1 ) Attitude

making sure we have a positive attitude will always help us succeed in whatever we do. i know things can go wrong and can be discouraging but trying to look on the bright side and being optimistic will make life so much better. if something does go wrong, we have to try not to completely shut down, we should take a moment to process what happened, see if thereā€™s a possible way to fix it, then do so.. and if thereā€™s not we must feel whatever it is we are feeling (whether thatā€™s sad, angry, frustrated etc), then eventually let go of that negative feeling, accept the outcome, then move on gracefully
this also applies to just everyday life situations. we donā€™t want to be known for having a nasty attitude in general. letā€™s try to check ourselves in the exact moment we realize that weā€™re being rude or bitchy. now iā€™m not saying be fake nice or anything like that because itā€™s normal to get an attitude at times, i know i do. i just mean we should be more mindful when speaking to others and try to consider their feelings as well

manifest daily or weekly (have a journal and a pen for manifesting only)
Put In The Work : manifesting is all about strongly believing and knowing that you already have what you want but that doesnā€™t mean you should sit there and do nothing, you also have to have the will to make your visions come to life, work towards your goals and dreams.
4 ) Pretty On The Inside And Out

this year we are making our health a priority by eating better. letā€™s consume more fruit, more salads, more water etc .
letā€™s workout more often - go to the gym, try pilates, try yoga, try zumba etc
you can even romanticize working out so it can be a better experience for you. buy cute workout clothes , pieces that will motivate you to want to workout. buy cute workout necessities .. for example : pink yoga mats , pink water bottle , pink towel , pink dumbbells , pink bag to carry everything , bring your headphones to listen to your favorite music while working out
meditate !! life can be so stressful and it can take a toll on us mentally, physically and have us take our frustration out on others, so my suggestion would be to meditate regularly. meditation is a big part of my daily life. it helps me calm myself and makes me really relaxed. you can do it in silence or with some calming meditation music/sounds (i use meditation music mostly because it helps me concentrate
letā€™s work on our personalities - being a mean girl is so lame. letā€™s be more considerate, more generous, more thoughtful, more mindful, more caring, more compassionate. give compliments and give advice with good intentions.
keep our nails and toes done (and when i say done you donā€™t have to get acrylic & tips if youā€™re not into that, i mean keep your nails and toes clean & filed)
make healthy hair a priority
make clear skin a priority
dive into your personal style (see #8)
5 ) Journal Prompts

itā€™s important to start a new day, new week, new month and new year with journal prompts
journal prompts help us sort out how we feel
doing these help guide us on what we need to work on within ourselves and help us remain appreciative by writing down what we are grateful for regularly
each day or each journal entry write down one or three things youā€™re grateful for
each week write down 3 goals you want to accomplish
you can look up journal prompts on pinterest, make up your own or buy a journal with them already in there (i suggest having one of these because itā€™s so helpful and easy to get started if you donā€™t really know how)
journaling is a free form of therapy. i suggest journaling a lot because other than the fact that itā€™s very healing, some people donā€™t have others to talk to or they may not feel comfortable being so vulnerable with people, so journaling is a great alternative. itā€™s like your own personal therapy session šŸ’—
when youā€™re sad, depressed, anxious, happy, overwhelmed, grateful etc ! writing down how you feel can help so much. even when you donā€™t know exactly how youā€™re feeling, just jot down any words that come to mind

go through your emails and delete junk mail
go through your contact list and delete numbers you never call, block people who are toxic and even change your number if you feel like it will benefit you in the long run
unsubscribe from things that no longer serves purpose
go through your closet and get rid of everything youā€™re not wearing, everything thatā€™s taking up space .. donate it all!
clean out your vanity/ makeup case! throw out all old makeup, clean your makeup brushes, clean your hair brushes (better yet buy new ones), wash your scrunchies and hair ties
8 ) Style

keep in mind, you do not have to break the bank to get cute outfits! you can thrift, you can go to places like Target, F21, find pieces on depop etc .. so donā€™t ever feel like you canā€™t be cute on a budget <3

you can create a beautiful wardrobe just like your favorite influencer! you can do anything you want to do, start anywhere! even if youā€™re starting from scratch, one piece will eventually turn into lots of pieces and in no time you will have the closet of your dreams !

ā€¢Stop comparing yourself to others! Instead of being envious of another personā€™s success, learn from them and their success. Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on your strengths, learn to compete with yourself rather than other others, celebrate othersā€™ victories, and practice gratitude.
ā€¢ Good posture. It is scientifically proven that having good posture will make a person feel more powerful, calm, and confident.
ā€¢Eye contact. I donā€™t think I need to explain this one too much. Eye contact is extremely powerful. Practicing eye contact in conversations will help you feel more confident, simple as that.
ā€¢Speak slowly and thoughtfully. This is actually something I am currently working on. Be mindful of what you are saying, and speak calmly. Donā€™t worry about needing to rush and spit out your words.

