A Study in Pink first aired 1396 days ago (as of May 21 2014)
S1 lasted for 15 days
S2 also lasted for 15 days
S3 lasted for 12 (not counting MHR)
That means since the first episode of Sherlock we have been on hiatus for 1354 out of 1396 days or approximately 97% of the time and every day the ratio worsens…

5 Season 8 Doctor Who Facts
There will be 13 episodes starting this autumn. The return of Doctor Who after almost 9 months excites us all! We get to see a new Doctor and start the cycle again of missing the old Doctor until we grow to love Capaldi and cry when he leaves, and miss him when the next Doctor arrives.
The orange spacesuits have returned. As many of you have seen already they're bringing back the suits used in The Impossible Planet and The Beast Below. How the Doctor and Clara will use them in this season, we don't know yet.
Matt Smith will be returning. As a veteran now, he's no longer our current Doctor, but it is rumored that he will be playing a cameo in the first half of the season.
Characters will be returning. Jack the Ripper, the Clockwork Druids, and the Paternoster Gang will be back once again. I bet we all miss Strax.
There will be a Christmas special, yet again. It will be somewhere between episodes 6-16, which tells us that the series will start no later than November. Start counting down!
