to how it may have gotten there is still undetermined, but some think that perhaps Caroline planted the necklace herself to try to frame Holly. Another popular theory is that Mason Jarvis planted the necklace himself.

Caroline Kingsmoore is under house arrest until further notice, and Mason Jarvis has taken leave from work where he will be spending time at home as well.
