this blog is left up as an archive . I will no longer check notes/messages and I’m making an entirely new tumblr account to ditch my old main blog and it’s baggage (and a bunch of side blogs I have zero interest in but don’t want to just delete)

If I make anything relevant it’ll probably be on ao3. That account is here to stay for whatever sporadic human fanfic I do in general

I’m fine and it’s nothing personal against anyone, it’s just a combination of personal changes that made me lose interest. This helped me through the pandemic, but I just need to move on to new horizons.

honestly I’m probably going to pull out of kiss tumblr in the near future. The intrigue and fun I had early on is largely gone and I’m mostly just annoyed and/or bored now. This profile is the only thing really tying me to my 10+ year old tumblr account I’ve wanted to abandon entirely for a while and I’ve had an increasing pull to just fully remake with a new main

#i’ll post on ao3 if I actually make anything #but otherwise I’m just not interested in the social side anymore outside a handful of friends #I just don’t see eye to eye with many people and don’t get much value out of it anymore

The more I think about it, the more Paul and Velvet go from a mere notp to “chlorine trifluoride-tier spectacularly terrible together”. Some kind of outside force would have to REALLY force them together but lol they would be SO toxic and bring out the worst in each other it’s actually kind of fascinating to think about. Velvet’s a funny/terrible cerberus of Gene, Ace, and Peter’s worst traits. Erratic and unpredictable, violent and quick to anger, domineering, actually competent enough to do large-scale damage. Pretty much removes all the checks and balances that made the band stable in the shorter term and it could turn into a nuclear version of the band’s existing breakups.

#lol i would make most people here hate me if i wrote paul at his worst but it could be a terrible dynamic #i have genuinely no idea how they’d get forced together besides a deserted island #since in any semi-realistic scenario both would just leave lol #See: dee snider’s very one-sided beef with paul LOL

squinting and watching the dam fall at 0.25x speed only to realize quality is too potato and it’s too hard to tell what is what. I found a case study from semi-recently going into agonizing detail on how a hiker had a vaguely similar 200 foot fall, hit a rock, fell another 100 or so feet, and managed to survive that could he a good reference.

terrible alternate universe where Gene hits his head filming NTYTD and refuses to drop character as Velvet, quits/gets kicked from KISS from being too aggro for Paul to deal with, and jumps ship to Twisted Sister (or some Dee Snider solo project, I forget how their self destruction timeline went around that time but it was right about when NTYTD came out)

#The solo thing would be funny because velvet probably maintains gene’s weird soft spot for disgraced kiss members #tries to sell dee on taking vinnie or poaching eric c after him and paul fall out

more interesting concept than the bags of trash in the actual show: knockoff Gene as a tub of marble/neopolitan ice cream licking a smaller ice cream cone in a funny act of cannibalism. Can spit/drool strawberry jam (tongue is presumably a strawberry stripe of ice cream).

Frank N Furter/Dee Snider esque box of curly fries as a stupid trans fat joke (this I actually drew out and it made me ugly laugh)

dunno who a third or fourth would be, maybe a mutant kruller donut drummer or eclair (because of the face paint frosting potential)

I tried drawing a theoretical skinny Velvet and lol god it was cursed. Gene is ridiculously lanky with a huge head and honestly looks better fat because he looks more proportional.

#i basically make velvet look like gene with boobs slapped on #because he’s ambiguous enough build-wise already #meanwhile the theoretical fatter velvet (reunion sized) was kind of just a throwaway thing but really growing on me visually #it’s the double chin that has a sort of “regal” old painting look #reunion-era gene looks just plain big and imposing (even if it’s all flub lol) and if dressed well can look REALLY good

Every time I see her(?) I feel a bit horrified but she is hot. So I couldn't help but draw.

Particular about the shape of her boobs slightly distorted by cups

lol fuck me for ever getting attached this specific showgirl hat look, each one of the ostrich feather boas on it would be $200+.

The smaller original version probably has at least 8 and who the hell knows about NTYTD because that ones’s EVEN BIGGER and looks a lot fuller and maybe taller.

Making tulle boas is appealing option because even if they take 5 hours a pop, that still comes out to a better deal than working overtime for feather ones.

Stupid fetish post all about Velvet’s belly ft. Barbie doll nudity sketches. Under a cut so you can ignore this if you’re not into it

initial sketch from actual movie photos, Gene/Velvet is physically long and very squishy and could probably be corsetted into a more dramatic shape but in canon it just kind of squishes down the belly.

Approximate shape sans any shapewear. Nipple positions are marked for reference but no junk because I don’t wanna look at pp and it’s not really relevant here. Basically just Gene but with boobs because he already has a weirdly androgynous-in-the-wrong-way build that I think fits a character that’s 50/50 and very unidealized. Weight concentrated in very soft potbelly and big thighs with no hips/little butt, even layer of plush everywhere else. Shallow, wide boobs. Doesn't really get visibly muscular because they’re both very lanky and very pudgy. Simultaneously looks really chubby for their size but also “not that fat” because it’s distributed very evenly and they’re so long they look more proportional.

bloooooat. I tend to imagine that Velvet eats like shit and doesn’t take it as well physically as Gene and big upset bellies are common. They can probably eat a LOT and if their system doesn’t like it, it can become a huge gurgly mess of indigestion. I personally see Velvet as just having a moody, kind of sensitive stomach in general that’ll get puffy and angry over a lot of things. At least rubbing it helps with a lot of ailments and it’s hard to resist a cute round tummy that’s half squish, half water balloon.

Theoretical fatter Velvet closer to Reunion-era Gene sized. All belly and thighs with a rounder face and chubby boobs that are losing their self supporting firmness. Like Gene, Velvet gets and stays fat easily despite being pretty active (and way more fidgety than him) but tends to remain pretty healthy.

Bonus bloated fat Velvet for funsies. So big it pushed the boobs up a little lol

Bonus shitty sketches trying to figure out how big to make bloated Velvet, squiggles are actual abdominal cavity under the flab to figure out how much a swollen gut pushes it out
