The Major Problem with Anti-Cheat

Competing against other players online is a bigger part of video gaming today than it ever has been. So it’s no surprise then, that fair play online is being taken more and more seriously, both by gamers, who view cheating as a huge impediment to their experience and by developers, who are pushing anti-cheat software to keep players honest. And of course, prevent gamers from just quitting a game because they’re frustrated with how many cheaters are on the servers. But these anti-cheat mechanisms have come with some issues of their own. And notably, the solution implemented by Riot Games for their hit shooter Valorant has really ruffled the feathers of many, in the community. So why can an ostensibly good thing, like anti-cheat software be so controversial? And what made Valorantsuch a target for rage, specifically?

The answer to this question largely comes down to how exactly anti-cheat software works? You see, many solutions essentially function as “drivers” and in case you don’t know what those are, There are pieces of software that allow your hardware devices to talk to your operating system. But hold on, we’re not talking hardware. We’re talking a video game. So why would anti-cheat software need to take the form of a driver? The reason that developers do this, is because drivers often operate in kernel mode.

The kernel is the core part of your operating system that interfaces most closely with your hardware and as such programs running at the level of your kernel, gets special privileges, and can access parts of your computer that other applications cannot. It’s common for people who write cheats for video games, to also implement them at the kernel level, in order to bypass restrictions. So the response from software developers often needs to be at that level as well in order for them to be effective. And indeed, many anti-cheat implementations over the years have taken the form of kernel-level drivers, including Easy Anti-cheat and Battle Eye, which are used by Fortnight and Pub-G, respectively.

But while the rationale for running anti-cheat software at the kernel level might make sense, it still presents some special issues. One of them has to do with system stability, as giving any kind of software, that much privilege over your whole system can lead to errors or crashes if it isn’t coded well. (glass breaks) kind of like putting a team driver, no pun intended, with a learner’s permit behind the wheel of McLaren. Not to mention that poorly coded kernel-mode drivers can leave your computer very vulnerable to malware, that takes aim at core parts of your operating system. But while some of the major anti-cheat solutions, that work on a kernel-level have actually been fairly well designed and haven’t given users too many high profile issues, others have made headlines for the wrong reasons.

Such as when one notable anti-cheat service, the ESEA client, was exploited by a developer back in 2013 to unwittingly turned gamers PC into crypto-miners. And Valorant’s implementation called Vanguard has raised some additional concerns. One is that it’s always running. Unlike other popular anti-cheat software that only runs when you start up your game, Vanguard, well, it likes to boot at boot time. And originally Riot Games didn’t even offer a way to turn it off. The latest version, allows you to turn it off, but If you wanna play Valorant, you actually have to reboot your PC in order to launch Vanguard again. Pretty annoying. And while Vanguard isn’t only anti-cheat solution to run at boot, it’s been criticized for being especially invasive, as the driver is built to block programs it deems suspicious, yet it’s affected applications gamers commonly trust, like CPU temperature monitoring software.

Vanguard also has issues, not giving players proper notifications when a legitimate program has been blocked, blocking hardware like keyboards, and even, causing blue screens of death. Remember what we said about how is kernel-mode software can make your system unstable? And to top it all off, there’s also the argument that placing anti-cheat software at the kernel level, will entice cheat makers (whistling) to operate at that level more often as well. With all the security and stability issues that present. Of course, that isn’t unique to Vanguard.

In fact, Doom Eternal’s anti-cheat software, Denuvo was recently pulled due to fears stemming from the fact that it too operates at the kernel level. But big-name titles like Valorant, do tend to set trends for the industry, for better or worse.

iPhone SE 2020 a Budget-friendly iPhone for iOS Lovers

It’s here. The iPhone for every man, the iPhone SE. I’m gonna be calling this one the iPhone SE SE. The iPhone SE Second Edition. Go ahead and get this baby unpacked because this is about as exciting as I’ve ever been for an iPhone in my memory. Still is gonna cost you a cool 400 U.S dollars.