FINALLY CLOSING THE GAP BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR HIGHEST SELF IN 2024.

You are going to STOP scrolling endlessly for self-help and advice content and you are going to STOP and apply the knowledge you have endlessly gained. Obtaining help and advice knowledge is useless if it goes through one ear and comes straight out the other. STOP becoming addicted to the idea of scrolling and scrolling for your problems yet you already have the resources to fix them. A fool is a person who cannot decide to take action despite having access to the information needed to do so.
BREAKING FREE FROM THE SCROLLING CYCLE
Learning and Applying is one thing, but Learning and Staying Stationary is literally brain rot. You're addicted to the idea of change and the end result, but you never take the steps towards discipline with a personal structure to get that result. You keep looking for quick fixes and easy hacks, but life is not a quick fix and no hack can elevate your life from 0% to 100% without visiting the rest of the numbers first.
TAKE A BREAK FROM SCROLLING
Take time away from your usual scrolling and learn to be on your own. Learn your own ways of self-care, learn what works for you and understand what you need, because nobody is the same. Following a millionaire's morning routine will not make you a millionaire. This routine has worked for someone to feel and be productive in the morning and was probably curated over the years to suit their current lifestyle. So, seeing other people's successes and comparing their working ways to your life is unrealistic if you are not in a position to implement them. Going straight from 0% (Being unproductive and procrastinating) to 100% (Being incredibly Productive and in tune with self) will not be sustainable for someone who has not built the discipline and the inner foundations required for it. STOP seeing information online and taking it without ALTERING anything to your personal situation.
STOP ASKING HOW TO AND JUST DO
"How to lose weight, How to become more social, How to do this and that"
Most of these things you ALREADY know the answer to. Everybody knows that to lose weight, you need to burn more than you consume. There is literally no other way, no magic and no secret hack, just that simple fact. I guarantee you know that to become more social you just have to be social. Learn to be comfortable in social situations which will require inner work, but it's not a difficult concept. Most of us know what we need to do, yet we still try to find quick fixes or another way that same message is presented to us differently. We act as if we are improving and developing on our "improvement" journey yet we are just finding coping ways to feel like we are moving, yet we are still in the exact same place as before. I know you know what to do, I know you have researched what you should do and ways you can do it. So why are you not doing it? Why are you still not where you want to be? If you are not where you want to be, then what you're currently doing needs to change. You cannot do the exact same thing you've been doing for years and expect a different outcome. You need to curate a routine suited to your needs that is realistic and achievable to adopt.
LEARNING TO MOVE ON YOUR OWN, STOP DEPENDING ON OTHERS TO FUEL YOUR SUCCESS JOURNEY LISTEN TO: NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE YOU BY JULIENHIMSELF Make yourself your safe space, your foundation. When you see yourself in the mirror you should be able to tell yourself "I love you", you should be so sure in what you do that nobody else can contradict what you believe in yourself, this is the end goal of self-improvement. Many of us have put aside our goals because we "are not ready", "people may judge us" or "I need to be/achieve ___ to.." Now don't get me wrong, I'm on this journey with you. I write on this blog to teach my brain how to think in the higher mindset that I'm creating for myself. I too have thoughts like this which is why in 2024 we are going to break out of our old selves to make room for our new selves together. We have to lose ourselves to find ourselves. If you're mood and self-worth are controlled by other people's opinions, then you will never advance further with yourself and will remain stationary. You have to stop allowing other people to determine whether you are allowed to pursue your desires or if you shouldn't because of fear of rejection. Don't take life too seriously, we are only here for so much time. So what if people make fun of you? In a few years will you look back and be proud and fulfilled of your past or feel regret and disappointment? This is a disclaimer that I am not a doctor, and your general practitioner knows best for you. If you want to reinvent and rebrand yourself, or just continue to make positive improvements in 2024, the first thing is to evaluate your current year.Ā 
EVALUATION
Reflect on how things went for you. Was there continuous growth? Were there many difficult times? Did you discover anything major about yourself and so on. Try to summarise your year in (a) paragraph(s) at least.Ā 
Oversee your goals. Which ones you didnā€™t, did achieve, difficult ones, easy ones and the impacts it had on your life.Ā 
Compare your dream girl then and now. Is your visualisation of your life currently different to the one you have now and why?Ā 
List any major losses or successes youā€™ve had in your life, and how they have helped you or why it matters to you.Ā 
This evaluation can be as detailed or simple as you like, but as long as you have a decent outline of your year.Ā 
PREPARING & PLANNING
To prepare for 2024, you want to know what you want life to be like in 2024. Something realistic to a point, but still is a growth journey.Ā 
Think of something that you can associate with 2024. This can be a word, a symbol, art, a song, a book, a movie, a place, or even just all of these things. When you think about your goals and your journey, this is your theme. This is something that should relate to your goals or your dream girl somehow.Ā 
For me, I chose a word and a song. My word is growth because, for me, 2023 was a year for just being able to shed my old self which I did achieve however I just felt there wasnā€™t much growth as an actual person and not just in my environment.Ā 
For my song, it is Mayflowers by Proleters and Taskrok. This song is the epitome of what I would imagine, is the most polished mindset. I would say perfect, but having a perfect mindset is near impossible. I want to have a mindset glow up because Iā€™ve just been hard on myself lately which has caused my confidence to plummet.Ā 
Before we get into the fun part of the preparation stage, we have to do some organisation in our life. I want you to take a look at your daily lifestyle and your habits, and be completely unashamed about this.Ā 
Then categorise these habits into two sections; Leave and Leap. Leave habits are habits that you are leaving behind in 2023, leap habits are habits that are leaping into 2024 with you.Ā 
Any habits that are self-destructive, addictive or generally harmful are leave habits. Beneficial habits and self-building are leaping with you into the new year.
I want you to do the same for people in your life, all environments (school, work, online etc) and anything else you believe needs to be sorted out.Ā 
This works better if you can reason with yourself why it is a leaping or leaving habit, but donā€™t try to convince yourself a bad habit is good or vice versa.Ā 
Now, I want you to document an honest paragraph about who you are right now. List your bad and good habits, your strengths and weaknesses and your behaviours. This one requires a bit more detail.Ā 
Then, write a paragraph about who you will be in 2024, your dream girl. List her habits, lifestyle, behaviours, mindset, strengths and anything else extra. Iā€™ll explain later but do not include materialistic desires in this your dream girl. Once again, this one also requires details.Ā 
Stemming from those paragraphs, I want you to create specific and achievable goals. SMART goals are best, but I want to introduce you to how I set goals.Ā 
I divide my year into quarters. For each 3 months, I have 3-5 goals for those months. Usually, itā€™s one from each area of my life. Then, I break down these goals.Ā 
Questions and How They HelpĀ 
Why do I want to do this goal - For motivation and commitment.Ā 
How itā€™ll benefit me - For the sake of improvement.Ā 
How can I involve myself in this goal - To achieve your goal.Ā Ā 
I prefer this method because it is a lot simpler for me, as I am just a young girl and my bigger goals are more in the future in which Iā€™ll utilise SMART goals.Ā 
To create good goals; Make sure they align with your current values and life principles first. Try to avoid creating goals that you have just taken from the internet. Those goals just arenā€™t it and you most likely wonā€™t follow through with it.Ā 
Be specific. Donā€™t say you want to eat more healthily, instead say you want to include (a certain group of veggies/fruits) in your diet and reduce the intake of ( food/drink).Ā 
E.g using eating healthy example
I want to eat healthy -> I want to start including foods that boost my immunity system and support my skin while reducing those that have the opposite effect.Ā 
Then break down those quarterly goals into monthly, weekly and daily goals. Make these habits that you can establish in your lifestyle and have a way in which you can refer back to your progress.Ā 
EXAMPLE GOAL BREAKDOWN
Quarterly Goal - Read 6 books.Ā Ā 
Monthly Goal - Finish 2 books.
Weekly Goal - Be or near half way of one book.
Daily Goal - 20 minutes of reading per day.Ā

