SG Christopher Lockyear says: "Israeli forces have attacked our convoys, detained our staff, bulldozed our vehicles, hospitals have been bombed and raided. And now for a second time, one of our staff shelters has been hit. This pattern of attacks is either intentional or indicative of reckless incompetence. Our colleagues in #Gaza are fearful that as I speak to you today, they will be punished tomorrow."
He adds: "The humanitarian response in Gaza today is an illusion. A convenient illusion that perpetuates a narrative that this war is being waged in line with international laws. Calls for humanitarian assistance have echoed across this chamber. Yet in Gaza we have less and less every day, less space, less medicine, less food, less water, less safety."

It's truly fascinating to me because so frequently we hear/read analyses of how participation awards are turning us soft and it's making us weak and unable to handle criticism. Perhaps that is true, in some ways, in some cases - but the flip side of the coin is in a society that has simultaneously, oxymoronically honed in on Achieving Things, in a world where everything feels like it's going to shit and why should I bother anyway if we're all gonna die in a giant flaming ball of gas, I think it's actually really easy to forget that trying - just, trying - is a beautiful thing in and of itself. In a time where everything can feel so hopeless, it's actually a really brave thing to just try anyway. To just give it a go, even knowing we may not succeed.
Apparently there was some kind of race scheduled at a local park or something so I've been trying to avoid the main trail but a little while ago when I had to cross near it I overheard the following shouted exchange
Higher feminine voice: woo, look at you go! You're jogging! Keep it up!
Lower masculine voice (panting): you know it! Last place is still a place, baby!
And goddamn if that didn't rewire my brain a little bit.

Everyone should follow what's happening at Columbia right now. This is the largest protest there since 1968, and the admin just stripped several students of healthcare and housing.
The NYPD arrested over 108 students camping on the South Lawn yesterday. Now, thousands have joined the demonstration. As Israel prepares to commit genocide, Palestinian and Jewish students are taking the lead in protesting institutional complicity around the world.

music room's kiss scene • episode 3
wilhelm is a man on a mission. he looks at simon up and down, he's crystal clear about what his intentions are - the lyric of the song going 'i do what i want and i'm gonna do you' right in this moment is *chef's kiss*. he just waits for simon to notice him before making the next move.
it’s cute how oblivious simon is at first. he reads the room as soon as he sees wille's behavior tho.
let’s focus on wille humming and walking backwards to lead them into the music room. he’s so effortlessly playful, flirty and determined to get simon's attention.
simon doesn't follow him right away but stands by the locker to watch him entering the room first. you can tell he’s enjoying this just as much.
he goes after him eventually, checking the hallway once more, with the most unsubtle expression ever. they're my fav sappy boyfriends.
simon making big steps to push wille against the wall and kiss him - the tension must have been too much for them to wait any longer. they don't really care about anything but to love each other.
again, not having a wider shot to see wilhelm's hands makes me feel like something very important is missing :(
this moment makes me melt! i love to see wille towering over him but simon being the one still in charge, grabbing him by the jacket to guide his body. he doesn't mind at all sitting on the piano bc to stop kissing is not even an option.
their giggles in between are so them - smiling into the kiss is so them, especially this season.
they have to be in the most uncomfortable position ever but still need to pull each other the closest they can and deepen the kiss.
simon literally pushing wille's face away from him when they get interrupted is funnyyy.
they try so hard to hide the embarrassment. standing five feet apart is the first rule to not look suspicious i guess *giggling*.
chemistry so good that even their nods and hidden smiles are in sync.
their laughter are too much spontaneous for this moment to not be improvised in my head.
anyway, look at them being so freaking happy and giggly for not getting caught in the middle of a make out session!
something so romantic about their faces moving closer and closer with every whispered word. they're gravitating towards each other.
simon doing the triangle method for the first time - he learned from the best bf!!! and wilhelm is focusing on his lips instead.
oh they look soo annoyed. fair to say that the school's music room is not the smartest place to choose to have privacy.
but the point is they're finally out and proud and just want to make the most of their free time together - they do deserve it.