You’ll find a regular, non-warp speed fast charger, anything like that, as well as a lightning cable. It looks and feels basically exactly like an iPhone 8. Even internally, this phone shares a lot of similarities with its predecessor. Wow, face ID is gone, I didn’t realize how smaller iPhone 8 would feel until I went and picked one up in 2020. Not just a small phone, but a phone with a really small looking screen. I guess that’s why Apple advertises it’s reach-ability as one of the features of this device. The Haptic home button that Apple switched over to with the iPhone 7 is obviously still here and in fact, apparently the entire display assembly, so that would include the home button, is shared with the iPhone 8, but with a couple of caveats.

One is that if you replace the home button, you can’t expect to have touch ID functionality unless you’re Apple, in which case you wouldn’t be interchangeably swapping the screen for an iPhone SE and an iPhone 8. You’re not gonna be able to use True Tone and then finally, obviously the iPhone 8 has 3D touch and the iPhone SE does not. So even though that hardware might be there, if you put an iPhone 8’s screen assembly onto an iPhone SE, it seems like it’s locked out on software because it will not work. Other parts that are interchangeable between the two phones are apparently the Taptic Engine, as well as apparently, both the front and rear camera.

Front one, so that’s the same seven-megapixel shooter that we saw on the original iPhone 8. Hello, hello I’m taking an iPhone selfie. You don’t have any 4K video recording, as you would in the iPhone 11 and no slow motion selfies or slow fires, that one seems to be pretty much confirmed, but it’s the rear camera that there’s a little bit of conflicting information on. One other component that’s, I guess, a little disappointing, is the battery. So it looks like it about 1800 milliamp hours and it looks like the same battery from the iPhone 8, but because it uses a new connector, it is not interchangeable. Let’s get into what is new and, or great about this thing. It’s got three gigs of ram (3GB), so that’s 50% more than the iPhone 8. It’s got some software improvements to the camera including portrait mode, better video stabilization, as well as red-eye removal. It’s now powered by theA13 Bionic processor. The same chip that Apple is using in the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. So on paper anyway, aside from RAM, this thing should perform nearly identically to those modern flagships, at $400. One thing Apple doesn’t specify on the product page that I was really curious about, is whether the phone supports HDR video playback.

This is definitely playing back How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World in HDR but, this is only on a 625 nit peak brightness display, which means you’re not getting the full HDR experience than you would on something like an iPhone 11or iPhone 11 Pro or Pro Max. At least it’s got support for it though, even on a 600 nit display, it’ll look better than SDR. One other feature that shouldn’t surprise me but does, is that the SE has wireless charging and IP67 water resistance. It shouldn’t surprise me that much, I guess because the iPhone 8 did have both of those features, but those are the kinds of things I would expect Apple to take away as a gotcha, you know like, oh you don’t have another $300 to spend on an iPhone 11? Well, I guess you don’t need wireless charging that badly.

Really the only killer apps for the iPhone 11 are the ultra-wide camera, because the main cameras are, as far as we can tell so far, relatively similar. The better selfie camera, so it’s 12 versus seven megapixels and of course, with 4K video recording, larger better screen, it is a better screen and then Face ID, which for some people, is not even really a feature and they wish Apple would just go back to Touch ID with the home button, I mean it really is great. Touch ID is awesome, its super intuitive to use, I’ve always loved it, and that’s it. If my aunt was like, hey I need a new phone, this is it. With one gotcha. David, 1800 milliamp power battery in change. Garbage. – Okay, I think garbage is a bit of an overstatement but Awful.

Is that a deal-breaker for you? Could you even recommend it to someone? The iPhone 8 made it’sway down to almost $400 towards the very end of its life cycle. This is basically that, similar battery, but the way newer processor, more RAM, and what are you giving up? 3D touch? I think this thing’s a killer value, besides if Apple’s history is anything to go on, they’re probably gonna update this thing for five years given that it’s got a brand new flagship chip in it. I think it’s a great value.

As long as you’re not the kind of user who is going to expect nine hours of screen-time, 10 hours of screen time a day with some tweaks like you made on the Android site. Would you guys wanna see this concept repeated by Android handset makers? If Samsung was like, Galaxy S7, but with a Snapdragon 865 in it, would you buy that? Day one $400? Yeah, easy. Hey guys, Today I will talk about the “CRUEL MAN” who ruined the rights as well as the lives of people in their country. So, yes today I’m going to talk about the destructive man, who’s name was “Pablo Emilio Escobar”.