Fitness/sport
Health and wellbeing
Mental health
Personal life
Relationships
Hobbies and recreation
Now for the best part- vision boards! Collect all of your favourite images that embody your quarters or the whole year, then put them in one place where you can see them regularly!
Some ideas are a scrapbook, Pinterest boards, mood boards, playlists etc.Ā 
Choose your theme; It can be your healthy girl era, your academic come back or whatever you want. You can have more than two btw.
Use quotes! Then actually say them in your daily life as a way to shift your mindset to reflect said quote.
Include inspirational people. It doesn't even have to be a millionaire or a very well established person, it could be your friends or someone on the internet.
Be imaginative. Your vision board doesn't have to realistic in my opinion, as the whole point of it to me is that viewing it daily and considering it to be part of your life one day allows for you to open up to those opportunities.
Materialistic Wants
I feel obligated to make this a separate section. This section is practically tangible objects that you want.
However, when choosing this said object that you want, mindfully think about why you want that thing specifically.
It doesnā€™t have to be meaningful, but as long as each thing on that list has got a purpose to you, and will serve you, I think itā€™s all good!
Conclusion
If you want, you can definitely start implementing habits before January. However, I believe that as long as you go into 2024 at least knowing who you want to be and shedding away any limiting beliefs, youā€™ll be fine.
Make sure to incorporate some self care rituals into your daily life as wellāœØ