He was born on 1st December 1949. He was born into a poor family. His father was a farmer & his mother was a housewife. From his childhood of around 7 years he used to smuggle drugs from all over Columbia (a country in South America). And after it he put his hands in this business with the help of a drug smuggler named “MATEO MORENO” aka “COCKROACH”. After years, his ‘COCAINE’ i.e. (drug). I became famous in COLUMBIA as well as in AMERICA too. He was the first man in narcotics who supplied drugs in America i.e. in MIAMI, FLORIDA. For the very first time, he smuggled 600 kilos in Miami. Then rules got strict then he hired a pilot named “LION”. Pablo smuggled drugs to his private plane in Miami. Then after the demands got high and high and he was making money like nothing you can compare it. For stopping drugs the American govt. hired a DEA agent name STEVE MURPHY. He was a threat to Pablo because he already seized around 650 kilos of cocaine in Miami. Then the money and power of Escobar got increased and increased, He was an immortal to his people who lived with Pablo in MEDELLIN. So he was having a great local support and he always donated about 10-15% of his income to the poor people. So he decided to become the President of COLUMBIA. He got a ticket in the party but he didn’t become a president. This thing hurtled Pablo’s ego. So he smuggled 372 metric tons of cocaine in America. Then he killed all the people who came as a threat between Pablo. So the Columbian govt. decided a kill prize of 2.7 million euros. So what will Pablo did, this monster put the price on the innocent COLUMBIAN POLICE. And just in a week Pablo and his gang killed 200+ polices of Columbia. And a year passed, He again smuggled drugs in America but this time the weight was sky scrapping and it was 392+metric tons of cocaine. But at the same time he already killed 800+ police officers in Columbia. And he also killed the colonel of ‘SEARCH BLOC’ named ‘HUGO MARTINEZ’. Then he decided to build his own jail in Columbia where no police can be around within 3 km in all directions. He said that ‘I AM GETTING SURRENDERED MYSELF AND I WANT TO ESTABLISH PEACE IN COLUMBIA’ but the real truth was he wanted to smuggle more drugs in all over the world but no one would arrest him because he said ‘I HAVE SURRENDERED MYSELF’. He smuggled that much drug that he was also known as ‘ DRUG LORD’. At that time he was the 7th richest person in the world, but the people always thought that he has its own football team and his own sports car team. At that time his net worth was 30 billion dollars in the US , which if now compare it, then it would become 53 billion US dollars. But years passed his gang came to an end and now he was having only one of his gang members who were very trustworthy to Pablo. You might think that how Pablo is considered as a ‘DICTATOR’. I will tell you he used to give money to his local authorities to plant bombs, by telling “THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO FINISH OUR CAST AND THEY WILL KILL EACH ONE OF US”. So once he planted a bomb in a car and he used 202 pounds of gunpowder. And when the bomb blasted it killed more than 200 people in which many were children who were there to go in school. This was the time when the people of MEDELLIN got betrayed by PABLO ESCOBAR. Escobar’s family unsuccessfully sought asylum in Germany and eventually found refuge in a Bogota hotel. Escobar himself was not so lucky; Columbian law enforcement finally caught up to the fugitive Escobar on 2nd December 1993, in a middle-class neighborhood in MEDELLIN. A firefight ensued and, as Escobar tried to escape across a series of rooftops, he and his member were shot and killed. And this how all matter got closed up.

Summer is the season of doing those kinds of stuff for which everyone dreamed about. Time of infinite fun. You can see it at the ending of schooldays, children sitting on a class bench, and gazing blackboard riding on a cloud of imagination. Thinking Disney land. All the playtime and no homework what heaven! Not only children but grown-ups also sit in their office cubicle, in the middle of professionalism escapes for a while and roamed around last summer what they did. And plan to do more this summer. The summer day seems to last forever, and the fun never stops. Time of excitement. Time to take a chance and romance with life all over again and again. Just think what makes the summer so special, there are several things, 1 st of all time. O school, holidays, gathering, outdoors, beaches- sandcastles and a blue sky, hill stations-camp and late nights, milkshakes, cola, ice-cream, take snaps as well naps. Every summer curved a brand new story on the pages of life. In summer, memories waiting to eventuate. A summer day is perfect. Starting with the star called Sunrises, pamper/cosset with its morning gentle breeze and awake the flowers, birds welcomed him with their chirping. With a morning tea you enjoyed that morning breeze. The yellow radiant rays of light that shine through the world. Children playing in compound, and you want the same. In the evening the sun is still there to give you some more time. After a whole day, you see the sunsets, melting on the horizon creating a master-piece painting every day. Those colors fill your heart too. Again there comes the night when all those stars shine and remind you to dream sweetest dreams. Those dreams sparkle your life. Maybe some of you thought, what a silly childish thing it is. But my dear friend, these childish things are exactly what life is meant to be. It’s not only a child’s imaginations. Yes but unfortunately in this time no one reminds us that there is a child in all of us. And to be alive we have to give breathing space to that child. If you can hear the signs of nature, you’ll realize that in this season not only trees but our life also retrieve. And that’s exactly what said the summer wind chimes. Those silly moments you shared with beloveds. Eating Ice- cream and your whole hand and mouth covered with it. The Titillation /tickles when you slip an ice cube in your friend’s shirt. Enjoying all this and suddenly wind chimes bells like a ring and brought you back from your memories. And again you just smile safely placing memories in your heart. Watching the shining radiant sun and planning to make more memories. The summer is the time for gatherings, and behind gatherings celebration comes with the boom. Every summer comes with a chance to be united with loved ones. And gives you the chance to make some more dear friends. even it lets you fall in love again with everything. Time has been kind enough to give us, Indians a chance to become more prudent towards our existence. We can say that, we are bettering ourselves. But there is a hidden question inside this whole scenario. Question is about our intellect, our maturity as a human being. Now, one can wonder why so! The reason is our blindness. Yes, Most of us are blind by so many things. Some are blind by greed, some are blind by selfishness, and some are blind by ambition. But these all factors can prevent us from being righteous. And besides this, some are so full of moral ethics, that tie us a hand from doing the proper thing or resist us from act mature. I can give you a perfect example of it. Today’s Indian government is counted among the best leadership. Ok, agree at some point. But Is it that good that we cannot raise questions? Should we blindly trust the leader? Why, Is he, God! Don’t think so, but we are such pathetic in terms of the independent intellect, that we always find some support to lean on. We don’t trust ourselves with that faith, which we put in others. We seek options, but we don’t give ourselves that chance to become one of the options. Just a common example is our Indian political scenario. BJP is a governing party, and INC is in opposition. But why we choose BJP second time? Because, we don’t trust INC enough to rule our country. So apart from other reasons to choose BJP, the main reason is our lake of trust in INC. So our as in common man’s lake of trust in one party, gains profit for the other party. But meanwhile, what we get? We are at the only there where we were. There is a famous saying that, change begins with self. It seems that we Indians don’t take that seriously. I agree that right now India gains weight at the international level because of its strong leadership. And there is no doubt that our leader is among the best, but that doesn’t mean that we should not try to act our best. We should not forget that the leader himself comes from a crowd. And we are the crowd. So bettering ourselves, we can improve mass. It can impact society in a way, to improve. Change is only constant. But we are so afraid of changes. We just forget that whether we accept or not, change is going to happen. So just relax. And with a calm mind accept changes, so that we can improvise. But unfortunately some of us are so blinded by the faith in a person, or say in a leader or leadership that they cannot identify their potential. Maybe this is more like not faith but their lethargy to sake their hand from the actual responsibility of being portrait. They make themselves believe that on behalf of their duty, the person whom they choose does the work. Now really think, is it fair? Is this we being mature? Is it justified our patriotism, to lean on another person for fulfilling our duty! Think Indians Think. Be the change our country needs.

The new Huawei GT2e SmartWatch the more younger and sporty looking cousin of GT2 watch, so let us go through some of the key features that you need to know about the Huawei GT2e watch.

You might be wondering whats the difference is between the GT2e and the original GT2 well we will know more about it later in this article.

The number one most obvious difference between the GT2e and the original GT2 is the design. The original GT2 has a more classic and formal watch design whereas, the GT2e Huawei is going for a much younger more sporty look.

The crown on the GT2e has been redesigned(or completely removed in my opinion) with what Huawei calls a concealed crown.

The dial or bezel covering the display has no markings on the mint green and icy white variants. The other two variants have markings on the dial (my personal preference).