HABITS TO IMPLEMENTĀ 
Movement (yoga, running, Pilates, walking, gym, etc. Anything that allows you to move your bodyĀ 
Reflection- make a note of things you would like to improve on. This could be self-love, relationships,Ā 
STAY CONSISTENT
Consistency is key. Make sure to stick to your plan and keep working towards your goals every day. Even small steps are progress. Try to make your goal part of your daily routine.Ā 
HOW TO STAY CONSISTENTĀ 
SCHEDULE- Setting schedules helps really well with consistency. Make a schedule for the tasks you need to do daily or weekly to achieve your goals. This can help you make your goals a part of your routine, making it easier to stay consistent.
STAY ORGANIZED- Keep track of your tasks and goals. Use tools like calendars, to-do lists, or apps to help you stay organized and remember what you need to do.
DISCIPLINE YOURSELF- Sometimes, you won't feel like working towards your goals, and that's okay. The key is to maintain discipline and do the task anyway. Remember, consistency is about doing the task regularly, not just when you feel like it.
START SMALL- Don't overwhelm yourself with huge tasks. Start small and gradually increase your workload as you build consistency.
DONā€™T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF- If you miss a day, don't beat yourself up. Instead, acknowledge that it happened, understand why, and move on. Consistency is about long-term progress, not perfection.
CREATE A PLAN
Once you know what your goals are, create a step-by-step plan on how to achieve them. Break down each goal into smaller, manageable tasks. This might involve creating a timeline, setting deadlines, or identifying resources or tools you might need.
LEAVE THINGS IN THE PASTĀ 
In 2023, Iā€™m sure everyone has had ups and downs, but not letting them define you as a person is something that has to be done in order for you to become a new person.
HOW TO LEAVE THINGS IN THE PAST
ACCEPTANCE-Ā  Acknowledge the past and accept it as part of your life story. Understand that it's something that has shaped you but doesn't define you.
FORGIVENESS- Forgive yourself and others. Holding onto resentment only harms you. Letting go of grudges can bring a sense of peace and open up space for healthier relationships.
LEARN FROM IT- Every experience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn. Reflect on these experiences and use them as stepping stones to better decisions in the future.
FOCUS ON THE PRESENT- The past is unchangeable, but the present is in your control. Concentrate on what you can do now to create a positive future.
SET NEW GOALS- Create new objectives for yourself. This gives you something to work towards and helps shift your focus from the past to the future.
PRACTISE MINDFULNESS- Mindfulness is about staying focused on the present moment. Practices like meditation can help you stay grounded and prevent you from dwelling on the past.
ADJUST YOUR PLAN AS NEEDED
It's okay if your initial plan doesn't work out exactly as you thought. Life happens, and it's important to be flexible and adapt your plan as needed. If you find that a certain approach isn't working, don't be afraid to try something different.
PRACTICE SELF CARE
Remember to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. This can include things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising regularly, and taking time to relax and do things you enjoy. Don't forget that self-care is an important part of reaching your goals.
WAYS TO PRACTICE SELF CARE-
BALANCED DIET-Ā  There is no need to restrict yourself from foods but eating a healthy, balanced diet is crucial for maintaining physical health. Try to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains in your diet.
EXERCISE REGULARLY- Regular physical activity can help reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall health. This doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym - it could be anything from a brisk walk to a yoga class
GET ENOUGH SLEEP- Ā Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Establish a regular sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.
STAY HYDRATED- Ā Drinking enough water each day is important for overall health. Try to aim for at least 8 glasses per day.
TAKE BREAKS- Make sure to take regular breaks throughout the day, especially if you're working or studying. This can help prevent burnout and improve productivity.
DO THINGS YOU ENJOY- Make time for hobbies or activities you enjoy. This could be anything from reading a book to playing a sport to painting.Ā 
Ā Ā CELEBRATE SMALL THINGS
Don't wait until you've reached your big goal to celebrate. Celebrate small wins along the way to keep your motivation high. This could be treating yourself to something you enjoy, or simply taking a moment to acknowledge your achievement.