The GT2e watch comes in four different color variants graphite black, icy white, mint green, and lava red. The color difference is only really applied to the newly-redesigned fluoro rubber TPU wrist straps.

The wristband attached to the stainless steel body gives it a unibody look which looks pretty awesome.

There are even more watch faces that have been added to the Huawei health app with the launch of the GT2e watch.

The GT2e and GT2 both have a stainless steel body with the same 1.39-inch retina AMOLED display with the resolution of 454×454 pixels.

Riding with UBER? Use a mask or get your account banned permanently!

As countries are lifting lockdowns all over the world, cab/taxi services such as Uber are going to continue their services. According to a part of its new guidelines, the company has made it mandatory for riders and drivers both to wear masks and follow sanitization instructions.

However, if you exceed the Uber‘s guidelines by not using a mask or removing it off during the ride, the cab driver can report your activity to Uber — and you’ll have to face the action taken by Uber. You will first get a warning message from the company. But with multiple obligations, the company can permanently ban you from the platform.

Sachin Kansal, senior director of product management at Uber, told journalists on a call that “both drivers and riders have to follow the company’s coronavirus-related guidelines strictly. If there are multiple reports against them, the firm can take further action and even ban you from the platform.”

Uber didn’t specify how many reports will result in a ban for either driver or rider. It also didn’t say if this ban is permanent or for a short spell. We’ve questioned the company for further details, and we’ll update this post as soon as we get a reply from the company.

Last week, Uber said that they will use AI to check that drivers are wearing a mask while accepting a ride. It’ll ask drivers to upload a selfie with the mask every time when they accept a ride.

New AI feature of Microsoft can schedule your smart to-do lists from your emails

Researchers from the University of Washington and Microsoft’s AI team today revealed a ‘Smart To-Do’ tool for automatically scheduling task lists from emails.

Smart To-Do List is an AI feature that scans your outgoing emails for actionable text and turns your self-given works/jobs into a schedule on an automatically generated to-do list.

If, for example, you tell your friend that you’ll give him a sales report, the AI will put something like “update “FRIEND” with the sales report” on your to-do list with the appropriate deadline.

This ideally upcoming element was uncovered in a pre-print inquire about paper distributed on arXiv .

According to the paper: “In this work, we introduce the task of automatically generating To-Do items from email context and meta-data to assist users with following up on their promised actions (also referred to as commitments in this work). Given an email, its temporal context (i.e. thread), and associated meta-data like the name of the sender and recipient, we want to generate a short and succinct To-Do item for the task mentioned in the email”.

It’s much easy to see how this could be useful. Instead of leaving your inbox to go set up your to-do list before you forget, you could just read and reply to all of your emails knowing that AI would list out your commitments and also notify you before the deadline.

The team had to build the system probably from scratch. To the best of our knowledge, no similar AI system exists to date, which means Microsoft has to develop everything from the task parameters to the datasets. The result is a robust pipeline for converting text to tasks from the email environment.

We can’t wait to use the Smart To-Do List, but there is a chance in the near future. Actually there’s no surety that it’ll actually start-up on Outlook or other mailing services any time soon, pre-print papers are always subject to change which means it’s just something which has no surety, and big tech often works with features that never end up during production.

But we did find this official stub for Smart To-Do on Microsoft‘s research site. Apparently the researchers from Microsoft will present Smart To-Do at the Annual Conference of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL 2020), which will be online around June due to this global pandemic of COVID-19 or Corona Virus. This looks good for the element’s future and we can expect significantly more data about it at that point.

We reached out to Microsoft to check on if and when Smart To-Do was coming to email, we’ll update this article as soon as we get some reply from them.

When users activate the Photochrome mode in the camera app, the camera can be targeted at anything made up of a unique plastic material that is used in our day to day life, as you move the camera you can see the components inside through the plastic itself.

The secret feature was first exposed on the Internet in a tweet by Ben Geskin who is famously known for leaking both accurate and inaccurate apple leaks, which is shown below.

When the filter enabled, the camera can see through the outer plastic to reveal the hardware electronic components inside Apple TV. Plot:

The Forgotten army is a series based on history. So much pain & atrocities faced by our freedom fighters who gave their all to fight for the freedom of our nation and they have been silently forgotten in the meantime. In this series, the use of our soldiers for personal gain by British and Japanese are shown. Without the Hindustani fauj England couldn’t rule in our country. And we are taught that old tarts like Gandhi Nehru fought for our freedom. Our history has been compromised at a big level. Thanks to Kabir Khan for this amazing series about INA. Shahrukh khan is narrating the forgotten army.

Great resolve and stubborn patriotism can only get you so far. Kabir Khan attempts to put across the immense struggles faced by the INA in their efforts to get back to Delhi, India. The Chalo Dilli movement inspired a spark of hope but as the soldiers learn, there were a lot of sacrifices to be made in bringing that vision to life.

episode 1: Shonan

Mr.Sodhi, An introvert is coming to his sister’s(Urmila’s) home, where he meets Shubhash(Urmila’s son) and Amar(Shubhas’s son) in Singapore. Amar is studying journalism and is working on 42’s war. He gets in touch with Mr.Sodhi and recalls the British-Japanese war.

Episode 2: POW

During the war, Britishers surrender themselves and on the field, the British army wins the battle. The Goras got killed and the Indian soldiers were taken to Singapore to form an Azad hind fauj. Where Mr.sodhi comes in contact with Maya. The Indian soldiers transformed when Netaji inspired them to form the Indian National Army. Maya, an aspiring photographer, joins this freedom army by giving her earrings. After that, Sodhi and Arshad realize that they have to fight to free Bharat Mata from British people.

Episode 3: Chalo Dilli

The first-ever women regiment was conducted at that time. Maya and rasamma both joined the Indian army with other girls aged 19-20. The training session got started for all the recruits. All of them were allowed to leave the army after the orders came. But none of them left the army. A very wonderful thing is that none of them been to India but they were ready to die for their motherland Where in the present time( in 1996) Amar reaches Burma with Mr. Sodhi and in the crises, Mr.sodhi fires a gun to the cop and runs away.

Episode 4: Harakiri

The tents got bombarded by the planes but the Indian soldiers didn’t lose hope. Dai-Chi committing suicide, his head is sloshed off before the sword hits the ground. In the present day, they keep running from the Japanese cops and find himself in Rangoon. The Indian soldiers got lost and the women recruitment is in search of it. Maya writes a letter and keeps it below the buddha statue. She keeps believing that she will find Sodhi soon. In the rains, she found the Indian army and heals their wound with the help of the Rani Jhansi regiment. Due to this, the Japanese were offered to retreat.

Episode 5: Maya

Maya plays short but a very important role in Surinder Sodhi’s life. The Azad hind fauj was attacked by the British air force. The fauj was given two options; one to survive and reach Rangoon or to fight for the motherland. Sodhi orders all injured soldiers to leave the campsite and reach Rangoon with a women regiment. The war got to begin and Maya worrying about Sodhi leaves the campsite and come back to the battlefield. She looks for Sodhi but could not find him. Then she changes her identity and runs a school for women/girls. She always keeps saying that Mr.sodhi is the man she loved. In 1996, they keep escaping away and old Sodhi injures his leg. He asks Amar to leave and get help from the Indians. He fights their but loses his life at the place where the Indian fauj martyred.

The Forgotten Army is a series that has action, drama, and history. Kabir khan has used real footage of the Indian army and the Chalo Dilli march to show the realism in the series. The dialogues are not only the key for a successful movie/series but the execution is. Sunny Kaushal(Surinder Sodhi) has done a fabulous job in dialogue delivery and with his expressions also with an appropriate bass in his voice. When he’s talking with Maya, the softness comes out in this voice, when he’s giving orders, the voice is on a peak, When he’s with his friends while chilling, he uses a normal voice but sounds jolly.

On the other hand, Sharvari wagh (Maya) is someone who wants to fight for the country but parents don’t allow her. the dai-chi, he was a wonderful character, rude and arrogant. TJ Bhanu(Rassamma) who cleans the courtyards, and is called by British peoples to spend a night, when she said no, the officer raped her in a forest. then she fights for her self respect.

These all small characters have a different past but for the sake of motherland India, they get united and fought. but they were forgotten for a long time, they were not given pension from the Indian government, but when the public protested against the government they were given the respect and a statue was built for those who were martyred during the fight.
